DIRECTIVE 8020 DEBUTS “EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW IN 60 SECONDS” TRAILER AHEAD OF LAUNCH ON MAY 12

Premiering at the Galaxies Showcase, the new trailer delivers a rapid-fire briefing on the sci-fi survival horror awaiting players aboard the Cassiopeia, with pre-orders now live across all platforms, including STEAM!

Guildford, UK – April 16, 2026 – Supermassive Games today revealed a brand-new 60-second trailer for Directive 8020, its cinematic sci-fi survival horror adventure launching on May 12, 2026. Premiering at the Galaxies Showcase, the trailer offers players a final pre-launch briefing on the nightmare awaiting aboard the colony ship Cassiopeia, where a mission to secure humanity’s future becomes a desperate fight for survival against an alien organism capable of mimicking its prey.

Pre-orders are available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and at participating retailers (while stocks last), with digital pre-orders on Steam launching TODAY, April 16.

Directive 8020 – Join the Mission

From the creators of Until Dawn and The Quarry comes an all-new sci-fi survival horror adventure where Earth is dying and humanity is running out of time. Sent on a mission to Tau Ceti f, the crew of the colony ship Cassiopeia crash-land far from home, and soon realize they are not alone. Hunted by an alien organism that can imitate its prey, paranoia spreads quickly as trust begins to collapse among the crew.

Directive 8020 evolves The Dark Pictures formula, blending cinematic storytelling with more active survival gameplay. Players must evade real-time threats, react under pressure, and harness new stealth mechanics to avoid detection by an enemy that could be anyone – even a member of your own crew. Every movement matters. Every sound can give you away. Every decision can cost a life.

With a branching narrative shaped by player choice, players for the first time in a Dark Pictures game can see their decisions mapped out in a story tree with the ability to rewind by using Turning Points, orlive and die by their choices in survival mode.

Starring Lashana Lynch as Brianna Young, the Cassiopeia’s pilot, Directive 8020 thrusts you into a desperate fight for survival and a gripping cinematic sci-fi horror experience.

Trust No One

At the heart of Directive 8020 lies a terrifying question: who is still human? The alien organism stalking the Cassiopeia can perfectly imitate its prey, turning crew members into deadly impostors. As suspicion spreads, every interaction becomes a risk, and every decision could cost a life. In a world where anyone could be the enemy, trusting the wrong crewmate could be fatal.

Movie Night Mode and Multiplayer

Survive the horrors of the Cassiopeia alone in single-player mode. Or don’t play alone in Directive 8020’s Movie Night mode, allowing up to five players to experience the story together in local couch co-op. Pass the controller to your fellow crewmates as the story unfolds, share the tension, and work together over every life-or-death decision to survive alien infiltrators, deadly dilemmas, and catastrophic system failures. Five-player online multiplayer will also be supported in a free post-launch update, bringing the couch co-op experience online. More information about this is coming soon.

Pre-Order Directive 8020 Now to Secure Your Free Deluxe Edition Upgrade

Pre-orders are available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and at participating retailers (while stocks last), with digital pre-orders on Steam launching TODAY, April 16. Pre-orders include access to:

40v40 squad-based tactical shooter ‘83 launches on Steam Early Access April 23rd

New trailer showcases the Cold War gone hot!

Cornwall, England April 16th, 2026 – Blue Dot Games are proud to reveal that their upcoming 40v40 squad-based tactical first-person shooter ‘83 is coming to Steam Early Access on April 23rd. Set in an alternate 1983 where the Cold War escalated into an all-out warzone, ‘83 is a spiritual successor to Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, with members of the original dev team founding Blue Dot Games. To commemorate the Early Access release date reveal, Blue Dot Games has unleashed a new trailer offering an extended look at its launch trailer debuted during the Galaxies Showcase today.

“Our motto for ‘83 was “accessible realism”, where everything – from the uniforms to the specific sounds of and animations of firing each gun – is thoroughly researched to create a historically accurate shooter, yet we still want the game to be fun to play, with merciful respawn times. ” said Tony Gillham, CEO at Blue Dot Games. “Don’t let the accessibility fool you; while anyone can pick up ‘83 and have a good time, teams will still need to communicate and perform their role well to seize a victory. ‘83 carves out specific Commander and Squad Leader roles for veterans to guide their squad, while rookies can learn the ropes from the front lines until they know the game well enough.”

More about ‘83
‘83 puts players in the boots of a soldier in this shadow history, wherein massive 40v40 matches feature authentic Cold War-era weapons, vehicles and squad-based objectives. Coordinate with teammates, capture critical points and dominate the battlefield with smart tactics and teamwork.

