Bandai Namco Europe and world-renowned Advertising agency BETC worked together to produce “Get Ready for the Next Battle”, a brand-new live-action trailer for TEKKEN 8.

This spectacular trailer showcases how the thrill of a fight can gather people of all ages, nationalities, backgrounds, both newcomers and professional players with a viral effect. The same way TEKKEN has been bringing players together for 30 years now, with the desire to compete, fight and have fun.

The campaign will be featured on various social media platforms, as well as TV, Cinema, Display out of Home and more.

SQUARE ENIX TO LAUNCH FOAMSTARS – 4V4 FOAM PARTY SHOOTER – FEBRUARY 6 ON PLAYSTATION PLUS

All PlayStation Plus Members Can Redeem, Download, and Play at No Extra Cost from February 6 to March 4, 2024.

FOAMSTARS to Introduce Free Updates Over the Span of One Year withOptional Premium Season Pass also Available. More revealed on Modes, Foamstar and Squad Missions, and Challenges

SYDNEY (January 17, 2024)  SQUARE ENIX® has announced that FOAMSTARS™, its new online 4v4 foam party shooter exclusively for PlayStation®5 (PS5®) and PlayStation®4 (PS4®), will launch globally on February 6, 2024. To bring the foam party to as many players as possible, FOAMSTARS is included in the PlayStation® Plus monthly game line-up from launch to March 4, 2024, giving all subscribers the chance to redeem, download, and play at no extra cost. Players who redeem during this period will keep the game in their PlayStation Plus library and be able to continue to play for as long as they have an ongoing subscription. Beginning on March 5, 2024, FOAMSTARS will be available for purchase via the PlayStation® Store and requires a PlayStation Plus subscription.

FOAMSTARS will receive free themed seasonal updates over the span of one year. Seasons present players with an array of new experiences, including cosmetics, playable characters, maps, and game modes. Each season will come with an optional Premium Season Pass for an additional fee. Those who purchase the Premium Season Pass will immediately unlock Season Pass characters and can earn additional season-specific cosmetics.  

Three PvP multiplayer gameplay modes will be available at launch, including Smash the Star, Happy Bath Survival, and the newly revealed Rubber Duck Party. Each mode has three maps expertly designed to intensify the gameplay experience and deliver original, fun, and strategic experiences with every match. As an added challenge, maps are randomized for matchmaking to keep everyone on their toes.

In addition, Foamstar and Squad Missions introduce solo and team based PvE experiences, where players are tasked with protecting Bath Vegas from a series of randomized encounters. Missions give players the opportunity to learn about the FOAMSTARS athletes, hone skills, and play with friends, helping everyone to feel prepped and ready to foam in the competitive PvP matches.

Lastly, FOAMSTARS will contain numerous in-game Challenges that yield exciting rewards, such as a new playable character, or hefty experience bonuses for Season Pass progress, to those who complete the varied in-game foamy tasks.

About FOAMSTARS:

FOAMSTARS is a vibrant, over-the-top shooter, that is accessible to players of all skill levels. It combines the fun of partying with the thrill of combat where players blast through matches using foam to attack, build and defend. Taking control of a quirky and colorful ensemble of athletes, players are dropped into the eccentric city of Bath Vegas to compete in FOAMSMASH. Created as a casual yet competitive experience for everyone, FOAMSTARS features a combination of PvP and PvE modes for up to eight players, either as four vs. four, solo, or co-op as a Squad with three teammates.

Each Season Pass challenges players to progress through tiers which is achieved by earning XP from PvP battling, completing Missions, or completing Challenges. With each tier unlocked, players are rewarded with items to enhance the FOAMSTARS experience. All players will get access to new characters, modes, and maps, to ensure they are always part of the FOAMSTARS’ party. Those who purchase the Premium Season Pass will immediately unlock Season Pass characters, as well as earn additional season-specific cosmetics.

At launch there will be three PvP game modes, Foamstar and Squad PvE Missions, and a range of Anytime, Limited-Time, and Weekly Challenges. Six characters are immediately available. Mel T is unlockable as a season pass achievement, while The Baristador is unlockable as an Anytime Challenge reward. Every character will have extensive customization options, from Character Skins to Digital Stickers, to Slide Boards and Foam Gun Skins. Players can even decorate the lobby with furnishings to reflect their FOAMSTARS style.

The new game mode unveiled today, Rubber Duck Party, is a foam party like no other. Teams must race to the center of the stage and fight for possession of the rubber duck. Climbing aboard will advance the duck towards the opposition’s goal to win the match. Additionally, players can dance on top of the rubber duck for a burst of movement.

Foamstar and Squad Missions are solo and co-op PvE gameplay modes where players must protect Bath Vegas from an onslaught of Bubble Beasties in a series of randomized wave attacks. In Squad Missions, players will be able to strengthen the FOAMSTARS through upgrades received upon clearing a wave. Additionally, players can clear challenges and gain additional experience to progress faster through the Season Pass by playing Missions.

Food Truck Simulator makes its debut on Xbox consoles, Mr. Prepper receives farming DLC

Food Truck Simulator, a unique game from the creators of the bestselling Gas Station Simulator, is now available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. This game allows players to embark on a career in the mobile food business. Additionally, a new expansion for the survival game Mr. Prepper is now available on Xbox consoles. The Animal Farm DLC introduces a new storyline and fresh gameplay opportunities. The new expansion for the survival game Mr. Prepper is now available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Launched on January 11th, the Animal Farm DLC introduces a new storyline with unique locations, various farming activities, and a mystery to unravel. Mr. Prepper is also available on PC, as well as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch consoles.

