Resident Evil Film Franchise Reboot Cast Announced

The Resident Evil film franchise reboot has been in the works for a few years now. Set in Racoon City in 1998, Director Johannes Roberts said the film will be an adaptation of the first and second Resident Evil games.

We finally have some more information about the film’s cast. Kaya Scodelario (Mazerunner) was rumoured to be playing Claire Redfield earlier this year, and the casting is now confirmed according to a recent Deadline report. Scodelario is the one of three actors that were linked to the film to actually be hired.

Robbie Amell (Upload) will take on the role of Claire’s brother, Chris Redfield. Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp) will play Jill Valentine. Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy) will be starring as the franchise’s iconic villain Albert Wesker. Leon S. Kennedy will be played by Avan Jogia (Zombieland: Double Tap), and Neal McDonough (Band of Brothers) will play William Birkin.
