THE CREW MOTORFEST FEATURES US CAR CUSTOMIZATION TRENDS WITH NEW SEASON 4

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – June 5, 2024 – Today, Ubisoft announced that The Crew™ Motorfest’s Season 4 will be available worldwide starting July 3 as a free update, introducing the “Donk vs Lowrider” Playlist, the iconic face-off of car customization: Donks, pride and joy of the East Coast, versus Lowriders, prized possessions of the West Coast. Two communities with their own urban identity and specific customization codes, nourishing a tough rivalry, but sharing a passion for cars: chill on one side, speed on the other, yet with style and swagger for both.

To support this season, Ubisoft called upon internationally celebrated photographer Estevan Oriol who advised the team on cultural elements and their integration in-game, from voiceovers, to graphics packages, by way of art direction and more.

The Crew Motorfest Season 4 will offer extensive new content. In the brand-new Donk vs Lowrider playlist, players will have to choose their side, and learn the specificities of each car culture through 12 main events. Following various workshops and face-offs, they will progressively build a Donk or Lowrider car and impose their style. New gameplay features will also be introduced, such as the “Car Dance”, a rhythm-based game mode tied to Lowriders’ unique abilities, and the “Street Versus”, a performance-based mode between Donk cars on a dragstrip. More information about The Crew Motorfest’s Season 4 will be shared at the end of June, including the full list of new events, vehicles, and quality of life improvements.

Additionally, players will get to celebrate the arrival of highly anticipated car manufacturers in The Crew Motorfest on June 12th, with Abarth, Alfa Romeo and Lancia bringing 17 new vehicles to the festival, including two brand-new cars: the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (1968) and the Alfa Romeo GIULIA GTAm (2021). To celebrate this news, the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (1968) will be available as a Twitch Drop Reward during Ubisoft Forward. The car will also be available in The Crew Motorfest shop on June 13.

But that’s not all – more major surprises are on their way! To learn more about The Crew Motorfest’s Year 2 content, players can tune-in to the Ubisoft Forward conference on June 11.

Apogee’s Magical FPS “Wizordum” Conjures Surprise Launch of Episode 2

Summoning a winter launch for Episode 3 and 1.0

DALLAS June 4, 2024Wizordum, the retro first-person spellcaster developed by Emberheart Games and published by Apogee Entertainment, materializes a surprise launch of Episode Two on PC via Steam, as announced today at the OTK Expo, with Episode 3 and the 1.0 launch arriving in Winter 2024.

In Episode Two, journey through the shadowy depths of Terrabruma, and purge the evil forces of Chaos across a slew of new locales. Wield fresh firepower added to the last remaining mage’s repertoire, including a new godlike weapon, the addition of alternate fires, a cauldron of consumables, and a new magic system where slaying enemies replenishes spellcasting abilities.

Embody nature’s wild wrath with the Storm Gauntlets, unleashing powerful lightning strikes forking into multiple foes. Adapt to skirmishes with greater flexibility thanks to new alt-fire abilities: reduce goblins to ashes with the Fire Ring’s added short-range flamethrower ability, and manually detonate explosive projectiles with the Spellstriker’s Arcane Rock.

Cleanse mystical forests, mercenary-laden warships, and abandoned ritual grounds of the Chaos-controlled monstrosities lurking within. Avoid the perils of unseen snares like Flame Breathers and Wall Smashers that punish overeager mages that get too close.

Mount vicious, oversized rodents to trample waves of warmongers. Exchange scavenged loot for weapon upgrades, spell enhancements, and stat boosts at the new Sorcerer’s Shop. Pick up newly added consumables during battle: chug a Haste Potion and dash past obstacles, or deal damage by flashing through enemies with the new Blink ability. Immobilize nearby foes with Frost Breath, halting all enemy movement within arm’s reach.

In Episode 3, launching this Winter, scale snow-capped mountains before diving into Terrabruma’s molten core where the source of Chaos resides. Three new weapons await, including the Stinger Crossbow, capable of flinging iron bolts through the hearts of multiple enemies with a single shot. Watch every step as falling rocks and volcanic eruptions complicate the trek. Face off against Frost Trolls, Flying Imps and Dark Knights on a quest to eradicate evil once and for all.

Wizordum’s early access release made a thunderous debut, and we’re pleased to shock our community and newcomers alike with today’s surprise drop of Episode Two,” said Primož Vovk, developer at Emberheart Games. “The new consumables and Sorcerer’s shop freshen up the game, and even Episode One feels better thanks to these additions. We have quite a few twists and turns up our sleeves for 1.0, stay tuned! ”

Wizordum (including Episode Two)is available on Steam for $14.99. For more information on the enchanted world of Wizordum, check out their Twitter and Discord. For more on Apogee Entertainment, please visit the Apogee website and follow @Apogee_Ent on Twitter.

Big Boy Boxing Premieres Animated Trailer at OTK Games Expo

Smooth boxing action meets comically brutal, hand-animated pixel art at multiple summer showcases.

CALIFORNIA, United States – 4 June, 2024 – Big Boy Boxing, the energetic boss rush game developed by Soupmasters and published by Joystick Ventures, answers the bell with the premiere of its new animated trailer at OTK Games Expo, ahead of the premiere of a brand-new demo at Steam Next Fest, starting this Monday, 10 June. New trailers will also premiere at Guerrilla Collective, Future Games Show, and IGN Live.

In the animated trailer, the protagonist showcases their skills as they dodge, duck, dip, and deliver knockout punches to claim victory against a range of the wackiest of bosses. Inspired by the Punch-Out!! series, players face off against unassuming foes like Freezy Boy, the dreaded Titanic 5000, Wild Dude, Trigger Happy, and many other adversaries in a universe dripping with slapstick gags depicted in hand-animated pixel art.

Counter a barrage of unpredictable attacks with your own personalized strikes. Train with the ever-supportive, popcorn-munching Coach Hank to learn a variety of customizable perks and abilities like the lightning-fast Thunder Punch, or take a defensive stance with the self-sustaining Healing Touch. Stay standing long enough to watch an over-dramatic comedy story unfold.

“Movement is such a crucial component of boxing,” says Martin Calander, Founder of Soupmasters, “so we exaggerated every shift in momentum in our animations. We wanted to capture that cartoonish essence with each pixel and incorporate the slapstick comedy that is so unique to Big Boy Boxing. We’re so excited to share our game with you all!”

Iam8bit and Night School, a Netflix Games Studio, Announce OXENFREE II Vinyl Soundtrack

scntfc’s critically acclaimed synthwave score materializes as a physical artifact, out June 6

LOS ANGELES – June 4, 2024 iam8bit, and Night School, a Netflix Games Studio – the developer behind the OXENFREE series, Afterparty, and Next Stop Nowhere – are proud to announce that they’re bringing the OXENFREE II: Lost Signals soundtrack to vinyl. The two-disc vinyl soundtrack is available to order on iam8bit.com on June 6 and ships immediately.

With 22 tracks pressed on Radio Disturbance Red vinyl, its otherworldly grooves let listeners enjoy the music and mood of OXENFREE II again and again. What’s more: The ludicrously talented Calder Moore crafted all-new cover art worthy of the moody music found inside, calling to mind the brain-bending, jaw-dropping visuals present in the game itself through a stunning new perspective.

The OXENFREE II: Lost Signals two-disc vinyl soundtrack will be available June 6 at 9 a.m. PDT for $42.99.
