New Alien: Isolation Developer Diary Talks Lo-Fi Sci-Fi

Alien-Isolation-debut- (3)

Alien: Isolation is a reboot of the Alien franchise. Developers The Creative Assembly are looking to revamp the title to be more in line with the classic 1979 sci-fi horror film directed by Ridley Scott. One of the biggest focuses is to replicate the film’s late 70’s vibe with lots of old school technology like CRT monitors. The developers behind Alien: Isolation went in front of the camera to talk about the “Lo-Fi Sci-Fi” art direction for the game.

Alien: Isolation is a first person survival horror game. It will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows on October 7th, 2014. Players take on the role of Amanda Ripley as she seeks the flight recorder of Nostromo as the un-killable Alien stalks her every move.
