Games Done Quick’s women and femmes winter event is raising funds for the National Women’s Law Center
March 6, 2025 — Games Done Quick’s women and femmes winter speedrunning event, Frost Fatales, returns March 9-16 on Twitch. Organized by GDQ’s Frame Fatales, a speedrunning community of women and femmes, this online event brings together speedrunners from all over the world to showcase their skills and raise money for the National Women’s Law Center, a non-profit that fights for gender justice working across the issues that are central to the lives of women and girls.
Some of Frost Fatales’ biggest highlights this year include:
- A “girl squad” 3-way race of Final Fantasy X-2 using all female characters
- Sonic X Shadow Generations as a bonus game
- A one-handed Celeste Any% closing run
Those are just a taste of what viewers can expect during the event, as well as plenty more runs of contemporary and retro games alike, like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, House Flipper 2, Mega Man, and The Legend of Zelda. The complete Frost Fatales schedule can be found here.
Frame Fatales events have raised over $1 million for charity since 2019. Last year’s Frost Fatales marathon raised $155,000 for the National Women’s Law Center. This past January, GDQ raised over $2.5 million during Awesome Games Done Quick for Prevent Cancer Foundation.

About the National Women’s Law Center
The National Women’s Law Center fights for gender justice—in the courts, in public policy, and in our society—working across the issues that are central to the lives of women and girls. We use the law in all its forms to change culture and drive solutions to the gender inequity that shapes our society and to break down the barriers that harm all of us—especially women of color, LGBTQ people, and low-income women and families. For more than 50 years, we have been on the leading edge of every major legal and policy victory for women.
