Mario Kart meets SEGA Saturn in retro-inspired arcade rally racer featuring crazy courses, online battles and more

Los Angeles, CA – September 20th 2024 – Solo-dev Walaber’s retro-inspired arcade rally racer, Parking Garage Rally Circuit, is available today on PC for $9.99 / £8.50 / 9,75€, ahead of a potential Switch and Sega Saturn release in the future. Drift around parking garages set across the USA using tight controls and chainable Mario Kart-style boosts. The “Parking Garage Rally Circuit” tour takes you to parking garages across the US, transformed into race courses (and occasionally beset by the odd falling rock or lighting strike, but don’t worry about that). Designed to look, feel and sound like a lost Sega Saturn game that could have been released in 1998, Parking Garage Rally Circuit delivers delightfully fun time trial racing that’s easy to pick up and play but requires skill to master as you unlock new car classes and compete to top the leaderboards.

The new update brings mecha-style battles

Gaijin Entertainment announces the release of the “Next Step” major content update for the post-apocalyptic online action game Crossout. Pilots and designers of armored vehicles and armored aircraft get access to mecha-style battle walkers, a completely new type of armored combat vehicle. A new “The Way to the Top” map and the new “For the Emperor” brawl are also a part of the update.

Mecha legs are a new type of chassis for armored vehicles that can be used in conjunction with other parts and weapons to build your own unique combat vehicle. Several leg options are available, differing in characteristics, design and special capabilities. For example, the “Tengu” model allows you to dash towards the enemy, and the “RN-M Dino” allows you to lift off from the ground for a short time. Armored vehicles with new mecha legs can take part in battles in PvP battles marked as “Arcade”, all PvE raids, and certain brawls.

Arcade is a new permanent type of PvP  where all vehicles, including walkers and armored aircraft, can participate. The performance of some modules is modified (i.e. speed and weapon damage are increased) to ensure the most dynamic battles. Battles are held in a team-on-team format, with respawn after death enabled. To win in “Arcade”, you need to pick up capsules that remain at the site of the death of opponents, and save the capsules of fallen allies before the enemy team gets to them.

Simultaneously with the release of the update, a new season of the “Next Step” battle pass started, among the rewards of which are new weapons, modules for armored vehicles, cosmetic items and resources. You can read more about them in the development diaries on the official website of the game.

First Fatality Revealed for Upcoming Guest Fighter, Ghostface from Scream Franchise 

Warner Bros. Games have released the official launch trailer for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, an all-new expansion for Mortal Kombat 1 that will be available digitally on Sept. 25 at 1am AEST for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). 

The launch trailer provides a closer look at the new Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns storyline, which continues the cinematic narrative centred on a dangerous threat that has emerged from an alternate timeline, led by the ruthless Titan Havik. To defeat this menace, Fire God Liu Kang must rally his champions and put faith in his enemies before his New Era of peace is turned into khaos for the realms. 

The trailer also reveals the first Fatality for upcoming guest fighter Ghostface, the recurring identity donned by antagonists from the Scream horror movie franchise, who will be part of Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns alongside the T-1000 Terminator (Terminator 2: Judgment Day) and Conan the Barbarian.
