Monday, 18th September 2023 – Black Salt Games and Team17 Digital have today released the third free update for the multi-award-winning sinister fishing adventure DREDGE. In addition to a photo mode and ‘cosy’ mode, which arrived in the game’s first two updates earlier in the year, DREDGE’s third update adds the ability for players to customise their craft and beef up their bestiary as they scour the depths for 13 creepy new ‘craberrations’.

Players can speak to the new ‘Painter’ character found in the game’s starting area to choose a flag for their vessel and a new lick of paint, then set sail to search the seas for additional items to spruce up their trawler while hunting for 13 new twisted crustaceans, whose capture will unlock even more customisation options.

SYDNEY (Sept. 18, 2023) – SQUARE ENIX® has announced a playable worldwide open beta for FOAMSTARS™, its brand-new foam party shooter exclusive to PlayStation, which will commence on September 29. Revealed during today’s State of Play broadcast, the “FOAMSTARS OPEN BETA PARTY” invites PlayStation 5 players to experience this over-the-top, chaotically foamy competitive shooter in advance of its official early 2024 release. Access to the beta is free and available to download from the PlayStation™ Store when live.

As a thank you to every player who takes part in the open beta, an exclusive cosmetic item for the character Soa will be given upon downloading the full game at launch.

Today’s news rounds off by revealing the in-game music is composed by MONACA, and character design is created by the illustrator team, Gurihiru.

MONACA is a music production company established in 2004 by Keiichi Okabe, which has extensive production experience in music for games, anime, drama, and film productions.  Highlights include the NieR series and SINoALICE. While Gurihiru is a freelance illustrator unit consisting of artist Sasaki and colorist Kawano. They hail from Hokkaido, Japan and have worked extensively in Japan, designing characters for games and anime, and illustrating for books. Major comic works include “It’s Jeff”, “Gwenpool”, “Superman Smashes the Klan” and more.

The wicked 4v4 prop haunt frenzy has new surprises in store, with entertainment during the van ride, a refined controller experience, and Steam Trading Cards! 

SKÖVDE, Sweden – September 15th, 2023 – Vaulted Sky Games and Coffee Stain, publisher of Valheim, Deep Rock Galactic and Satisfactory, are pleased to announce that the highly-acclaimed prop hunt game Midnight Ghost Hunt is receiving some game-changing new features in its new update! A retro-inspired mini-game has been added into the Hunters’ van ride before each match, plus full controller support and the introduction of Steam Trading Cards.

The van that ferries Hunters to their potential demise across a variety of ghoulish maps has received a major refurbishment. To entertain them and while away the minutes as they prepare to face a bevy of flying props and vengeful spirits, Hunters can play the ‘Ghost Invaders’ mini-game on the GhostMaster handheld gaming console. This top-down shooter is inspired by retro games of yore, and Hunters can even customize the in-van console with a swathe of unique console skins to choose from. 

For those who prefer analog sticks and buttons over a keyboard and mouse, full controller support has finally landed in the game! The developers have been hard at work refining specifics to provide a controller experience as smooth as possible, so players can sit back and ghoul out however they want to play. 

In addition, Steam Trading Cards are now available to appease the collectors out there. Players automatically collect virtual cards as they progress in-game, featuring artwork hailing from the world of Midnight Ghost Hunt. Full sets of cards can be turned into game badges, tradable Steam community items and so much more!

Midnight Ghost Hunt launched into Steam Early Access in March last year to huge acclaim, and recently hit over one million players after its launch this June on the Epic Games Store. This new update is the next step on the game’s exciting journey to full commercial release.
