Brooklyn, New York — This week, solo developer indie studio onewinter games announced that its tower defense roguelite Terrorformer TD is featured in Steam Next Fest from now until June 17th with a playable demo!

Terrorformer TD is a tower defense roguelite where the map erodes and grows as the game progresses — but the player gets terraforming tools to shape it! Every round, the player fortifies their defenses to survive against waves of enemies; then cashes in at the shop for new towers, upgrades, and other rewards. Players gain XP and level up to unlock new abilities and components after each run, growing stronger the longer they play.

What began as a Master of Fine Arts thesis project quickly transformed into the pride and joy of solo developer TJ Cioffe of onewinter games, as he realized that this was a real opportunity to build upon previous tower defense staples and take the genre in his own direction. In doing so, Terrorformer TD has been carefully crafted to include all of the best elements of tower defense while adding its own twists, such as procedurally generated maps that can be terraformed, roguelike progression, online leaderboards, and weekly challenges.

“I’ve had a blast researching and testing what makes the best tower defense games so good,” onewinter games solo developer TJ Cioffe stated. “It’s a fascinating genre that stands between modern Vampire Survivors-likes and RTS classics like Starcraft that’s spawning some really creative concepts lately. There’s never been a more interesting time to be making a tower defense game and I’m excited to share Terrorformer TD with the world!”

The Steam Next Fest demo of Terrorformer TD adds 12 new enemy types (including 2 new bosses) for a total of 75 rounds’ worth of planned enemy challenges. The number of maps available has been expanded to five, with two existing maps receiving a rework and two new maps added to the game.  Finally, extensive playtesting has led to optimizations in the mid-to-late game, resulting in nearly doubled performance when the map is filled with towers! 

Key Features of Terrorformer TD:

• Terraform the Battlefield: Unlock new procedurally generated maps, each with unique terraforming opportunities and base-building strategies. Grow along with the dynamic battlefield and design the right defenses for each playthrough’s challenges.
• Assemble a Home Tower: Customize your Home Tower each run from the components you’ve unlocked, giving you access to special abilities, upgrades, and weapons! Earn dozens of permanent perks as you play and level up, increasing your survivability on each run.
• Choose Your Own Adventure: Unlocks, upgrades, and map erosion are randomized every round, so each playthrough is different. Try your hand at a harder difficulty, or see how long you can last using the Weekly Challenge’s loadout!
• Take on Enemy Hordes: Counter enemy abilities like Fortify, Warp, and Disable Tower with 25 unique towers that earn XP and level up, growing stronger as the game goes on. Mix-and-match defenses to find the best combination for each enemy challenge.

Angelic Buster is moving on from her Soul Recharge system for powering up her best skills, and with her new talents, she can tap into MP to power them instead, helping her dazzle the crowd easier than ever. Prepare For Some More Hyper Burning

Hyper Burning is back, allowing a single character to gain two bonus levels each time they level up until they reach level 260. The super-fast leveling continues with an all-new map for Hyper Burning called Tera Blink. This new feature allows players to enter a world inside Spiegelmann’s Hat at level 10 and stay until level 200 for accelerated leveling. Using Hyper Burning in conjunction with Tera Blink will allow an experienced player to reach level 200 a lot faster than they normally would be able to. 

Maplers Can Jump Into Fun-Filled Activities And Receive Heaps Of Rewards

Epic Dungeon: High Mountain is MapleStory’s first epic dungeon for characters level 260 and above. Players engage in the story of the awakened sun god Mitra who has returned to the High Mountain after a long slumber. They must defeat numerous enemies and the boss Tynus to receive plenty of EXP, Sol Erda, and Sol Erda Fragment rewards.

Legion Artifact is a new growth system where players can complete missions through various gameplay and obtain stats that can be applied to all characters. Players will complete Artifact Missions to gain Artifact EXP and points and use those rewards to enhance their Artifact Crystals to gain various stats like Increases Boss Damage, Increase Critical Damage, Increases Item Drop Rate and more.

In Dreaming Lachelein, Lucid invites players to a fascinating party hosted in Lachelein, the Dreaming City. Players can receive rewards just by logging in every day and will get additional benefits by completing weekly missions. They can also get rare outfit items by participating in mini-games and get loads of EXP using event special skills for rapid leveling.

• Sami Mylly – Senior Game Programmer at Fingersoft with over 25 years of gamedev experience as coder, designer, UX/UI developer of mobile games. The title of Sami’s lecture will be ‘(Ab)using Addressables’.

Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021, a game that allows you to make a career as a motorcycle mechanic, debuts on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The title is distinguished by a good dose of realism and extensive mechanics-related options. The simulator’s release date is set for June 5 this year. Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021 has already been released on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

The simulator, created by Polish studio Play2Chill S.A., has previously already appeared on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. On the Steam platform, the game currently has 73 percent positive reviews (out of about 1,100 player reviews). The publisher of the game on PlayStation 4 is Ultimate Games S.A. Thanks to backward compatibility, the title also works on PlayStation 5.

Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021 is a game that allows you to become a motorcycle mechanic who starts his career with a small garage, but with the prospect of creating a large business. The gameplay is based mainly on the execution of varied orders concerning, among other things, the repair, overhaul and construction of motorcycles.

The simulator’s developers focused on realism, preparing extensive options related to motorcycle mechanics. Importantly, each of the types of motorcycles available in the game consists of about 400 different parts.

In Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021, the progress system is based on experience points earned during the execution of orders and the funds obtained, which can be spent on the development of the workshop. The simulator also offers, among other things, options for testing motorcycles, personalizing equipment and the garage, as well as searching for unique parts.

The simulator’s release date for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 is set for June 5, 2023.

The Wasteland has broadened its horizons with today’s launch of Fallout 76: Skyline Valley. Now available for free for Fallout 76 players across all platforms, Skyline Valley marks the first ever map expansion and takes the adventure southward to the brand-new Shenandoah region where players will investigate the cause of an electrical storm looming overhead and unveil the mystery around Vault 63 where players will meet its dwellers and discover a shocking new Ghoul type – The Lost.

In this upcoming expansion, players will encounter a new enemy type, a supercharged Ghoul with electrifying weapons and armour, and expose their mysterious origins.
