Oberhaching, Germany, October 22nd 2024 – Developer SpaceRocket Games and publisher Toplitz Productions are excited to share the remarkable achievements of Permafrost during Steam’s recent Next Fest. The game secured the number 3 spot in “Trending and Upcoming Games” and reached a high of number 7 for “Most Popular Demos” in its first few days. Additionally, Permafrost became one of the top 20 most wishlisted demos. This success highlights the game’s growing popularity among fans of the survival genre.

Propelled by a great reaction to the demo by players with a ‘very positive’ rating on Steam, Permafrost is the latest entry in the post apocalyptic survival genre and one that builds its narrative around a catastrophic event that has plunged the world into a permanent winter with deadly sub-zero temperatures. Open world survival game fans will be pleased to know that the Permafrost demo will remain on Steam and has updated the latest version with hotfixes for improved stability.

In a recent Q&A, SpaceRocket Games revealed that completionists can expect over 30 hours of gameplay in the story at launch. Expanding on equipment options, two additional weapons including a crossbow will provide players with the capability to hunt or to defend themselves from aggressive enemy factions such as the moon cult. SpaceRocket Games also hints that ranged combat mechanics will evolve and that Permafrost will introduce more companion options and dog breeds for players to utilize, additionally the launch version will provide transport in the form of a sleigh and snowmobile for traversing large expanses.

Also hinted are a lot more customization options for players to be able to tune the game to their personal taste.

Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment bring the momentous theatrical fan experience to Australia cinemas on December 5.

Six-track metal reimagining of River Boy’s Cult of the Lamb soundtrack features members past and present from Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Animals as Leaders, Malevolence, Polyphia, While She Sleeps and Monuments

LONDON (Oct. 21, 2024) – Massive Monster, Devolver Digital and Laced Records have formed an unholy alliance with an all-star line-up of musicians to release ‘Cult of the Lamb: Hymns of the Unholy.‘ The six-track album is a metal reimagining of River Boy’s award-winning soundtrack for Massive Monster’s breakout indie game, Cult of the Lamb. 

Written, arranged and produced by Sam George (Pick Up Goliath) at Mammoth Sound Studio, the six songs feature vocals written and performed by Howard Jones (Light the Torch, Sion, ex-Killswitch Engage) and Matthew K. Heafy (Trivium); guitar work by Scott LePage & Clay Gober (Polyphia), Javier Reyes (Animals as Leaders), Josh Baines (Malevolence) and Sean Long (While She Sleeps); and drums by Mike Malyan (ex-Monuments). 

An official music video created by animation studio Half Giant for the lead single “CULT” (featuring Pick Up Goliath, Howard Jones, Scott LePage and Mike Malyan) is out now, alongside the single streaming and available for download on all major music platforms. The video features footage from previous Cult of the Lamb trailers along with new scenes to tell the full story of the Lamb’s rise to Godhood.
