In collaboration with Go On Board, CD PROJEKT RED announced today a new board game — The Witcher: Path of Destiny — set within The Witcher universe. Its crowdfunding campaign will begin on October 19th.

The Witcher: Path of Destiny, made by Go On Board, is a new board and card game based on the stories known and loved from Andrzej Sapkowski’s works. Players will take on the role of some of the greatest heroes of the Continent, including ones making a comeback from CD PROJEKT RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, like beloved Geralt, Ciri, or Yennefer. The game will also offer a chance to dive deep into an immersive dark fantasy story as well as complex, strategy-focused gameplay.

The game’s crowdfunding campaign is planned to kick off on Gamefound on October 19th, 2023 and finish on November 7th. You can already see the game’s production details and development plans on the campaign’s website. The game itself will be available in many language options: Polish, English, Czech, German, French, Spanish, and Italian.

The Witcher: Path of Destiny is another fruit of the collaboration between CD PROJEKT RED and Go On Board, following the critically acclaimed The Witcher: Old World. LOS ANGELES – Sept. 12, 2023 – A fight’s brewing in Hololasso County, so get that trigger finger ready for Cowboy 3030, the roguelite third-person shooter from Soy Boy Games, recruiting gunslingers on PC via Steam in Q1 2024, and later on consoles.

The nefarious Nebularos gang of robo-alien miscreants and tyrants have set foot in Hololasso County, enacting a reign of terror across the futuristic Wild West. Answer the local resistance’s call for aid to re-establish law and order in fast-paced shootouts inspired by bullet hells. Learn enemy patterns, avoid blue attacks, dodge through red attacks and acquire weapons and upgrades to become the ultimate techno-cowboy.

As privates like the Electro Lasso-swinging Calix and the Precision Rifle-brandishing Keri, bring henchman low and pilfer the Nebularos’ bases to scrounge up all the coins and blasters a plucky hero could need – scraps and all! Dust desperados one after another, and take on the gang’s leaders, infamous in their cruelties and casualty-counts, from the nefarious Blade Mistress to the Mechanical Bull and The Vulture.

Choose to save scurrying Hololasso locals as any above board cowboy would, and reap the benefits of good deeds. Receive extra health upgrades and discounts in local shops from the friendly Willa. However, for those choosing not to spare innocent civilians and become an outlaw themselves, the sly Silas stands by, ready to make risky deals of all sorts, like increasing base damage… at a cost.

Die and retry while unlocking a deadly arsenal of the likes of the AK4700, the M99, the Electric Bow, or trusty shotguns, rifles, and revolvers to bring into later runs in classic roguelite fashion. Choose from upgrades like the Big Bullet, perfect for a dramatic entry, or the Ghost Cowboy, letting those with quick feet slyly slip past certain types of attacks. Master the distinct playstyles of each character, each one providing a fresh experience, run after run.

Get up close and personal with Calix’s close-ranged revolver, make good use of the Electro Lasso ability to stay aggressive while hitting multiple targets, and stun incoming targets with a useful Flash Bang. Or, keep a distance from enemies and deal serious damage with Keri’s long-distance marksman rifle, shoot through the Electro Screen for more powerful shots, and aim for a strike with the Bowling Bomb, dealing even more damage at longer distances. Learn the ins and outs of each character’s loadout and distinct reloading style and get those bounties turned in!

The Press Pause fundraiser centres around the idea of pressing pause on life by pressing play in-game and will help Safe In Our World continue its valuable work in raising awareness, reducing stigma, and providing resources on mental health within the games industry. 

The fundraiser is now entering its second year and hopes to beat last year’s milestone of £10,000 in funds raised. The charity is inviting creators to raise money via challenges, streams, raffles, and more, with sponsor Elgato on hand to provide rewards for the first 20 fundraisers to reach £500 and promising to match whatever funds are raised for the charity up to the value of £10,000!
