Pirate Pop Plus Pulls into Port On Steam Today

Independent Developer Dadako and Indie Publisher 13AM Shipping Solutions Collaborate to Launch Retro Arcade Action Game

Toronto – November 4, 2016 – Relive the classic glory and difficulty of the 8-bit era with today’s Steam (PC) launch of retro arcade action game Pirate Pop Plus from independent developer Dadako and 13AM Shipping Solutions. Also available on New Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, Pirate Pop Plus places players in the boots of brave pirate Pete Jr. as they pop, shoot, and stomp bubbles while attempting to defeat the evil Bubble Pirate. In addition to being purchasable on Steam, Pirate Pop Plus is featured as the Humble Debut in the November Humble Monthly Bundle.

In Pirate Pop Plus, players must destroy bubbles to save the townsfolk. As if this weren’t difficult enough, the evil Bubble Pirate’s gravity gun forces them onto walls or the ceiling creating even more chaos. Buccaneers will earn coins that they can spend on customizations for their “Pocket Game” handheld console, including faceplates, stickers, backlights, and even music and characters for the game itself. Players can also spend coins on Hyper Mode, a faster, crazier and more difficult version of the core arcade game that rewards players with a multitude of coins.

“Since launching on Wii U and New Nintendo 3DS we’ve been overwhelmed by the positive feedback from gamers for Pirate Pop Plus’ chaotic retro gameplay,” said Hawken King, Founder of Dadako. “We think PC gamers will enjoy the game just as much as their Nintendo counterparts and Pirate Pop Plus is a perfect way to spend a quick break during the holiday season.”

In addition to chaotic gameplay, Pirate Pop Plus features artwork by Justin Chan, key artist for a bevy of video games such as Nuclear Throne, as well as music from Gyms, composer of Knuckle Sandwich, Dan Rodrigues, composer for the award-winning Runbow, and 8-bit composers Matthew Ivic and Harry Waters, son of Roger Waters from legendary rock group Pink Floyd. The game also features a guest character cameo from Runbow’s Satura.
