Konami surprised many when they announced that they would be releasing a pair of remasters for their Suikoden series sometime this year in 2023 but it looks like that will no longer be the case. The company has announced that Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars will no longer be arriving in 2023 and has instead been pushed into 2024 or possibly even further, though they are still planning on releasing it on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
The company’s announcement states that the development team has “reached the conclusion that despite the very best efforts of our dedicated development staff to release the remasters in 2023, additional time is needed to ensure the quality performance and gameplay experience our users deserve” resulting in a delay for the game. Konami has stated that they will release further information when it becomes available.
