Pinball meets tower defense in Ragnarok Studios’ genre-defining debut, coming to PC in 2025
Oslo, Norway – 27th May, 2025 – Indie developer Ragnarok Studios and boutique publisher Mad Data Games are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of the teaser demo for Bumper Blitz TD, a genre-defying mashup of classic tower defense and gravity-based pinball mechanics. The demo will be available for free on Steam on May 26th, just in time for Steam Next Fest this June.
Bumper Blitz TD reimagines the tower defense formula, blending fast-paced strategy, physics-driven gameplay, and explosive pinball-style action. Players must place towers, harness gravity, and unleash bumpers to repel waves of alien invaders across a series of chaotic, ever-changing battlefields.
“It all started during a game jam with a crazy idea: what if tower defense had bumpers?” said Fredrik Kaupang, CEO and Lead Developer at Ragnarok Studios. “That spark turned into something wild and fun, and the feedback so far has been amazing.”
In the demo, players will get a first taste of:
- Innovative pinball-meets-strategy mechanics
- Varied enemy waves and dynamic level design
- Challenging gameplay modes, including Elite Mode
- A sneak peek at the unique upgrade system and tower combos coming in the full game
Bumper Blitz TD is slated for full release on PC (Steam) in Q3 2025. In the meantime, the team is actively engaging with players through its Discord server and welcomes feedback, questions, and streaming collaborations.
