New Character “Chloe Noir”, Seasonal Events, Free Items and More

SYDNEY (April 5, 2024) – Today, SQUARE ENIX^® announced FOAMSTARS™, the online 4v4 foam party shooter, will launch its newest season, MYSTERIOUS SWING, on April 13, 2024. New and returning players will soon have access to a new character, new events, and a variety of new free and premium cosmetic content. MYSTERIOUS SWING will be available to all players and runs from April 13 until May 18.

MYSTERIOUS SWING highlights include:

• A new FOAMSTAR – Chloe Noir: a mysterious art gallery director who uses a straight-shooting foam charge rifle to hunt down opponents using Ciel, her Bubble Beastie. Chloe Noir can be acquired by all players for free as a Tier 31 reward for the Season Pass or can be obtained immediately by purchasing the Premium Pass.
• Weekly free limited-time items: Slide into the FOAMSTARS shop every Friday to get free content. One item per week is available for all players and includes a Character Skin for Mel T, a Foam Gun Skin for Jet Justice, and more.

• Ranked Party: Two limited-time seasonal events, the solo player-based Ranked Party Lonestar and team-based Ranked Party Tribe-Vibe.
• Extreme Party: Challenge players in two special themed events; the All Chloe Party – where every player team competes to chill opponent teams as… Chloe Noir, and the Bubbly Penguin Party, where players can only fight using Penny Gwyn with her Toboggan Bomb and Emperor March skills.

Plop down on the couch and blast blobs with buddies in arcadey multiplayer party shooter

LOS ANGELES – 4 April, 2024 – Armed and Gelatinous: Couch Edition, the frenzied multiplayer arcade space shooter from Three Flip Studios featuring a multitude of blob-based minigames, blows away the competition on PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on Thursday, 2 May, 2024.

Go trigger-happy in all-out blob warfare as one of four adorable gelatinous blobs. Absorb an arsenal of 16 lethal weapons including laser rifles, rocket launchers, and melee blades to gain mass, increase health, and become Unblobable. Customize each battle mode with modified loadouts and more in Death Match, Time Match, Stock Match, and the new crowd favorite, Combo King. 

Keep in mind bigger does not always mean better! Smaller wobbly blob bodies move with unmatched agility and can launch supercharged dash attacks that deal a lethal blow to even the bulkiest of blobs. Amongst the carnage, look out for scrumptious space tacos to heal up and head back into battle. Size and wits matter in this fun-filled cosmic showdown of epic proportions.

Dart around in zero gravity with a host of hectic party game modes. Gobble galactic tacos as quickly as you can in Food Fight to reign supreme or sharpen your skills in the Blob Dojo, a chaotic sandbox mode for 1-4 players. Feeling sporty? Team up and throw down in a plethora of sports mini-games including Blob Soccer, Dodgeball, and Football. With such a vast array of game modes, there’s truly something for everyone.

Players will be delighted as they unlock new weapons, items, game modes, and additional rulesets. Plus, every weapon and item can be toggled on or off for even more personalization. Kick the party into full gear with a round of RPGs only or go full Pirate Mode with just swords and cannons. The possibilities are endless! No friends? No problem! Armed and Gelatinous: Couch Edition features the voice talent of Brian Sommer (Diablo III and League of Legends) as well as the work of legendary sound designer Jory Prum (The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Among the Sleep). Beyond recording the game’s SFX, Jory also fully mastered the game’s more than 20 eclectic jazz and retro music tracks in collaboration with some truly stellar musicians including Chris Huelsbeck (R-Type, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron), Paul O’Rourke (Psychonauts 2, Broken Age), and Zac Zinger (Street Fighter V, Final Fantasy XV).
