LOS ANGELES, March 21, 2024 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality mobile games, has launched a new update for SEVEN KNIGHTS IDLE ADVENTURE. Players can experience new heroes, various events and new challenges.

The Four Lords of Old Kyle is now available as a playable character. He is a melee hero whose Shackled Grave skill allows him to have stealth and quickly approach his target to deal massive damage. The affected enemy receives a Bind debuff, while Kyle is granted the Night Stalker buff that increases his critical hit and attack speed. When Kyle lands three consecutive critical hits in a row, he can use the Chain Effect which deals damage to enemies in an area around him, that removes all buffs applied, and gives a Stun debuff to targets.

A new battle pass system, Terra Magazine, has been added as a part of this update. This system is updated every 14 days and consists of Normal and Premium Passes. Players can purchase the Premium Pass and will be active for the entire 14 day period. Rewards can be obtained by completing a set of missions and achieving goals, including Fina’s Gift. This powerful item can be used to advance some of Legendary heroes that gives players a powerful boost to their team lineups.  

Players can also experience brand-new content including Legendary hero Mulan, the introduction of stages 12,001 to 12,800 and Return of the Blossoming Blade Challenger Pass (Hard) Tier. Karl Heron Challenge Pass is also available through April 3^rd, including new challenger pass dungeons, which reward Karl Heron upon completion.

The special Seven Knights 10^th Anniversary Carnival Event is also available for a limited-time until April 3^rd. Players can obtain the Seven Knights Hero Selection Ticket, Guardian Pooki, Hero Summon Tickets and Pet Summon Tickets.

SAN FRANCISCO – March 21, 2024 – The International Game Developers Association Foundation (IGDA-F) proudly announces the recipients of the prestigious Gerald Lawson and Eric Dybsand awards, being presented during the 2024 Game Developers Conference (GDC). 

The Gerald Lawson Award for Achievement in Game Development acknowledges the accomplishments of individuals from underrepresented minorities in the game development community. This year’s recipient, Xalavier Nelson Jr., a BAFTA-nominated studio head, narrative director, and Forbes 30 under 30 luminary, has made significant contributions to the industry through his diverse portfolio of credits, including Stranger Things VR, Magic: The Gathering, and El Paso, Elsewhere.

Upon receiving the award, Xalavier Nelson Jr. expressed his appreciation, saying, “I am immensely honored to be recognized with the Gerald Lawson award, and can only begin to express my gratitude towards those who have uplifted and empowered my voice to make this impact. If my story is emblematic of anything, I believe it to be the grace of God and the necessity for black leadership in video games. When we enable black directors and leads to fully enhance the projects they are attached to with the power of their nuanced creative perspective, everyone wins.”

Gerald Lawson pioneered the Fairchild Channel F, the first home video game system with interchangeable games.  His daughter Karen Lawson conveyed her appreciation for the IGDA Foundation continuing to honor her father’s contribution. She stated, “Our family is deeply moved by the IGDA Foundation’s commitment to recognizing the groundbreaking work of my father. This award not only celebrates his legacy but also emphasizes the importance of expanding the space in the game development community to include faces and voices that may not otherwise be seen or heard.”

The Eric Dybsand Award, named in memory of one of the “original AI guys” at GDC, is presented to one aspiring developer demonstrating excellence in the field of artificial intelligence. This year’s recipient, Alireza Seddighi, a PhD in Software Systems Engineering and an AI-infused game developer, has demonstrated a remarkable ability to solve complex problems in game development using innovative AI approaches. His projects have been lauded for their effectiveness, groundbreaking nature, and transformative impact on the industry. In addition, he was a lecturer in AI and Game development courses at numerous universities.

In recognition of his achievements, Alireza Seddighi shared his excitement, stating, “Receiving the Eric Dybsand Award is a tremendous honor. It fuels my passion for exploring the limitless possibilities of AI in game development and motivates me to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation.”

In 2024, the IGDA Foundation brought back its in-person GDC programming for the first time since 2019. This program was first established in 2007 and gives individuals from underrepresented communities around the globe a chance to attend GDC, learn more about the industry, and connect with experienced mentors face-to-face.

• Dungeon Fighter Online’s Ninth Anniversary Diary – Players who complete daily tasks and weekly missions can unlock exclusive rewards such as a +13 Weapon Reinforcement Ticket, given out for the first time ever. Additional rewards include a Rare Clone Avatar Set Box, Platinum Emblem Selection Box, Seon Magic Bead (Shoes) Selection Box and more.
• Level-Up, Power-Up to Seon! Event – Players can choose one character from all advancements and one character form the Male Slayer advancements to enter a Fast-Leveling Mode to receive valuable rewards as they quickly level up.
• Starlight – A Starry Night Vol. II and Custom Hunting in Seon! – All adventurers are eligible to participate in a thrilling minigame to obtain materials for rewards. Additionally, players have a chance to secure the final and best equipment in the game, but only for a limited time during the Custom Hunting event.

Along with the ninth anniversary events and rewards, veteran players can test their skills in the new Legion Dungeon, “Dusky Island.” The third legion dungeon of Dungeon Fighter Online, “Dusky Island” is the most difficult and challenging dungeon in the game. Clearing it will give valuable materials that will allow users to upgrade their Accessories and Special Equipment gear further.
