This series of new products, which are being independently developed and published by PLAION REPLAI under license from SNK, will remain available for pre-order across retailers worldwide and on plaionreplai.com.
The decision to delay follows an extraordinary response to the announcement of the NEOGEO AES+ earlier this year. Demand from fans, collectors and retail partners has prompted PLAION REPLAI to expand manufacturing, increase investment in the platform and broaden its long-term software roadmap.

Since announcing the NEOGEO AES+, PLAION REPLAI has been working with manufacturing partners to increase production capacity. However, unprecedented worldwide demand for memory chips, driven by investment in AI infrastructure, has created well documented industry-wide supply constraints. Rather than proceed with the previously planned November launch with severely constrained worldwide availability, PLAION REPLAI has chosen to take additional time to secure the component supply that is now needed to meet the demand of pre-order customers and a substantially larger worldwide release. The additional time will allow PLAION REPLAI to secure the component supply and manufacturing capacity required not just for launch, but to support NEOGEO AES+ over the long term.
The revised launch schedule also supports a broader long-term vision for the platform. Alongside the ten launch titles already announced, PLAION REPLAI is in discussion with other licensors to bring more games to the platform, reinforcing its commitment to the NEOGEO AES+. The extra time will also be used to give players around the world more opportunities to get hands-on with the system ahead of launch. PLAION REPLAI hope that this additional access, together with a more comprehensive communications campaign, will enhance the overall customer experience.
Ben Jones, Commercial Director at PLAION REPLAI, said: “This isn’t the announcement we hoped to make, but the response from the gaming community has been incredible. The level of enthusiasm for NEOGEO AES+ has given us the confidence to think much bigger about the future of the platform. With that comes a responsibility to deliver the launch properly.”
Ben continues: “We explored every option to maintain our original timetable. In the end, we concluded that launching with severely constrained availability would not be fair to our community. Taking additional time allows us to secure more memory chips while expanding our manufacturing. Had we launched in November, we would not have been able to deliver NEOGEO AES+ to customers at anything close to the scale we believe the community deserves. The NEOGEO AES+ Ultimate Edition will remain a limited-production collector’s edition. Existing pre-orders remain secure, with the remaining production allocation continuing to be available for pre-order while stocks last.

To thank the community for its continued support, every console from the launch production run will include a Founding Supporter Bonus. The bonus will be included with all launch stock, while supplies last, and will not be included in future manufacturing runs.

For several weeks in February 2026, a mysterious crate would appear on WWE programming, promising an unusual surprise to be revealed soon. At the Elimination Chamber PLE, the crate opened to reveal an unsettling coffin, from which burst forth the enigmatic and immediately captivating Danhausen. Quickly establishing himself as a must-watch attraction, the “very nice, very evil” face-painted and caped Superstar has crossed paths with a who’s who of WWE stars, offering his services in exchange for “human monies,” and declaring, “You are cursed!” to those who fail to cooperate. Often summoning supernatural assistance in his matches, and even helping professional sports teams win championships, there seems to be some real magic and method to Danhausen’s madness.
“Hello, yes, it is Danhausen here and I am debuting in my first ever WWE video game, WWE 2K26,” said Danhausen. “It is a dream come true to finally be in a WWE game. It is very nice, very evil.”
Standing well over six feet and weighing in at nearly 400lbs, his head tattooed with colourful flames matching his ring gear, the colossal Bam Bam Bigelow cut an imposing figure. A former ECW World Heavyweight Championship, ECW World Television Championship, WCW Hardcore Champion and WCW World Tag Team Champion, Bigelow was known for his surprising agility, performing cartwheels, moonsaults, and other nimble maneuvers not often seen from Superstars of his stature. This athleticism combined with his legendary toughness made Bam Bam Bigelow a force to be reckoned with in WWE, WCW, and ECW, across a career spanning more than 20 years.
A WWE Hall of Famer, former Women’s Tag Team Champion, and Divas Champion, Brie Bella is as much known for her in-ring accomplishments as her appearances across pop culture and lifestyle branding. Alongside her twin sister Nikki, Brie is one of the most beloved faces of the Divas Era, whose crossover appeal introduced a generation of female fans to the world of WWE via reality TV series Total Divas and Total Bellas. On September 10, RIN: The Last Child comes to PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S, a new metroidvania with exploration elements and thousands of spell variants. In a new featurette, the UK Military’s Chief Survival Instructor & Consultant John Hudson examines the deadly realities behind Dune: Awakening’s desert world, from hydration, shelter, and exposure to sandstorms, resource management, and surviving as a group.
Drawing on his experience designing and running survival training in extreme environments, including deserts, Hudson highlights the realism of Dune: Awakening’s weather-sculpted rock formations and unforgiving landscapes.
“The rocky outcrops that the team of Dune: Awakening have built are incredibly realistic,” says Hudson. “They look like they have been sandblasted by desert storms. They look sculpted by the wind. Yet within them you can see some hope of refuge.”
Hudson explores how the game’s hostile environment mirrors real-world desert survival principles: protecting against extreme heat and sun exposure, conserving water, seeking shelter during sandstorms, and relying on group coordination to carry the resources needed to endure.
