Fans can return to Who-ville this holiday season with four exclusive collectible postcards inspired by Dr. Seuss’ original artwork
SYDNEY (4th October 2024) – Outright Games, the leading global publisher of family-friendly interactive entertainment, and Dr. Seuss Enterprises, a leading global children’s entertainment company, are delighted to officially release the special physical update Holiday Edition of their 2023 hit video game The Grinch: Christmas Adventures. Each edition contains four collectible postcards to get fans into the festive spirit. This edition is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms from today.
Each postcard includes brand-new black and white pencil style artwork with splashes of red, all inspired by Dr. Seuss’ original How The Grinch Stole Christmas! drawings. Longtime fans will be able to recognise key iconic scenes from the original story, freshly depicted in these new beautiful collectibles, including:
- The moment the sneaky Grinch, disguised as Santa, tricks Cindy Lou Who into taking away her Christmas tree.
- The beginning of the scheme, as The Grinch ties antlers to his faithful dog Max.
- The Grinch concocting his plan to steal all the Whos presents, showcasing his signature shifty smile and bold red zigzags emphasising his deviously bright idea.
- A Who-ville home all decked out in Christmas cheer, from a glittering Christmas tree, a wreath, ball-balls and presents of all sizes. Looking closer, fans will see a familiar green Grinch reaching out from the chimney towards the stockings.
The Grinch: Christmas Adventures is a 2D platformer adventure game, where fans take on the role of the iconic Grinch and his dog Max in local 2-player couch co-op, as they travel across three scenic locations – The Grinch’s cave, the countryside and Who-ville – for their mission to ruin Christmas. Collect puzzle pieces to unlock new objects and abilities to aid the mission, including a Santa suit disguise, a snowboard and a lasso candy-cane.
The Grinch carries over 65 years of history; first published in 1957, the book was written and illustrated by Dr. Seuss and has evolved over the decades to remain an iconic Christmas tale. Through the books an entire universe has been created, offering The Grinch a global platform through film, musicals, celebrity collaborations, fashion, and more. The Grinch: Christmas Adventures is a modern iteration of the classic Christmas tale and the first video game adaptation of the story in 16 years. With up to 2-person couch co-op and playability features for younger players, the game offers a unique interactive way for modern families to experience the whimsical rhyming world of Dr. Seuss.
