Fans can preorder now, with Gold and Ultimate Edition purchasers enjoying the first-ever open world Star Wars game up to three days early.

Sydney, Australia – April 10, 2024 – Today, Ubisoft, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, announced that Star Wars Outlaws, the first open-world Star Wars game, will launch on August 30 on Xbox Series X|S consoles, PlayStation 5 and PC through Ubisoft Connect. Fans who subscribe to Ubisoft+ or purchase the Gold Edition or Ultimate Edition of the game can enjoy up to three days early access*, and those who preorder before August 30 will receive the “Kessel Runner Bonus Pack” which includes cosmetics for Kay’s speeder and for her ship, the Trailblazer

Ubisoft revealed more details about cunning scoundrel Kay Vess and her companion Nix’s search for an opportunity of a lifetime. During this era, the Empire’s rule is distracted by the rebellion that won’t quit, leading to a golden age for the underworld. As a skilled thief, Kay’s antics catch the attention of Sliro, the leader of a new, foreboding criminal syndicate Zerek Besh. After Sliro places a bounty on Kay’s head, Kay and Nix are offered their one shot at freedom: pull off one of the greatest heists of all time. Kay and Nix will need to navigate the underworld across the galaxy, building their reputation with legendary criminal organizations including the Pyke Syndicate, the Hutt Cartel, the Ashiga Clan** and Crimson Dawn to earn the support they need to finish the job.

“In search of true freedom, the resourceful Kay and Nix will journey through the underworld and across the Outer Rim, taking on jobs from syndicates, facing off against intimidating foes, avoiding oppressive Imperial rule and recruiting a skilled outlaw crew in order to pull off one of the greatest heists the galaxy has ever seen,” shared Julian Gerighty, Creative Director.

“Star Wars Outlaws invites fans to experience a side of the galaxy that has a treasure trove yet to be explored, the exploits of the scoundrels taking advantage of the golden age of the underworld. We’ve been inspired by Massive Entertainment’s dedication to bringing this aspect of Star Wars to life, including both iconic and new things for fans to explore in an open world,” said Douglas Reilly, vice president, Lucasfilm Games.

Kay and Nix will travel across the galaxy to gain the right resources and crew for the ultimate heist. In their journey, they’ll travel across distinct locations, both iconic and new: Canto Bight, Kijimi, Tatooine, Akiva, and the windswept savannah of Toshara**. Along the way, Kay will explore bustling cities and cantinas, race across sprawling outdoor landscapes on her speeder, and pilot her ship the Trailblazer through the wilds of space. When things go awry, the Trailblazer will also help them chase, evade and attack to gain the upper hand in thrilling dogfights with the Empire and other foes.

Star Wars Outlaws will be available through the Ubisoft Store and at retail at a suggested price of AUD$109.95 for the base game. By subscribing to Ubisoft+ or purchasing the Gold or Ultimate Edition, players can also access the game up to three days early*.

About Star Wars Outlaws

With development led by Massive Entertainment*, Star Wars Outlaws will invite players to experience the Star Wars galaxy like never before through an original story set between Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back™ and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™. As the Galactic Empire relentlessly pursues the final defeat of the Rebel Alliance, the criminal underworld thrives. Fans will play as cunning scoundrel, Kay Vess and her loyal companion Nix, as they attempt one of the greatest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen. Seeking the means to start a new life, players will join Kay and Nix as they fight, steal, and outwit their way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates and join the galaxy’s most wanted.

Kay and Nix can turn any situation to their advantage: use stealth and gadgets to gain the upper hand, use Nix to distract and draw away enemies, or engage in blaster combat in tense situations throughout their journey. In order to pull off the ultimate heist, Kay and Nix will search for and join forces with a cast of outlaws, including battle-hardened droid ND-5. While stealing valuable goods, infiltrating secret locations, and outwitting enemies, they will need to carefully consider how their choices affect their status with each syndicate, as each move will influence Kay’s ever-changing reputation.

Since its global launch last October, Reverse: 1999 has been downloaded by over 19.99 million players worldwide and remains on top of both the App Store and Google Play charts. The game is also available to play on PC via the official website.

View Reverse: 1999’s new Version 1.5 trailer below:

Version 1.5 will introduce four new playable arcanists including rising boxing star Spathodea. After the young contender discovers in a past life, she was the first priest of the Uluru – the only sports stadium built for arcanists – she embarks on a mission to revive the ancient games with help from the Timekeeper Vertin and her friend Desert Flannel.