‘83 was built on the idea of “accessible realism”, where the game is mindful of players’ time, while also offering an accurate portrayal of how a historical battle could play out. Matches average around 30-40 minutes, while dying only takes you out of the match for a short while, before allowing you to respawn. Don’t underestimate this seemingly low-stakes penalty, as that time-out is enough to turn the tide of battle since ‘83 requires thorough communication and teamwork, with Team Commanders guiding their faction through strategic organization and nail-biting calls.
Players can choose from a variety of roles: from frontline riflemen to vehicle operators and support units – each with their own loadouts and strategic value. ‘83 features era-authentic weapons and equipment with realistic handling and lethality, with each armament meticulously designed and animated according to its real life counterpart. Every weapon behaves in a realistic way, with barrels and suppressors overheating when rapid firing, machineguns require a stable surface for accuracy, and bullets don’t magically teleport in between magazines when you reload a half-empty one. ‘83’s focus on realism, coordination and large-scale immersion offers players a gritty, boots-on-the-ground experience in a world teetering on the edge of nuclear war!

About Blue Dot Games
Blue Dot Games is an independent game development studio consisting of industry veterans with a passion for immersive, tactically rich shooters. Known for their work on acclaimed titles such as Red Orchestra and Rising Storm, the team brings decades of combined experience in multiplayer game design, systems development, and historical authenticity.

In 2023, Blue Dot Games acquired the rights to ‘83 following the closure of its original developer, Antimatter Games. Since then, the team has led a full-scale revival and redevelopment of the project, building on its foundations with a clear creative vision and renewed technical direction.

FROM EX FALL GUYS & GANG BEASTS DEVS… TASK TIME OUT NOW

8 contestants enter, 0 friendships remain, and you’ve got 48 hours to play for free!

Watford, UK – 16th April 2026:  Award-winning publisher Wired Productions and indie developer ReadGraves have surprise-launched Task Time, as revealed live during the Galaxies Showcase. The game show inspired, Takeshi’s Castle-fuelled party experience is available right now on PC via Steam and is completely free to play for the first 48 hours as a limited time celebration, following a shadow drop live during the show.

Built to wreck friendships, spark rivalries, and turn every match into total carnage, Task Time is ready for contestants, pitting up to eight players across 6 rounds of unpredictable chaos where alliances are formed, betrayals unfold, and only one Taskling can walk away victorious.

With a “drop it like it’s hot, get your tasks on” attitude, Task Time leans fully into fast, chaotic competition where winning means doing whatever it takes. After the free period ends, Task Time will be available for just $4.95 / £3.96 with the limited time 38% launch discount!

Watch the Early Access Launch trailer:

Task Time hits Early Access with a PEAK crossover, letting players unlock the iconic ‘Bing Bong’ character as cosmetics in game. Because if you’re going to ruin friendships, you might as well look good doing it.

In Task Time, up to eight contestants are thrown into a rapid-fire gauntlet of unpredictable, physics-fuelled challenges where winning is only half the game. The real objective is simple: make sure everyone else loses. Drag opponents off platforms, sabotage progress, trigger meltdowns, and turn the easiest tasks into complete disasters in seconds.

Created by (some of) the developers behind genre-defining party games including Fall Guys and Gang Beasts, Task Time takes the formula and pushes it further. Faster. Meaner. Less fair. With hundreds of thousands of possible task combinations, no two matches play out the same. One moment you are in control. The next, everything has collapsed. Just like life, right?

“We didn’t want a traditional launch,” said Leo Zullo, Co-founder and Managing Director at Wired Productions. “Task Time is built on surprise, chaos, and pure mayhem, so it made sense to launch it the same way. Dropping it live and making it free for 48 hours gives players the perfect excuse to jump in, grab some friends, and start ruining relationships immediately.”

“We encourage players to embrace the jank, if only because we’ve made no serious attempt to remove it. The game works best when you meet it halfway.” – said Sam Read-Graves, Creator of ReadGraves.

Players who join during the free period can unlock content and carry their progress forward if they choose to purchase the game once the promotion ends.

Task Time is available now on PC via Steam.

Key Features

  • Multiplayer mayhem for up to 8 contestants Compete across a relentless barrage of task-based mini-games where sabotage is just as important as skill.
  • Hundreds of thousands of task combinations Expect constant surprises, shifting objectives, and matches that spiral out of control in seconds.
  • From the minds behind party game giants Developed by some of the talent behind Fall Guys and Gang Beasts.
  • Free for 48 hours on Steam Jump in now, play for free, and decide later who you never want to speak to again.
  • Exclusive PEAK crossover cosmetics Unlock special in-game items inspired by the hit survival game.
  • Twitch integration that fights back Viewers don’t just watch, they interfere. Trigger chaos, mess with players, and turn every match into a live, unpredictable spectacle.