Developed by the Polish studio Rejected Games, Mr. Prepper is a survival game with elements of crafting and adventure. The main theme revolves around building an underground shelter to survive a nuclear apocalypse. The game stands out with its stylish graphics and dystopian atmosphere.

The Animal Farm DLC expands the story, featuring surveillance, mysterious abductions, and mind control elements. Players are tasked by the Agency to restore the enigmatic Murricaville farm to its proper state while seeking the truth. This expansion brings new options for animal husbandry, plant product harvesting, and fishing.

The release date for the Animal Farm DLC on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S was set for January 11th. As announced by Ultimate Games S.A., the Animal Farm DLC is also slated for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch consoles in the first quarter of 2024.

Exoprimal Season 3 Summons Monster Hunter Collaboration, New Bosses, Suit Variants, and More This Week

London (January 16, 2024) Suit up, Exofighters! This week, Capcom welcomes the arrival of Exoprimal™ Season 3. On Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, the team-based action game will deploy its biggest update yet, including the highly anticipated Monster Hunter™ collab, new Beta variant Exosuits, a Neo Triceratops boss battle, the Jungle map, new gear, fresh seasonal events, and more.

Exoprimal x Monster Hunter Collaboration

This week, monster tracks will begin appearing in Dino Survival matches. After collecting a number of tracks, players will trigger a special Monster Hunter mission. In this scenario, Exofighters will take on Rathalos, the iconic fire-breathing wyvern known as the “King of the Skies,” and hordes of Velociprey in a co-op boss fight alongside a hunting party of 10 players.1

The crossover also features special cosmetic sets inspired by the monsters and hunter armor from Monster Hunter.2 Exofighters can suit up in a Rathalos armor skin for Murasame, a Kirin armor skin for Skywave, a Nergigante armor skin for Barrage, and a Rajang monster skin for Roadblock. These cosmetic sets also include a variety of Monster Hunter-themed emotes, charms, decals, and Comm Wheel stamps.

Neo Triceratops Boss Fight

Rathalos isn’t the only boss fight debuting in Exoprimal Season 3. A Neo Triceratops is also being summoned to the wargames for another exciting 10-player co-op battle! This massive creature has grown and mutated to gain unnatural strength. It can strike foes from a distance by shooting out spikes and has the power to enlarge its horns when charging into melee. Exofighters will need to work together under a respawn limit to overcome this fearsome new opponent.

New Beta Variant Exosuits

Exofighters will also have a collection of new Beta variant Exosuits to equip in Season 3. These Beta variants each possess unique weaponry and playstyles that set them apart from the standard Exosuit models and Alpha variants.

  • Deadeye Beta: Energy MG – This model is equipped with an energy machine gun that can continue firing suppressive fire without reloading so long as it doesn’t overheat.  
  • Barrage Beta: Fire Spray – This variant’s flamethrower annihilates enemies at range with a devastating inferno.
  • Roadblock Beta: Counter Shield – This suit’s shield absorbs damage and unleashes it as a powerful ranged counterattack.
  • Skywave Beta: Lifeline – Healing allies enables this suit to acquire energy that can be used to form protective barriers that can safeguard the team from damage.

A range of new rigs and modules will also be available, providing even more customizability in combat.

Welcome to the Jungle

The Jungle is a new map for the wargames. This tropical forest deep within Bikitoa Island features dense terrain. Exofighters are encouraged to consider using gear suited for close quarters and mid-range combat. Data indicates that leaping over obstacles to deliver surprise attacks on unsuspecting enemies is also highly effective!

New Limited Time Events

  • Lunar New Year Campaign – Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024 – Monday, Feb. 12, 2024
  • Exofighters can ring in the new year by unlocking a Lion Dance hat skin for all 10 original Exosuits.
  • Chocolate Campaign – Tuesday, Feb 13, 2024 – Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024
  • Exofighters can unlock a Chocolate Exosuit skin for all 10 original models to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
  • Double XP Campaign – Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024 – Monday, Jan. 22, 2024
  • Additional Double XP Campaigns will be held at later dates.

Exoprimal Season 4 is planned for release in April 2024 and will include:

  • “Time Loop Rebellion” – A new 10-player co-op challenge mode
  • A “Custom Match” mode that allows Exofighters to send invites to friends playing on other platforms, enjoy the story together, and choose their favorite match settings
  • Additional Beta variant Exosuits
  • A third Capcom collaboration
  • New rigs, modules, and more

Unicorn Overlord Pre-orders Now Live + New Trailer Highlights Exploration

Sydney, Australia – 16th January 2023: ATLUS and Vanillaware shared a new trailer for their upcoming tactical RPG Unicorn Overlord that showcases multiple key gameplay elements, including field exploration, quests and town reconstruction and liberation. Additionally, pre-orders for Unicorn Overlord are now live.

In the trailer, the knight Josef instructs the game’s protagonist, Alain, on what is necessary to save the world from the domination of the Empire. Alain learns about the vast continent of Fevrith, the challenging quests he will encounter and how to liberate towns to their former glory. 

Players who pre-order Unicorn Overlord will receive the ATLUS X Vanillaware Heraldy Pack, a DLC set that lets players customize the Liberation Army’s Flag with emblem designs from Odin Sphere, Dragon’s Crown, and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.