“I don’t think any arcanist would say no to witnessing the revival of the once magnificent games,” says Vertin.

The fifth free update will also introduce new events, garments, a wilderness pack, a UTTU Flash Gathering, and more. That’s enough content to make anyone exclaim “crikey!”

Click to view Reverse: 1999’s new Spathodea character trailer below:

Reverse: 1999 is set in an alternate history where the flow of time rewinds itself due to the mysterious “Storm.” Become the Timekeeper and recruit a team of arcanists – those born with eccentric, powerful abilities – from different countries and eras to confront the rebellious Manus Vindictae and restore the natural order of the universe.

Breathtaking cinematics, jaw-dropping Ultimates, consistent new content, and full English acting comprising a unique array of dialects and accents prove Reverse: 1999 is a cut above other anime-stylized RPG games available on mobile devices and PC.

Firestoke Announces Publishing Partnership With Dysfunctional Developer For It’s Only Money

Fight back from the bottom to take down corporations controlled by the mayor of Rockhaven in 3rd person open world simulation

Edinburgh, Scotland – April  9th, 2024 – Firestoke are pleased and also slightly concerned to announce that they’ve entered into a partnership with developer Usual Suspects to publish their outrageously fun 3rd person open world simulation, It’s Only Money. Despite barely being able to tie their own shoelaces, these clowns have somehow managed to make a ruthlessly compelling and colourful 3rd person open world simulation that supports up to 4-player multiplayer.

In It’s Only Money, you take on the role of an Undercity resident, cast down by the newly elected evil mayor into the sewers and subways. Your goal is to venture to the surface to steal, fight, destroy and, ultimately, take down the corporations owned by the Mayor’s corrupt cohorts. Win back the city block by block as you buy houses, businesses, clothes, cars and whatever else your materialistic heart desires as you become the low-life living the high life.

Make the city of Rockhaven your playground as you complete missions and activities, go shopping, pickpocket the rich, lockpick cars and steal their contents, or hotwire them and take a joyride. Get into fights with the local police department, or simply tour the city and enjoy the fine dining at a Mayor Mart. Whatever. Do it all with up to 3 other friends (or randoms). Steal together, fight together, complete missions together or just hang out in a club and gamble. If you’re feeling competitive, why not engage in various PvP minigames, such as Prop Hunt, where you disguise yourself as couches, fence posts, garbage cans or whatever you can find in the street. Think of it as hide and seek for your inner shapeshifter.

It’s Only Money is currently in Early Access and there is a big new content drop on the way soon when Chapter 2 releases on April 23rd. The vehicle focused update overhauls handling and AI, and adds purchasable garages, new cars, a personal valet and the ability to customise your rides. The update also adds a redesigned opening to introduce players to the game’s open world aspects, as well as the first ‘Side Hustle’, dubbed ‘Courier’. Then there is the debut of bikes and scooters, new properties and clothing to buy, expanded chest and quest rewards, along with other additions and improvements.

“It might seem a little strange to publicly insult a development partner in a press release, but trust me, those guys aren’t going to see this – they couldn’t even figure out how to rent office space, so I doubt they’ve even discovered the internet yet.” said Paul Farley, CEO at Firestoke “To be honest the game is pretty damn awesome, so it’ll make us money regardless. In the meantime, we’ve found somewhere suitably low rent for them to work. Sign up to the It’s Only Money Discord server and keep an eye on them for us, who knows what madness they’ll get up to when we’re not looking…”

“We’re really stoked that some people from “Scotland”, which apparently is a country we’re not entirely convinced exists, took a punt on our game,” said Aaron Alexander, Co-Founder of Usual Suspects. “It means so much to toil away, giving up our blood, sweat and tears for a product, only for it to now be controlled by a corporate entity. Nothing makes us happier as a team knowing that our dream of being game developers has become a living nightmare for the foreseeable future. Thanks Firestoke.”

About Usual Suspects

Usual Suspects was founded in 2020 by Aaron Alexander & Jayde Cohen. They had no ambition to run a real company, but very quickly found investment and other opportunities after they had quickly developed an open world prototype in Unreal Engine. Being mature and wise businessmen, they decided the best thing to spend their money on was hiring multiple friends full time to help flesh out the project into a real game. Against all conventional wisdom and sensible business practices, somehow It’s Only Money was successfully developed and released to the world. Despite an admittedly “rough” exterior, the developers at Usual Suspects have a combined 35 years of experience in the games industry, shipping titles from the indie level all the way up to AAA at various studios.

