SCUM unleashes The Horde, featuring an all-new tutorial system and the return of a fan-favourite vehicle 

Game-changing update features improved tutorials, new weapons and new attachments 

Cambridge, UK – 14 December 2023. Jagex and Gamepires today launched The Horde for multiplayer survival game SCUM. This update brings with it an improved tutorial system for new and returning players, new weapons and attachments, as well as a rework of the crafting system and the return of the fan favourite pickup truck. 

SCUM’s 0.95 update, The Horde, welcomes new players and introduces the Survival Codex, a new in-game database containing all the essential information a player will need to survive and thrive in the world of SCUM, from movement controls and survival skills, to base building and attributes. Alongside this, the update adds new Survival Tips, which will pop up periodically during gameplay to offer helpful information, based on the player’s current situation. Crafting has also been reworked to allow for a better user experience. 

The update brings with it an overhaul of the enemy spawning system, introducing new threat zones: low, medium, and high. High value loot can be found in High Threat Zones, along with more dangerous enemies, so players will have to weigh up the risk and reward when tackling these new threats. 

Players will be better equipped than ever following today’s update, with new weapons, and vehicles available. Long-term players will be delighted to see the popular Pickup truck, which is making its return in The Horde. Players can also heat things up with the new Improvised Flamethrower or hit hard with the modern SCAR-L. Those looking for a stealthier option will enjoy the new .45 ACP Suppressor for firearms using .45 ACP ammunition and the PU Scope adds range to the Mosin rifle. 

Last but not least, this update also brings performance optimizations and the implementation of the latest Nvidia DLSS version alongside Nvidia frame generation for the Nvidia 4xxx series.  

Also launching today are the Male Hair Deluxe DLC and the Dance Pack DLC. Whether players want to show off their moves on the dance floor or take a trip to the barber to get a new look, these two new DLCs have you covered. Each DLC is available on Steam today for $6.99/£5.89/€6.89. 

SCUM is a multiplayer open world survival game that offers unprecedented levels of character customisation, control and progression, where knowledge and skills are the ultimate weapons for long-term survival. Cookie Cutter is set against the backdrop of the Megastructure, a huge, dystopian planet ruled by INFONET, a mega-corporation led by the deranged Garbanzos family. Centuries ago, INFONET promised a utopia built on the backs of androids called Denzels. That was a lie. Over the course of 200 years, the corp has drilled into the Megastructure in pursuit of a fraction of its energy source called the Red Seed, which is used to further power its precious Golden City.

As INFONET continues its tradition of screwing the planet over, one of its engineers, Doctor Shinji Fallon, uses the Denzel program to create Cherry as a companion. But Cherry isn’t like the other Denzels. She and Shinji quickly fall in love.

The romance doesn’t last long. After the current INFONET leader, Salem Garbanzos, accuses Shinji of stealing the Red Seed, he kidnaps the engineer and orders his literal Dickhead minions to clobber Cherry to pieces.

X8 is a thrilling 5v5 shooter game where a diverse cast of heroes from different FPS franchises meet and battle against each other in interactive, competitive rounds. Each hero has access to three special abilities and their hero-specific items offer situational advantages. Players can use funds to purchase an extensive loadout of weapons, armor, and items to equip their heroes with during each round. The objective is to deploy a ‘Syphon’ at specific sites on the map during an attack or deactivate it within 30 seconds using ‘The Defuser’ during defense. While publisher and developer GIANTS Software continues to cultivate the ever-growing popularity of its internationally awarded Farming Simulator series, dedicated fans may already save the date and get their tickets for the upcoming annual community event.

FarmCon 24 takes place on the weekend of July 6th & 7th 2024, on the premises of the German, internationally renowned agricultural big player and long-term series partner Fendt. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.

Celebrating Farming Simulator at the Fendt Forum

Farming enthusiasts, talented modders, and popular content creators will connect and celebrate Farming Simulator at the Fendt Forum in the Bavarian town Marktoberdorf – where Fendt positions itself for the future trends of the agricultural industry and all their tractors are developed, produced and marketed.

In addition to the on-stage program by GIANTS Software, the location allows for special activities for young and old.

The Battle of Mistmerrow returns alongside a vast array of game-wide improvements

Kakao Games, Amsterdam — December 14, 2023 | Rounding out another spectacular year of ArcheAge, Kakao Games and XLGAMES plan to add even more content and features as the ground-breaking MMORPG prepares for 2024! 

Fans of ArcheAge’s Faction War are in for a festive treat with The Battle of Mistmerrow making its eagerly anticipated return as part of the December update. Get ready to storm this classic PvP instance as Nuia and Haranya factions compete to destroy Mistmerrow’s Bloodspires, while a third team of Pirates attempts to rebuild them. Joining the action will earn you Honor Points, Improved Infusion Supply Kits, and Mistmerrow Warrior Tokens.

For those who prefer PvE, this latest ArcheAge update has plenty for you, too! World bosses will now appear twice a day, spawning in one of eight locations found within Nuia and Haranya conflict zones.

After conquering one of these mighty behemoths, players will have a chance of encountering Roaring Astor, a ravaging new mythic-grade raid boss. Those who manage to survive its onslaught of devastating fire and lightning can earn themselves top tier loot including Locked Gold Crates, Lucid World Boss Infusions, and Unstable Erenor Infusions.

ArcheAge players can also expect a wealth of game-wide improvements aimed at helping them grow their character more efficiently, exploring the depth of locations and activities ArcheAge has to offer. One way this is being improved is by making Erenor Equipment easier to acquire and upgrade, with XLGAMES preparing to share more details when the December update goes live.

In celebration of the merge, ArcheAge will be hosting an in-game event until January 11 where players have an opportunity to bag some of the best rewards they’ve ever seen, including Mythic Grade Immortal Warden Equipment. What’s more, those who tune in on Twitch from December 14 to January 11 will have a chance to win a variety of useful items in ArcheAge’s latest Twitch Drops, including Angel Wing Elixirs, Bound Labor Rechargers and even a special festive-themed decoration.
