PAX Attendees will be able to play Assassin’s Creed Shadows and experience Rainbow 6 Siege Showmatches

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – September 12, 2024 – Today, Ubisoft ANZ announced their lineup featuring Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Rainbow 6 Siege for PAX AUS taking place in Melbourne from October 11 – 13.

Attendees will be able to go hands-on with Assassin’s Creed Shadows at the Ubisoft Booth and will also have the opportunity to hear directly from Game Director, Charles Benoit from Ubisoft Québec, in a dedicated theatre presentation. Charles Benoit will present a deep dive into the game with his presentation Bringing Assassin’s Creed Shadows to Life with Ubisoft Québec, which will take place on Saturday, October 12 at the Quokka Theatre from 1:00 – 2:00pm.

PAX AUS attendees will also experience the return of live Rainbow 6 Siege in Australia with dedicated creator and esports showmatches on Friday, October 11. The action starts from 5:30pm inside the Queue Hall (for entry after 6pm, enter via Door 1 on the concourse) with a showmatch featuring ten creators in a 5v5 match with a twist: every round the stage host will spin a wheel to change rules for teams! Following the creator show match, two of the best Rainbow 6 Siege esports teams in APAC, will go head-to-head in a classic exhibition match. SYDNEY (Sept. 12, 2024) – Today, SQUARE ENIX® released the latest entry in the popular role-playing game series, DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince, for PC (Steam®) and mobile devices (iOS and Android). PC (Steam) and mobile versions will include all previously launched DLC from the Nintendo Switch™ Digital Deluxe Edition, in addition to the game’s main story quests, allowing players to quest for revenge, discover new monster combinations, and immerse themselves in strategic battles.

DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince features Psaro, the Demon Prince, whose curse prevents him from harming monsters. As a result, he must become a Monster Wrangler, recruiting, and fighting alongside monsters throughout the various environments of the fantastical world of Nadiria. Over the course of this adventure, the seasons and landscape will regularly cycle through Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter, which will open up new areas and allow players to encounter different monsters specific to that season.

Players can experiment and eventually unlock over 500 monsters, including franchise favorites, dark lords, and completely new creatures. Be among the first to take on Swordai’s merciless trials. Scale a massive tower and traverse handcrafted dungeon floors, facing deadly traps, bosses and rival players while striving to escape with your hard-earned loot. Swordai throws players into a first-person multiplayer dungeon-crawling experience where every second and decision they make counts. With limited-time progression, your sword and your wits are the only thing standing between you and certain doom.

Explore 3 Major Updates and New Features:

Revamped Crafting and Loadout System

Beyond mastering the directional combat system, —featuring ripostes, feints and kicks— players can now enjoy a complex crafting system by combining various items through recipes, unlocking up to 25 unique abilities to equip. This new feature enhances the skill tree system, allowing players to personalize their fighting style with distinct attributes. Use caution when crafting on the fly within the tower, as you may be met by unexpected dangers that can end your run.

Enhanced Player Experience

As a raw, fast-paced directional combat game, Swordai features an easy-to-learn, yet difficult-to-master combat system. Beginning with basic abilities, players will be able to pick up the combat system easily and unlock more advanced moves as they progress throughout the game. For every unique challenge a dungeon presents, players must constantly adapt to complete different levels that test their strategy retention and quick-time combat skills. Scaling dungeons means better loot as players progress further. NPCs scattered throughout these dungeons offer different rewards based on their region and tier.

Expanded Dungeon Design

The dungeons in Swordai have been significantly expanded, with each dungeon about 50% larger as of the latest patch. Venture into more complex layouts, including an all-new tier 1 dungeon area, where you’ll face the new mini-boss, the Fallen Guard Captain. Approach pathways with care as concealed spike traps and coffins lie in wait. Draw too close, and the Fallen Soldiers will rise to challenge you. Do not take these enemies lightly; their unique powers will test your utmost skill. Overcome them, and you may claim vital items to enhance your abilities. An advanced portal system requires players to act quickly in a life-or-death chase. Players only have 30 seconds to catch their prey from escaping through a portal. If it takes longer, the portal will transport you to a different location, allowing the other player to slip away successfully.

Access to the playtest will be granted in waves to offer an optimal testing experience. ALX Theory LLC welcomes players with this special opportunity to provide valuable feedback during this crucial stage of development.