About Firestoke

Firestoke’s vision is to connect a growing global audience of players with the games they love. They are driven by creative inspiration, but informed by data, enabling them to bring players the best indie games from the brightest development talent. They love games that bring people together, that can be shared with friends and family and which spark joy! Collectively, they have contributed to numerous global hits including some of the industry’s biggest and most loved brands. Their extensive experience in video game development, technology and publishing enables them to offer collaborative partnerships that make a difference.

About Kenshi

Kenshi is a free-roaming squad based RPG focusing on open-ended sandbox gameplay features rather than a linear story. Be a trader, a thief, a rebel, a warlord, an adventurer, a farmer, a slave, or just food for the cannibals.

Research new equipment and craft new gear. Purchase and upgrade your buildings to use as safe fortified havens when things go bad, or use them to start a business. Aid or oppose the various factions in the world while striving for the strength and wealth necessary to simply survive in the harsh desert. Train your men up from puny victims to master warriors. Carry your wounded squad mates to safety and get them all home alive.

About Lo-Fi Games

Lo-Fi Games is an independent games studio based in the UK, and the developer of Kenshi. Founded by Chris Hunt in 2006, Kenshi was among the first games selected for Steam’s Greenlight’s Early Access in 2013. After its official release in December 2018, Kenshi became one of the top 100 most-played games on Steam in 2019 and hit the milestone of 2.3 million global sales in 2024. Kenshi 2, a highly anticipated prequel of Kenshi, is currently in development.

Farm Production Pack Coming April 30 to Farming Simulator 22

  • 20+ new items: Selling points, production equipment, storage sheds & more
  • Distribution center & markets add new layers of gameplay around supply & demand
  • Daily demands reward fast delivery and smart logistical management
  • Farmers may wash their crops – and increase the yield!

Virtual farmers can soon ramp up their production in Farming Simulator 22 – and while at it, make their operation more sustainable. Publisher GIANTS Software announces the Farm Production Pack coming to PC and consoles on April 30th.

Enhanced Economics & Daily Demands

Dynamic prices and daily demands reward fast deliveries, when farmers take on contracts from several new points of sale: A farm store requests agricultural resources, a supermarket requires processed foods, and vending machines along with market stalls demand fresh produce. Meanwhile, a new kind of wind turbine and solar panels (including a remote-controlled cleaning robot) generate passive income.

Washing Crops, Increasing Yield

New farm equipment further increases the yield of harvests and resources: The Lely Sphere, a circular manure-handling system, creates liquid fertilizer from ammonia emissions when placed next to animal sheds and combined with sulfuric acid. VDW’s Cleaner Tiger scrubs and cuts sugar beets after separating them from stones, and a washing drum produces washed crops that can be sold at higher prices.

Managing a Distribution Center

Agricultural entrepreneurs, who don’t stop at selling their harvest and have their eyes on a late-game empire, can own a 4,000-square-meter distribution center equipped with heavy-loading shelves. Safely operating a forklift, they manage the distribution of pallets arriving at unloading bays, and need to apply clever logistics to satisfy dynamic market demands. In addition, several customizable sheds and silos for storing bulk materials, vehicles, and tools, as well as a vehicle repair shop with garage, are available for ownership.

The Farm Production Pack is developed by Design, Modeling & Innovation (DMI) and published by GIANTS Software, scheduled for release on April 30th. Farming Simulator 22 is available for PC, Mac, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

TEAM17 DIGITAL AND AMBERTAIL GAMES ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP TO PUBLISH PREHISTORIC SHOP SIM, AMBER ISLE

Ambertail Games’ debut title welcomes players to set up shop in Amber Isle, a friendly village packed with residents to befriend, items to craft and sell, and adventures to be had on Steam and Nintendo Switch.

Tuesday, 9th April 2024 – Team17 Digital and Northern Irish game developer Ambertail Games, supported by Northern Ireland Screen, have today announced a partnership to publish upcoming dino-centric shop management sim, Amber Isle. Coming to Steam and Nintendo Switch™, Amber Isle welcomes players to the eponymous Amber Isle, a friendly village fit to bursting with an eclectic mix of prehistoric animals (Paleofolk). As the new (and only) shopkeep on Amber Isle, it falls to players to stock their store with everything their Paleo-pals might need. Does the microraptor need a micro-chair? The plesiosaur some water-proof paper? Each customer has their own unique needs and behaviours, so players will need to haggle, pawn, and counter-offer to get the best price possible, making their shop a resounding success and saving Amber Isle from the brink of fossilisation.

