Octopath Traveler Launches on the PlayStation Store Today

SYDNEY (Jun 6, 2024) – Today, Square Enix® announced that OCTOPATH TRAVELER is now available to purchase for the PlayStation®5 (PS5®) and PlayStation®4 (PS4®) consoles and OCTOPATH TRAVLER II  is now available for the first time on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, meaning that the award-winning RPG series is now available to play across all current console platforms and PC (Windows PC and STEAM®).
 
Square Enix also announced that from today, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can complete the full OCTOPATH experience on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass where both OCTOPATH TRAVELER and OCTOPATH TRAVELER II are available to download via the Game Pass library.  
 
Since its launch in 2018 with OCTOPATH TRAVELER, the OCTOPATH TRAVELER series has sold over four million copies worldwide*, popularizing the unique HD-2D art style: a striking blend of 2D characters designs in beautiful 3D worlds. Odyssey OLED Series: Visual Excellence with New Burn-In Prevention Features

The 2024 Odyssey OLED models expand Samsung’s offerings of next-generation OLED performance with the new Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD model) and Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD model).

The new Odyssey OLED gaming monitors are the next entry to expand Samsung’s OLED monitor market leadership. The Odyssey range release comes after Samsung achieved the top position in global sales in the OLED monitor market within only one year of launching its first OLED model[5]. This achievement underscores Samsung’s rapid ascent in the competitive landscape of OLED monitors while reinforcing its commitment to diversifying its gaming monitor lineup with models that leverage the company’s proprietary OLED technology.

The Odyssey OLED G8 is the first flat 32” Samsung OLED gaming monitor with 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. It has a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GtG) response time for ultra-smooth and responsive gameplay, while also being bolstered with G-Sync to help eliminate tearing and stuttering for smooth, rich visuals.

The new Odyssey OLED G8 is Samsung’s first OLED gaming monitor powered by AI. The NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, which is the same processor Samsung uses in its 2024 8K TV, upscales content to nearly 4K when using Samsung Gaming Hub[6] and the monitor’s native Smart TV apps for higher resolution in gaming and entertainment[7].

The Odyssey OLED G6 is a 27” QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution monitor, supporting a 16:9 aspect ratio. Its 360Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms (GtG) response time make it easy for gamers to keep up with fast-moving gameplay.

Both new OLED models feature Samsung OLED Safeguard+, a new Samsung proprietary burn-in protection technology. This technology is the first in the world to help prevent burn-in by applying a pulsating heat pipe to the monitor. Additionally, the Dynamic Cooling System evaporates and condenses a coolant to diffuse heat four times more than the older graphite sheet method, which helps prevent burn-in by reducing temperature at the core[8]. The monitor can also detect static images like logos and taskbars, automatically reducing their brightness to provide another means of burn-in prevention[9].

The Odyssey OLED G8 and OLED G6 both deliver brilliant OLED picture quality with a brightness of 250 nits (Typ.), while FreeSync Premium Pro keeps the GPU and display panel synced up to minimise choppiness, screen lag and screen tearing.

Samsung’s new OLED Anti-Glare technology[10] also helps preserve colour accuracy and reduces reflections while maintaining image sharpness to ensure an immersive viewing experience, even in daylight. The OLED-optimised, low-reflection coating overcomes the trade-off between gloss and reflection thanks to a new, specialised hard-coating layer and surface coating pattern.

Both monitors feature a super slim metal design that gives them a distinct identity, while Core Lighting+ enhances entertainment and gaming experiences with ambient lighting that synchronises with the screen. The ergonomic stand also makes long sessions comfortable with adjustable height, plus tilt and swivel support.

Smart Monitor M8: AI Processing for Crystal Clear Video and Audio

The updated Smart Monitor lineup brings together a complete multi-device experience into one hub for smarter entertainment and greater productivity. The upgraded 2024 models include the M8 (M80D model), M7 (M70D model), and the M5 (M50D model).

The upgraded 32” 4K UHD Smart Monitor M8 introduces new features powered by AI with the NQM AI processor, taking entertainment experiences to the next level. AI upscaling brings lower resolution content up to nearly 4K[11], and Active Voice Amplifier Pro uses AI to analyse background noise in the user’s environment to optimise dialogue in the user’s content[12]. 360 Audio Mode[13] is available on the M8, which pairs with compatible Galaxy Buds to create an immersive sound environment. The built-in SlimFit Camera also makes it easy to conduct video calls through mobile applications with Samsung Dex[14].

New to the entire line of Smart Monitors is a Workout Tracker,[15] which pairs with a compatible Galaxy Watch to enable real-time health data on the screen, even while streaming content. This makes it easy to track workout goals and can make working out more enjoyable.

These new features enhance the already impressive Smart Monitor functionality. Smart TV apps and Samsung TV Plus[16] provide instant access to a wide range of streaming services and live content, without needing to boot up a PC or connect to other devices[17].

The M7 is available in 32” and 43”[18] with 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution, a brightness of 300 nits (Typ.) and a gray to gray (GtG) response time of 4ms. The M5 is available in 27” and 32”, with FHD resolution (1920 x 1080), a brightness of 250 nits (Typ.) and a response time of 4ms (GtG).

ViewFinity Series: Maximising Creativity and Ease of Use

Optimised for creatives and professionals, the latest ViewFinity lineup includes the ViewFinity S8 (S80UD), ViewFinity S7 (S70D model) and the ViewFinity S6 (S60UDIn 2024, the S60UD comes ready with a Daisy Chaining feature, enabling multiple monitors to be connected with a single connection – with as many as four screens at a single workstation, allowing for users to duplicate or extend content with ease.

The Easy Setup Stand is put together with one quick click, requiring no tools or screws, making it fast and easy to set up and enjoy the ViewFinity’s vibrant display. SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – June 5, 2024 – Today, Ubisoft announced that The Crew™ Motorfest’s Season 4 will be available worldwide starting July 3 as a free update, introducing the “Donk vs Lowrider” Playlist, the iconic face-off of car customization: Donks, pride and joy of the East Coast, versus Lowriders, prized possessions of the West Coast. Two communities with their own urban identity and specific customization codes, nourishing a tough rivalry, but sharing a passion for cars: chill on one side, speed on the other, yet with style and swagger for both.

To support this season, Ubisoft called upon internationally celebrated photographer Estevan Oriol who advised the team on cultural elements and their integration in-game, from voiceovers, to graphics packages, by way of art direction and more.

The Crew Motorfest Season 4 will offer extensive new content. In the brand-new Donk vs Lowrider playlist, players will have to choose their side, and learn the specificities of each car culture through 12 main events. Following various workshops and face-offs, they will progressively build a Donk or Lowrider car and impose their style. New gameplay features will also be introduced, such as the “Car Dance”, a rhythm-based game mode tied to Lowriders’ unique abilities, and the “Street Versus”, a performance-based mode between Donk cars on a dragstrip. More information about The Crew Motorfest’s Season 4 will be shared at the end of June, including the full list of new events, vehicles, and quality of life improvements.

Additionally, players will get to celebrate the arrival of highly anticipated car manufacturers in The Crew Motorfest on June 12^th, with Abarth, Alfa Romeo and Lancia bringing 17 new vehicles to the festival, including two brand-new cars: the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (1968) and the Alfa Romeo GIULIA GTAm (2021). To celebrate this news, the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (1968) will be available as a Twitch Drop Reward during Ubisoft Forward. The car will also be available in The Crew Motorfest shop on June 13.

But that’s not all – more major surprises are on their way! To learn more about The Crew Motorfest’s Year 2 content, players can tune-in to the Ubisoft Forward conference on June 11.
