Psychological Adventure, UN:Me Heads to Gamescom 2026 with a New Gameplay Trailer & Playable Demo

Shueisha Games and historia invite players and media to step inside the mind of a girl whose soul tells a different story every time, a story where only one soul can remain.

COLOGNE, GERMANY – August 25, 2026 | Publisher Shueisha Games and developer historia Inc. today announced that UN:Me, their psychological horror adventure, will be showcased at Gamescom 2026 (August 26-30, Koelnmesse, Cologne) with a new gameplay trailer & a hands-on playable demo on the show floor. UN:Me is currently in development for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, with a release planned for 2026.

In UN:Me, a girl awakens inside an unsettling mental labyrinth with four human “souls” adrift within her, each dead, each with its own desires, each desperate and convinced that they are the real one. Any of them can seize control without warning, shifting not just her behaviour but the dangers she faces and the choices available to her. To escape, players must speak with each soul, confront the trauma that binds them, and face the question the game never lets you forget: Which soul will you erase so one can survive?

Only one can remain. The trouble is, every soul will say whatever it takes to remain.

A new UN:Me gameplay trailer will debut at Gamescom 2026 and will be available immediately afterward across Shueisha Games’ channels. The trailer offers an extended look at the labyrinth’s shifting environments, from an eerie hospital to an abandoned chapel, and shows the game’s signature mechanics in motion: souls seizing control mid-exploration, traumas warping the girl’s vision and senses, and the weight of choosing which self survives.

Playable Demo on the Show Floor

Attendees can experience UN:Me at Hall 10.2 E010G – D011G throughout the public days (August 26-30). The demo centers on a single unbroken sequence built around the game’s core loop:

  • Unpredictably Shifting Souls – the four souls take control regardless of the player’s intentions; each brings different skills, fears, and available actions, fostering a sense of “doubt” within the player when making a choice.
  • Traumas That Hunt You – the active soul’s wounds react during exploration, destabilising vision, senses, and movement.
  • Dialogue Mode – special items unlock direct conversation with individual souls, where memory fragments reveal different truths, cryptic hints, and reasons to doubt.
  • “Only One Can Remain” – players must weigh every conversation, every contradiction, and every gut feeling, knowing their choices are irreversible and the soul they are searching for may have already been lost.