Welcome… to Amber Isle!

Whittled down to its last remaining residents, Amber Isle has well and truly seen better days, and a last-ditch effort to save it sees the grumpy iguanodon Mayor Clawsworth cast a keen yet cynical eye over the new venture, hopeful that Amber Isle can return to its glory days. After designing their own Paleo-character, players will adventure out into the world of Amber Isle, spending their days maintaining their shop, befriending the locals, and improving the village enough to convince other Paleofolk to return and take up residence permanently.

Did you know: Tyrannosaurus rex is closer in time to us humans today than it was to Stegosaurus? T.rex lived 66 million years ago, but Stegosaurus lived 80mil+ years before T.rex existed!

Luckily for us, this isn’t how things work on Amber Isle- Our Paleofolk consist of prehistoric animals from a range of different geological eras, all waiting to live happily side by side on your island!

Amber Isle Key Features:

  • Open Shop:  Customise, name, and run your shop your way – use the profits to unlock new shop décor, walls, floors, and more, making the space uniquely yours.
  • Rebuild the Island: Rebuild, decorate, and unlock new areas to explore on Amber Isle, and with enough improvement, Paleofolk will start to take up residence on the island permanently.
  • Meet the Neighbours: Ambler Isle is home to 48 different Paleofolk to befriend, including Ice Age mammals, Permian amphibians, marine life, invertebrates, and more.
  • Paleo-you: Express your penchant for the prehistoric and design your very own Paleofolk – change your clothes, crests, and colours, to create your perfect paleo-persona.

TAKE TO THE SEAS IN BESIEGE EXPANSION, THE SPLINTERED SEA, COMING MAY 24

The Splintered Sea takes Besiege from land to sea, introducing new mechanics and maps to the timeless favorite.

London, United Kingdom, April 9, 2024 | Spiderling Studios, the studio behind the acclaimed title Besiege, is thrilled to announce a new expansion to their physics-based builder. Venture into uncharted waters, face new challenges, and unleash aquatic mayhem in The Splintered Sea, a Besiege expansion available on Steam on May 24th.

Head to the High Seas

Enriching the original game’s experience, Besiege: The Splintered Sea offers a new expansion to the popular physics-based builder. In The Splintered Sea, players battle through a 10-level oceanic campaign, introducing new block types to bring more chaos to the high seas. Using elements of hydrodynamics, this expansion challenges players to explore new builds capable of above-water combat and undersea exploration. Test your creations in the expansion’s new sandbox, which sees players sailing through a vast archipelago, exploring ancient ruins, and putting their engineering to the test on water courses. Using The Splintered Sea’s eight new aquatic blocks, you can spread your destruction across land and sea!

A Fan Favorite

Launched in Ver. 1.0 in 2020, Besiege continues to reign in the builder genre. Using an intuitive building system, players can construct war machines to destroy villages, annihilate armies, and obliterate castles. With over 70 building blocks available, players can achieve success or epic failure through the limitless creativity of their machine designs. Conquer Besiege’s 55 single-player campaign levels, spanning four island nations ripe for conquest. Players can test their builds in an expansive sandbox environment; once you’re ready, enter the Besiege Multiverse, a multiplayer experience that supports head-to-head combat, intricate puzzle solving, and cooperative conquering.

Gameplay Features:

  • Oceanic Campaign Challenges: Dive into ten new water-themed campaign levels, pitting your creations against your enemy’s formidable fleet and treacherous sea creatures.
  • Building Aquatic Machines: Harness the power of 8 new blocks specially designed for maritime madness, including floats for buoyancy, a rudder for improved steering, a harpoon launcher for engaging enemies, and more.
  • Immersive Water Simulation: Play with hydrodynamics, including shape-dependent drag, density-based buoyancy, and higher-speed impacts, offering a realistic and engaging aquatic building experience.
  • Brand New Sandbox: Explore a rugged archipelago, challenge mighty galleons, terrorize local fishermen, and navigate treacherous waters in a sandbox built specifically for The Splintered Sea.
  • Multiplayer Madness: Engage in multiplayer combat with friends, create custom levels with the in-game editor, and unleash chaos in Besiege‘s water-filled arenas.

Besiege: The Splintered Sea launches May 24th on Steam. An expansion bundle will be available for new players to purchase, and players who own Besiege can purchase the expansion separately. For more information, visit the Besiege: The Splintered Sea Steam page.
