TARGET ACQUIRED, STANDBY FOR CONTACT. CLASSIFIED: FRANCE ’44 DEPLOYS ON PC AND CONSOLES ON 5TH MARCH

Absolutely Games’ upcoming WWII strategy title heads to PC, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S later this year, with preorders live today.

Tuesday, 6th January 2024 – Absolutely Games and Team17 Digital have today announced that the standard and deluxe editions of Classified: France ‘44, the WWII-based strategy epic coming to PC, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S, will launch on 5th March. An Overlord edition will also be available across all platforms, allowing players to jump into battle 5 days early on 29th February.

Arming players for victory, the Deluxe and Overlord editions of Classified: France ’44 come fully equipped for war. Available to preorder for £39.99/$39.99/€39.99, the Deluxe edition includes the base game and the first DLC, while the Overlord Edition, available to preorder for £49.99/$49.99/€49.99, includes the base game and the full season pass1, granting players access to all four upcoming DLC’s. The standard edition is available to preorder for £34.99/$34.99/€34.99.

Preorders for all three editions of Classified: France ’44 are now live and will grant players access to the Resistance Pack at launch, with the content varying slightly depending on the platform. Preorders on Steam will be granted access to the “Shadow” and “Ghost” sets, PlayStation 5 will receive the “Blue” and “Cobalt” sets, and Xbox Series X|S will get the “Green” and “Forest” sets.

Classified: France ‘44 is an original take on turn-based tactics that authentically captures the challenges of World War II firefights. Cyberpunk 2077 Follow-up, codenamed Project Orion, grows in strength at CD PROJEKT RED North America

CD PROJEKT RED has announced several high-profile additions to the team working on Project Orion — the anticipated follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 being headed up by the US and Canada-based CD PROJEKT RED North America.

Project Orion is currently in the early stages of development, with studio veterans previously involved in Cyberpunk 2077 and its spy-thriller Phantom Liberty expansion spearheading the project, including Gabriel Amatangelo (Game Director), Paweł Sasko (Associate Game Director), Igor Sarzyński (Creative Director), Andrzej Stopa (Cinematic Director), Kacper Niepokólczycki (Environment Art Director), Sarah Grümmer (Acting Lead Quest Designer) and Kacper Kościeński (Engineering Director). This group is now part of a larger team based in the newly created CDPR studio in Boston, Massachusetts.

Joining them at this location are industry professionals with years of experience and a variety of well-known and impressive AAA projects:

  • Dan Hernberg is joining the team as Executive Producer. Dan has previously worked as Head of Production at Amazon Games, Head of Production and Product Management at Panic Button, and Lead Product Manager at Blizzard Entertainment — and contributed to such titles as New World, Apex Legends, and Diablo III, among others.
  • Ryan Barnard’s past credits include Game Director at Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft, as well as Gameplay Director at Hitman developer IO Interactive. He will be contributing his skillset as Design Director.
  • Alan Villani is entering the Project Orion team as Engineering Director, having previously lent his technical expertise as VP of Technology on various WB Game products, including technical direction on several Mortal Kombat titles.

  • Alexander Freed will further bolster the writing for Project Orion. YU-GI-OH! EARLY DAYS COLLECTION is coming to Nintendo Switch

The Collection will inlcude titles previously only released in Japan

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. (KONAMI) is delighted to announce a new Yu-Gi-Oh! digital title is in development, and it’s sure to excite nostalgic Duelists across the world. Duel back in time with the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection

Revealed at the “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: The Legend of Duelist QUARTER CENTURY” special event in Tokyo, Japan, Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection is a new digital title in development, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game.

Coming to the Nintendo Switch™, Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection brings together the earliest Yu-Gi-Oh! games ever released. The collection will include titles that weren’t previously released in the West.

Two titles have already been confirmed: 2000’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelists for the Game Boy Colour – a title that was previously released only in Japan, and 2001’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2 for the Game Boy Advance. More details will be announced in the future, so please stay tuned.

PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for February: Day 1 Release Foamstars, Rollerdrome, Steelrising

Today, PlayStation Australia is happy to announce the latest, full Monthly Games lineup for PlayStation Plus. February’s selection is headlined by Day 1 release, Square Enix’s competitive yet ultra-colorful online party shooter Foamstars, which makes its debut exclusively on PlayStation Plus. Joining it is a potent mix of skates and gunplay with the highly stylish Rollerdrome, while Steelrising brings player automaton-powered RPG action. All three are available to PlayStation Plus members from this evening until Monday, March 4. Let’s take a closer look at each game. 

Foamstars | PS4, PS5 (Day 1 Release)

Introducing Foamstars, the new 4v4 online party shooter. Use foam to build terrain, creating slippery surfaces to surf around the arena at high speed, help defend from enemy attacks, or create vantage points to take out opponents from. Rollerdrome | PS4, PS5 

From the critically acclaimed studio, Roll7, comes a high octane third-person shooter experience like no other. In the brutal bloodsport, Rollerdrome, gear up for visceral combat with fluid motion set in an evocative retrofuture. Dominate with style in this intense shooter-skater hybrid, where kills grant health and nailing tricks provides players with ammunition. Will you have what it takes to become the next Rollerdrome Champion?

Steelrising | PS5 

This action RPG is set in an alternate history Paris in which the French Revolution has been suppressed by a robotic army. Fight and explore through the streets, rooftops, neighbourhoods and castles as Aegis, a mysterious automaton masterpiece. Engage in ruthless and intense fights against technological marvels that are as complex as they are unforgiving.

As a PlayStation Plus Deluxe member players will have access to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 with a 2 hour time-limited trial starting February 6. Trophies and save progress from this trial will carry over if players decide to purchase the full game.
