A lone French soldier fights for survival amidst the terror and danger of mankind’s most brutal and horrifying conflict, in a new and original take on survival horror, coming to PC in 2024

Tuesday, 8 August 2023. Team17 and Australian developer Catchweight Studio today announced a partnership to bring CONSCRIPT to PC in 2024. Created over six years by a solo developer in Melbourne, Australia, CONSCRIPT plunges players into the trenches of World War 1 in a survival horror experience inspired by the classics of the genre.

Set in 1916 during the Great War, CONSCRIPT blends the punishing mechanics of classic horror titles into a cohesive, tense, and original survival horror experience. In CONSCRIPT players explore the trenches of Verdun as a lone French soldier searching for his missing-in-action brother to ensure a home goes unbroken. 

Plan. Explore. Survive. Players will dive into the madness of war, engage in brutal combat against enemy soldiers, manage limited supplies, and solve complex environmental puzzles.

CAMBRIDGE, England – Aug. 7, 2023 – Launching today, Necromancy, RuneScape’s 29^th skill, rises in the iconic MMORPG. Necromancy is a brand-new standalone combat style – the first of its kind across RuneScape’s two-decade history!

Necromancy is one of RuneScape’s premiere updates for 2023 and introduces a new element to the current combat gameplay. This new combat style will challenge both experienced and new players alike as they embrace their inner darkness and learn this ancient combat art across a lore-rich adventure. Necromancy introduces nine brand-new quests and two deadly boss fights.

Players will enter Gielinor’s underworld – the City of Um – to commune and free the undead. Every year, thousands of gaming fans tune in to learn more about their new favorite indie games and studios. This year, the show will be hosted by Super Crowd, the organizers behind the popular Indie Arena Booth.

The exciting showcase will be hosted by Shay Thompson, journalist and presenter known in the gaming industry for her work with Bafta and BBC. During the 90-minutes long livestream, viewers will get to see exciting new game announcements, eye-catching trailers and gameplay reveals. 

Super Crowd are the organizers behind the Indie Arena Booth at gamescom, a unique shared developer booth that showcases independent game developers and their creative projects. Fans can find a curated selection of the best and most innovative indie games from around the world, ranging from action-packed shooters to narrative-driven adventures, and everything in between. Not only are they experts in the gaming industry, but also the perfect hosts for the Awesome Indies showcase!

Last year, the Awesome Indies live stream drew in more than 40.000 peak concurrent viewers across all streaming platforms. This year it will be streamed live via gamescom now, the gamescom Twitch and YouTube channels as well as co-streamed by the Indie Arena Booth Twitch channel. TEKKEN 8 is getting a completely new character to join the series. Meet Azucena, an all-new character created for TEKKEN 8.Raven, the UN secret intelligence agent, also returns to the game after appearances in TEKKEN 5 and TEKKEN 6.

Known as the “Coffee Queen”, Azucena is an MMA fighter from Peru. She is the latest heir in the Ortiz family line, a family running a Peruvian coffee plantation. She decided to compete in The King of Iron Fist Tournament to promote the Ortiz Farm. Azucena fights using movement based on Mixed Martial Arts, while incorporating some slightly unconventional techniques, such as the Liberador, where she shifts into a stance in which she doesn’t block her opponents but dodges their attacks by instinct.

After his disappearance following the events of TEKKEN 6, Raven underwent intensive training and comes back even stronger in TEKKEN 8. His style mixing ninjutsu and powerful strikes, along with his unique “Soul Field” stance, will give players a versatile arsenal, using clones and teleportation to master the rhythm of the battlefield.
