505 Games Announce BlackWater for the Kinect…

505 Games have now came forward to reveal Blackwater, exclusively coming to the Xbox 360 Kinect. Blackwater is being boasted as “an immersive First Person eXperience”, produced by Pantierra and developed by Zombie Studios (Blacklight: Tango Down). Blackwater also gets it’s name from the former name of the private security company founded in 1997 by Erik Prince, a former Navy SEAL, to provide training support to military and law enforcement agencies.

What sets Blackwater apart from other modern combat shooters on the market is the way the game is actually controlled. Players can either take to their arsenal with the Xbox 360 controller or with the Kinect’s controller-free abilities, making the game even more immersive.

“The Blackwater team is comprised of an amazing group of individuals and we’re proud to work with them to create a video game that showcases their talent and courage,” said Ian Howe, President, 505 Games. “Being able to get the controller out of player’s hands with Kinect and have them on the ground and immersed in the experience will give them a glimpse of what it takes to be a member of an elite fighting force.”

As of right now, not much else has been announced for Blackwater aside from a release time window of “fall 2011”. By the sound of things though, this could be one FPS or “First Person eXperience” we will have to keep an eye on as 505’s line-up is displayed during E3.
