SYDNEY (July 31, 2024) – Today, SQUARE ENIX^® released a free playable demo for the highly anticipated action RPG Visions of Mana^TM, the first mainline entry to the beloved Mana series in more than 15 years. Players can jump into the demo now on PlayStation^®5 (PS5^®), PlayStation^®4 (PS4^®), Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Microsoft Store and STEAM^®) to get a taste of what’s to come ahead of the game’s official launch on Aug. 29.

In the demo, players will embark on a journey that begins partway through Chapter 1, starting at Rime Falls and continuing into different areas, including the Fallow Steppe and Rhata Harbor. Those up for the challenge can also take on the chapter’s final boss, the Kraken. Players can join up with three party members, Val, Careena and Morley, and experiment with the Wind and Moon classes to enhance their demo experience.

Although save data from the demo cannot be carried over to the full game, as the content has been altered for a more satisfying experience, players with save data from the demo and who purchase Visions of Mana will receive three weapons* for Val, including the Gladius, Falx and Horn Lance, by starting their playthrough of the full game and proceeding as far as Chapter 1**.

Stormgate preserves classic RTS gameplay while introducing modern innovations to make it more approachable. The “BuddyBot” assists players of all skill levels, acting as training wheels or an always-on helper to aid in managing the game’s economy and base-building, so that they can enjoy RTS gameplay without needing the high “actions per minute” (APM) of a seasoned pro. Automated control groups and the quick macro panel simplify inputs, lowering the skill floor without affecting the skill ceiling.

Stormgate offers four main modes of play:

• Campaign: Explore an ever-evolving story, with three free missions and more available for purchase.
• Competitive: Engage in ranked 1v1 battles. A Hero-driven 3v3 mode is coming later.
• Cooperative: Control powerful Heroes and team up in 3-player co-op vs. AI opponents on maps with unique objectives.
• Custom Games: Challenge other players to 1v1, 2v2, or the MOBA-like Turf War mode (Editor to be released later during early access).

The Duck Life 9: The Flock free content update is now live for PC, and fans can try the game with the free PC demo available on the Steam page.

The Duck Life franchise started back in 2010 as a flash game released on the Newgrounds and Kongregate game portals. It quickly gained popularity, being hosted by hundreds of websites and picking up over 200 million plays over its lifetime. The original game involved training up a duck in running, swimming and flying and then entering it in races – all to become the champion of duck racing. Over the next 14 years, Duck Life has continued to evolve and found new homes and fans on PC, mobile (in partnership with MAD.com), Nintendo Switch and Xbox platforms.

Welcome to the newest chapter of the Duck Life series, Duck Life 9: The Flock, where the ducks are still finding new ways to do what they do best – honing their skills and racing their way to the top! Touch down on the tropical archipelago of Featherhaven Island and set up shop in your own little town, ready to rise up the ranks and become the fastest flock there is!

Different Duck stats – Get ready to cultivate the most talented bunch of ducks any farmer has ever had! Start your flock from selection of different eggs, each with unique skill bonuses that affect how well they can utilise their skill levels during races. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, before we hotfoot it to the races it’s time to get your newly-hatched duck to grips with some training!

Training – Becoming the champion won’t be easy, though, as this is hardly a simple matter of training alone. Feed and clothe your ducks to help boost their stats, and then race every challenger you can find! The island itself is filled with many tricky tasks to overcome, and without fully exploring each of the 9 areas that surround your humble settlement, you won’t stand a chance against the mysterious challenger that looms atop the volcano…

9 Island locations – Discover an expansive, vibrant new 3D world sporting luscious meadows, dazzling crystal plains, a floating city and much more. As your ducks broaden their horizons, you mustn’t be afraid to delve a little deeper and discover the secrets that these areas hide, from jelly coins to buried treasure – you never know what could be lurking around each and every corner!

Build your town – As your ambitions grow, so does your flock. Over time you can take your home from a humble campsite to a fully-fledged village, sporting shops, housing, decorations and other interconnected systems that allow the inhabitants to talk to each other and level up their skills. Start your own farm to have more food and drink to go around, or create a town square where learned ducks can stand atop a soapbox and impart their knowledge – it’s up to you!

Become the tournament champion – Filling your flock with a rich mix of feathered friends will help to strengthen the overall group. It’s going to be a team effort if you want to topple the competition! Use your best swimmers for the swimming leg of the race, and your best climbers for the mountainous peaks. You’re only as good as your worst player, so remember to treat all of your ducks with care, and you’ll surely see the fruits of your efforts blossom into a truly remarkable team of ducks!
