Bioware have announced the celebrity voice cast for the highly anticipated second chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy. Bioware co-founder, Dr. Ray Muzyka on the importance of top-notch voice talent:

Credible, powerful personalities are vital to delivering a compelling story experience in BioWare’s games, and we have assembled an amazing ensemble cast that surpasses the very high bar set in the original Mass Effect!

Esteemed actor Martin Sheen stars as the mysterious Illusive Man who commands Cerberus, a secretive paramilitary organization dedicated to protecting human interests in the galaxy. Yvonne Strahovski plays deadly Cerberus operative Miranda Lawson, who has been genetically engineered for superior mental and physical traits. Returning to the cast from the original Mass Effect is Seth Green as Joker and Keith David as Admiral David Anderson. And rounding out the vocal roster are Tricia Helfer as EDI, the voice of the new Normandy; Carrie Anne Moss as Aria T’Loak, the crime lord who rules the planet Omega; Shohreh Aghdashloo as Admiral Shala’Raan vas Tonbay; Michael Hogan as Captain Bailey; Adam Baldwin as Kal ‘Reegar; and Michael Dorn as Gatatog Uvenk.

The Mass Effect trilogy is an emotionally charged science fiction adventure set in a vast universe filled with dangerous alien life and mysterious, uncharted planets. In Mass Effect 2, players will once again step into the role of the heroic Commander Shepard, commanding their crew of some of the most dangerous operatives from across the galaxy on a mission so challenging that it’s potentially suicidal. Featuring intense shooter action, a rich futuristic storyline, space exploration and emotionally engaging character interaction, the game delivers an unparalleled cinematic experience.

Mass Effect 2 will be available on the Xbox 360 and PC on January 26, 2010 in North America and January 29, 2010 in Europe

The fine peeps over at Capcom-Unity had this to share with the Capcom Community. And I had to take it from there and share it with the rest of the WORLD !!

Check out this amazing 8-bit Resident Evil 4 print on canvas (titled Los Illuminados) by artist Arcade Art.

“Los Illuminados” Limited Edition Print on Canvas by Arcade Artist.

This is a Limited Edition Canvas Print of my original NES style design re-imagining Resident Evil 4 as an 8-bit game.

The original painting from which the print is taken was painted by me especially for the Child’s Play Charity Dinner Auction 2009.

50% of all profits from the sale of this print will also be donated to Child’s Play (the VideoGamer’s Charity) www.childsplaycharity.org

Each print comes titled, signed, numbered and dated.
You will also recieve a certificate of authenticity unique to your print.

The print measures approx 9¾” x 7½” (25 x 19 cms) is made on pure cotton canvas (see pics for texture) and is limited to 50 pieces.

I will ship the print in a cello sleeve with protective packaging via first class mail and internationally by Royal Mail airmail.

Paperboy delivering his newspapers to you on the iPhone !!

Elite Systems have announced that the classic arcade game Paperboy a game we have all played and most of us LOVE to the Apple iPhone.

So far not too much is known about what’s going to be included, by the looks of the images it seems we have a new 3D mode when Paperboy makes his way through the obstacle course to the finish, to complete his daily deliveries. Graphically it’s looking very nice for an iPhone / iPod Touch game.

Bit of history :

Paperboy was an arcade game originally released in 1984 by Atari. It had made its way into hour homes on many platforms. Your job was to deliver newspapers to your customers while riding your bike and avoiding all sorts of obstacles like runaway lawnmowers, dogs, remote control cars, and many more.

Elite did advise that Paperboy will be available sometime next week. Capsule Computers will keep you posted once we have any further news

FIFA 10 Is Europe’s Top Selling Game Year to Date

EA today announced the continued record-setting sales pace for FIFA 10 as well as the development of FIFA 10 Ultimate Team, a game mode expansion and new way of playing FIFA 10, the highest rated sports game* ever on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Based on internal sales projections, FIFA 10 has sold through more than 4.5 million units worldwide since launch, a 26 percent increase over the same period a year ago (eight weeks in Europe and five weeks in North America). FIFA 10 also became the fastest-selling sports videogame in the world with 1.7 million units sold through at European retail in its first week after its launch on October 1, and it’s the top selling game overall in Europe in 2009.

FIFA 10 has achieved new franchise records for online play as well, averaging 3 million** games played daily and over 113 million^ total online games played on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 over the past two months, and will launch FIFA 10 Ultimate Team in the new year. FIFA 10 Ultimate Team is a deeper, more authentic, more dynamic version of the game mode successfully introduced last year and enables fans to customize the way they build their Ultimate Team.
