The Lead Designer of Civilization IV Soren Johnson, Civilization V Art Director Dorian Newcomb, and Galactic Civilizations series designer Brad Wardell are teaming up to form a new independent games studio called Mohawk Games. The Baltimore, Maryland based studio is being financed by the Stardock Strategic Investment Fund. Mohawk Games is actively hiring at the moment.
Their first title runs on Oxide Games’ Nitrous engine and is only known as Mars currently. Soren Jonson posted his State of the Union address in Mohawk’s Games first blog post and pledged to provide strong mod support, early access programs, and to be involved with the community.
