Two weeks left to take down The Drop featuring Dimitri Vegas in HITMAN World of Assassination

The Drop is playable for free until the 14th of October as part of the Free Starter Pack and as an Elusive Target in HITMAN World of Assassination

Copenhagen, Denmark, October 3rd, 2024 – IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind the internationally acclaimed HITMAN franchise shares today an update on how players have been fairing in their attempts to take down the Drop. The nightlife mogul, who features superstar DJ Dimitri Vegas’ likeness and voiceover work, will continue his residency in Club Boom until the 14th of October, leaving two weeks for players to try and take him off the billboard. Prepare your loadout with precision, plan your exit strategy, and above all, make sure The Drop falls.

So far, the success rate of the mission has reached 47%, compared to 61% last year, meaning players may have underestimated The Drop’s security detail, or could have been distracted by his DJing skills. Most of the agents who have completed the mission have chosen to make things personal, as the preferred method of elimination was to take him out was using melee, with 33% opting for this route. The Drop also may want to stay away from workshop tools, as the favourite weapon used against him was the screwdriver. SpecialEffect’s flagship One Special Day mobile promotion lands on Friday 4 October

October 3rd, 2024 – Gamers’ charity SpecialEffect are inviting gamers to buy and play selected mobile games including Subway Surfers, Hay Day, Golf Clash and Dream League Soccer from some of the biggest names from the industry on Friday 4 October as part of their annual One Special Day flagship fundraising campaign.

Gamers can raise vital funds for the charity by purchasing qualifying titles and DLC from One Special Day industry partners including Sybo, Supercell and Rovio, who will donate a percentage of the resulting UK revenue.

In turn, the charity pass on what they learn to help hardware and software developers make their products and games easier to use for as many people as possible all over the world.
