The third-person terrifying adventure inspired by Indonesian folklore and urban legend is finally making its way to the Switch

A popular franchise in Indonesia since the first DreadOut release in 2014, Nintendo Switch owners will finally get their hands on the latest entry in the series that was originally released in 2020 –  the game deemed too scary for Western audiences. Play as Linda, a high school student with a supernatural power – the ability to sense and see ghosts.

Using this power, Linda must hunt the nightmarish spirits and dark forces that threaten not only her hometown but all of mankind. This spine-chilling sequel expands on the cult hit original with all-new melee combat and a greater emphasis on puzzles and exploration, with the ability to use Linda’s smartphone as a weapon against the evil entities setting DreadOut 2 apart from other horror releases.

It follows Dalila Reyes, a special agent in the Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search (H.A.D.E.S.) unit as she investigates a sprawling, sinister military research facility buried deep underground. Dalila’s goal is uncovering the truth behind the horrors in the labyrinthine facility, if she can survive long enough to complete her mission. LOS ANGELES – January 3, 2024 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality mobile games, has released a new game update for its collectible card game RPG, Tower of God: New World. Players can experience a variety of content including a new teammate, Tower of Alliances game mode and several in-game events.

The newly added teammate, SSR Verdi (Purple element, Ranged, Anima), is a member of Team Shibisu who is also known as ‘Dollmaker.’ She has the unfortunate ability to turn any attractive people she meets into her living dolls. Those who underestimate her due to her small size will be stunned and blinded by the octopus doll she summons.

As part of this new game update, the Tower of Alliance game mode is now available where the player’s Alliance will be matched against another random Alliance of the same rank. Players can unleash each Alliance member’s characters to the floors of the Tower of Alliances, and once dispatched, they can conquer the opposing Alliance’s Tower starting from the ground floor. The winning Alliance will be determined by the total number of occupied floors. Additional new content featured in this update includes the ‘Verdi’s Hobbies’ side story and winter costumes for Verdi.

Players can participate in the following in -game events for a limited-time:

• Happy New Year Check-in Event (Jan. 3 – Jan. 18): To celebrate the new year, players who check-in the game for 14-days can earn many rewards including Normal Summon Tickets (x30), Suspendium (x3,000) and more.
• New Year Bingo Event (Jan. 3 – Jan. 18): Obtain SSR Verdi by playing the game for 14 days.
• Formation Strategy Lesson Event (Jan. 10 – Jan. 24): Players can select one out of three formations (Balanced, Guard or Wedge) and enter up to six times a day. Exchange earned tokens from the event for various rewards including SSR characters (i.e. Yeon Yihwa, Bam, etc.), Equipment enhancement material and more.

In Tower of God: New World, players can take control of fan-favorite characters to ascend the Tower. Join Twenty-Fifth Bam – and more than 70 characters – as he fights his way through the Tower in gorgeous 3D animation that will make players feel like they have stepped into an anime world. Players will experience fast-paced battle mechanics while utilizing a unique Slot System that powers up a particular “slot” instead of a specific character.
