We have known that Sonic Frontiers would be a far different take on the blue blur’s usual adventures but now we have a small look at just what to expect when the game arrives sometime this holiday. This footage found below, coming from an exclusive at IGN, features seven minutes of gameplay showing off Sonic exploring a strange island that he has been stranded on at the beginning of the game.
Sonic travels through a number of areas including exploring the ruins of a tower, ruins featuring strange unknown creatures, and makes use of some signature gameplay elements both for traversal and combat as he also takes on a few enemies. Currently Sega‘s Sonic Frontiers is set to be released later this year for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
