Research into play and creativity
Bluey’s Happy Snaps’ unique approach to play is supported by research led by Professor Daniel Johnson of Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and The Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child. The research found that the game strongly supports children’s autonomy, competence and creativity through open-ended play and meaningful choice. These findings highlight the game’s focus on giving children the freedom to explore, make their own choices, and carry their curiosity beyond the screen.
