It certainly seems like U.S. gamers like the thought of their country being invaded the the North Koreans because according to THQ’s Vice President Danny Bilson has stated that Homefront is their best pre-ordered game ever. There have been over 200,000 pre-ordered copies of the game alone in the U.S. across the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3.
Danny Bilson revealed this news at GDC today to Eurogamer and apparently there could be bad news for the developers of Homefront, Kaos Studios. The studio may be dissolved after the release of Homefront and merged into the larger studios in Montreal and some staff may be fired. Apparently Bilson stated that the fate of the studio has ” a lot of it has to do with how successful it is and how strong that core team comes out on the other side.” Lets hope for the people at Kaos Stuidos that Homefront pulls in the numbers they need to avoid closure.
