DONTNOD, the developers behind Life is Strange and Vampyr, have announced the renaming of the HeSaw indie games developer to DONTNOD Eleven. It seems like DONTNOD liked what they saw at the studio, as the name change would imply that DONTNOD has purchased HeSaw.

“We are very excited about the announcement of DONTNOD Eleven and its game: BATTLECREW Space Pirates. The goal of our collaboration is to help those talented independent developers and benefit from their know-how. They’ve been working on this game for about a year and we’re happy to help them achieve their goal of releasing this fun, exciting and innovative gaming experience,” said Oskar Guilbert, CEO of DONTNOD.

The first project coming out of the newly minted DONTNOD Eleven will be Battlecrew Space Pirates. The game will be a competitive multiplayer platforming shooter featuring a cast of four unique pirates. The game will launch with the traditional Team Deathmatch mode and Gold Rush, a mode that pits two teams against each other to collect the most amount of gold. DONTNOD Eleven will be implementing large community challenges that will reward the entire community with new characters, environments, and game modes on completion.

Battlecrew Space Pirates will launch on Steam Early Access very soon.
