Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days’ Zombie Outbreak Storms the PC Gaming Show

Plan, adapt, and survive during the first-ever public demo coming to Steam in October 2024

WELLINGTON, NZ – 10 June 2024 – PikPok’s Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, the shelter survival game set in a zombie-infested Texas city, offers a new glimpse of its harrowing vision of an undead outbreak in today’s PC Gaming Show with a new gameplay teaser. The game forms part of the Into the Dead franchise, which has more than 150 million downloads. Survivors intent on overcoming and escaping the zombie plague can prepare with a playable demo on Steam, available in October 2024.

As the undead overrun Walton, Texas, in the summer of 1980, desperate survivors band together in hopes of staying alive long enough to escape the city.

Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days’ PC Gaming Show teaser showcases three cornerstones of the game: planning, adapting, and surviving. Scavenge various locations for valuable materials, carefully avoiding zombies in heavily infected areas. Balance the needs and well-being of each survivor, and upgrade meager shelters with fortifications and amenities to make it through the night before selecting new locations to explore the following day.

As time passes, Walton City’s undead inhabitants spread like the plague, requiring flexibility and adaptability. Utilize resources to craft weapons and tools to face down zombies, and move shelters frequently to stay relatively safe. Make difficult choices that affect the group’s morale, welcome newcomers, or prey on trusting survivors when supplies become scarce. Adjust to evolving escape plans as you navigate difficult in-game decisions, survivor permadeath, and the ever-present threat of encroaching zombies.

Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days blends survival horror-inspired gameplay with challenging management elements where every decision counts,” said Mario Wynands, CEO of PikPok. “We’re thrilled to showcase a small slice of what to expect at the PC Gaming Show before our first public playable demo in October 2024.”

Into The Dead: Our Darkest Days will launch on PC via Steam Early Access in 2025, with a playable demo coming in October 2024. For more information about Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, visit the official website and follow the game on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X.

Dance with Devils, Befriend Classmates in Tactics RPG Demonschool Friday, Sept. 13

OAKLAND — June 9, 2024 — Demonschool, the school-life tactics RPG with hints of Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and Italian horror cinema from developer Necrosoft Games and publisher Ysbryd Games (WORLD OF HORROR, VA-11 HALL-A), earns a degree in kicking demon butt on PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on Friday, September 13, as seen in today’s PC Gaming Show.

Survive a semester of screams as college freshman Faye, the final heir of the last practicing demon-hunting family, Upon arriving at a mysterious island university, she finds supernatural investigations on her syllabi. With newfound allies at her side, battle imps, demons, and class discussion boards, and close the breach between worlds before it’s too late.

Form a demon-busting battle party by befriending (or romancing!) 15 different playable characters, each with a distinct set of abilities. Employ Knute to heal friendlies and cure poisons, or invoke Destin to kick enemies away as far as possible with the strength of his short shorts. Carefully balance class schedules, combat training, side quests, extracurriculars, and more to boost classmates’ skill sets while still acing midterms.

Ready the party’s moves in the Planning phase, mindfully placing classmates in advantageous positions to utilize their strengths. Set or rewind movements to build the perfect turn, then confirm your intentions with the Action phase to watch the attacks, heals, and striking combos play out simultaneously.

2D and 3D art collide in a chess-like purgatory filled with macabre monsters and intense boss battles. Take on gruesome demons inspired by Japanese horror manga and ‘60s-’70s Italian horror cinema. Strategize on tactics gameplay influenced by Into the Breach and painted in the hues of JRPG classics like Shin Megami Tensei and Persona.

“We wanted to encourage experimentation in Demonschool, including the ability to undo moves or and redo a whole turn from scratch, providing freedom to tinker with different mechanics and abilities for maximum punishment,” said Brandon Sheffield, creative director of Necrosoft Games. “We’re looking forward to seeing new ideas we haven’t even thought of play out on the battlefield!”

Demonschool begins orientation on PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on Friday, September 13, 2024. It will offer English, French, and Simplified Chinese language support.
