M. Bison gameplay reveal comes one day after Year 2 character roster unveiled

London (June 8, 2024) Galloping fiercely into battle as the 23rd character in Street Fighter™ 6 is the Psycho-powered fallen dictator, M. Bison, entering the fray on June 26, 2024, across PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam! M. Bison’s gameplay reveal comes just one day after all four Year 2 characters were announced, including M. Bison himself, the ever-popular Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui from SNK’s Fatal Fury series, and the capoeira master Elena!

To watch the M. Bison gameplay trailer, please visit YouTube, and for the latest assets and information on Street Fighter 6, visit the official Street Fighter 6 website.

The iconic, power-hungry M. Bison was last seen seemingly defeated by Ryu in Street Fighter™ V, and has now awoken and stumbled into the Ruined Lab with only one thought on his mind: reattaining the villainous power he once had.

M. Bison’s move set will feel both familiar and fresh compared to previous Street Fighter installments, with Psycho Power and aggressive pressure still major parts of his fighting style, featuring some of the following moves:

  • Shadow Rise: A quick and high-reaching jump that has two follow-ups, including his iconic Head Press and Devil Reverse moves
  • Backfist Combo: An all-new move that allows M. Bison to plant Psycho Mines in his opponents
  • Knee Press Nightmare: M. Bison’s Level 1 Super Art that takes aim at opponent’s legs with a series of crushing blows and is invincible on start-up
  • Psycho Punisher: M. Bison’s Level 2 Super Art that launches opponents into the air with a powerful shockwave from a stomp
  • Unlimited Psycho Crusher: M. Bison’s Level 3 Super Art sees the villain rush towards his opponent and smash them into the ground with devastating strength

Check out even more details on his moves here so you can better prepare for the impending evil.

M. Bison will be unlocked for owners of the Year 2 Character Pass and Ultimate Pass, and M. Bison’s iconic Outfit 2 from Street Fighter™ II: Champion Edition will be released at the same time as well.

Tame Wild Flames in Sorcerous Soulslike “Witch of Oblivion”, Coming to PC in 2025

TOKYO — June 8th, 2024 — Witch of Oblivion, the sorcerous soulslike set in an ever-changing open world developed and self-published by Tasto Alpha, sparks into existence in a reveal trailer featured in today’s IGN Live showcase. Master the flames on PC via Steam Early Access next spring.

In an age forgotten, the godlike Ancients have wielded nature’s might to dominate the world for time immemorial. The awakening of Cinder Witch Lyva provides kindling for hope to blossom, but upon waking from her years-long slumber, she has no recollection of her life’s purpose. Search high and low across an ever-changing forest for memory fragments to unveil her reason for existence in a colorful, dreamlike RPG adventure.

Explore a vast, dangerous woodlands that magically alters the locations of its fantastical inhabitants, keeping Lyva on her toes for what’s behind each tree. Befriend docile critters in possession of magical secrets, and battle aggressive fauna like flying snakes, sprouting spiders, and ferocious fowl. Then, interact with sage-like animals and the human-esque Wildfolk, who offer sidequests in exchange for worship and gifts.

Within Lyva lies the ancient Fire Magicks, versatile offensive and defensive magicks that can be used to destroy, create walls of flame, traverse the environment and even conjure a healing bonfire. Her magicks can even be used to improve her close quarters combat with her staves, or mix movement abilities with counterattacks for an advancing parry. Conjure up to four abilities at once, and equip additional passive skill gems and talismans for stat boosts.

Time is of the essence during Lyva’s excursions into the unknown: keep an eye on her energy levels during exploration and battle, lest she suffer a narcoleptic need for sleep that transports her back to the last visited Tree of Respite. Visit the shopkeeper to purchase new spells, use them to strengthen Lyva, increase her resistance to sleep to elongate each run, and awaken to a different landscape as the field rearranges itself with newly positioned enemies and dungeons.

Respect the Forbidden Flame — capable of burning friends and foes alike — or risk uncontrolled destruction of innocent life. Indiscriminate use will leave the forest and its furry inhabitants in ashes, leading to untold consequences and altering the story’s trajectory. Ready to unleash Lyva’s full destructive capabilities? Climb online leaderboards against witches around the world while burning bosses to a crisp in record time.

Witch of Oblivion mixes the classic soulslike experience with elements of precision and self-control. Instead of only monitoring health and magic reserves, it also requires consideration of collateral damage,” says Tom Ikeda, Director at Tasto Alpha. “Our crafting system allows for near infinite ways to customize your playstyle, so players can explore the effects of a cautious approach, wanton destruction, and everything in between. ”

Witch Of Oblivion will be available on PC via Steam Early Access in spring 2025. For more information on the game, visit the official Steam page, and follow @WitchofOblivion on Twitter / X.

However, once equipped with one of the many firearms squirrels so often encounter in nature, you’ll use your weapon to take on the Agents that are hunting you down. You may be less than a foot tall, but you can stir up trouble with the best of them.

DIVE INTO THE STORY OF UNKNOWN 9: AWAKENING RELEASING IN 2024

Bandai Namco Europe revealed today that Unknown 9: Awakening, the narrative action-adventure game by Reflector Entertainment, will take players on a journey across the world starting in Spring 2024 (ANZ) on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.

In a new trailer revealed today, players can discover more about the motivations driving Haroona’s quest and spot a few of the friends and foes she’ll encounter along the way. Haroona has relied on her beloved mentor Reika’s teaching to help her master her unique Fold-related abilities since she was a child. For years, she trained Haroona on the intricacies of this other dimension, tutored her on the ways of the world, and often recounted tales of enigmatic immortal figures said to preside over all of humanity’s knowledge — the Unknown 9.

Unfortunately, all this training came to a sudden halt the moment Vincent Lichter decided to take Reika’s life. Believing the Unknown 9 have kept humanity from realising its true potential for far too long, the leader of the Ascendants and former pupil of Reika’s has committed himself to freeing the world of their influence once and for all. His goal? To ensure humankind takes control of its own destiny, no matter the consequences. His actions cost Haroona too much, and so she sets off on a journey to stop him. Can Haroona prevent humanity’s best-kept secrets from falling into the wrong hands?

Dive into the story trailer here:

Unknown 9: Awakening is a third-person, narrative-driven, action-adventure game that follows the story of Haroona, a Quaestor born with the ability to venture into the Fold: a mysterious dimension that overlaps our own. On her quest for powerful hidden knowledge, she will learn to master her unique connection to the Fold, which allows her to channel its powers into our world. But such power does not go unnoticed. Haroona quickly becomes the target of the Ascendants, a splinter faction of a secret organisation known as the Leap Year Society, which wants to use the Fold to alter the course of human history.

Unknown 9: Awakening will launch this Fall 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
