Get ready to play as Morkull, the villain of this story who has some interesting knowledge. . . He knows that he is a character in a video game. He also knows the existence of a player who controls him (that is, you) and he knows of some developers who have created him (that is, us).

Your objective? Help Morkull escape from the Ragast so he can rule and carry out his evil plans around the world. Yep, that’s right. your typical cliché villain….

  • Art and animation – Morkull Ragast ‘s Rage is completely hand-drawn and animated frame by frame. Inspired and influenced by traditional animated films and other two-dimensional video games. This traditional animation endows the entire cast of characters with great naturalness and life within.
  • Break out of the fourth wall – What makes the game special is Morkull himself, his personality and character along with that fourth wall break that allows him to talk to players as if he were right there. We have endowed Morkull with great charisma and personality, constantly generating a lighthearted atmosphere, loaded with constant humour, bad jokes and pop culture references.
  • Combat system – You’ll have your own hands and all the power that comes with being the God of Death and Darkness of course… plus you’ll have a wide selection of combos and abilities that will allow you to fight your way through the deepest corners of the Ragast.

The physical Standard and Collector’s Editions of  Morkull Ragast’s Rage will be available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 via European specialist retailers on December 4th. Both the physical and digital versions can now be pre-ordered. Check local retailers for pricing and availability. The physical Standard Edition will also be available in North America. The digital launch date of Morkull Ragast’s Rage will be announced soon.

Engage in satisfying real-time tactics packed in 5-minute battles with Killbot General

Battle solo or co-op in a hilariously unpredictable, dynamic campaign where strategy meets irreverence

Montreal, Canada, November 13th, 2024 – In the future, the killbots will rise. To prepare for this inevitable cataclysm, the two-person studio at Universe Workshop, in partnership with Signal Space Lab, have revealed that they’ve been developing the real-time tactics game Killbot General so we can simulate the impending robot warfare we know we’re all headed for. In preparation, three trailers have been unveiled: Botscaping, Origin Story and Deep Dive trailer. We may not be able to defeat the killbots – their reign is inevitable – but we can sure as hell join them!

Coming to Steam in 2025, Killbot General offers satisfying real-time tactics packed into 5-minute battles. In a world where Killbots are split in factions fighting for dominance, you are your faction’s greatest general. Lead your fully-customized faction through a procedurally-generated dynamic campaign set in the wild, irreverent universe of the killbots. You’ll have to make split-second decisions on which troops to deploy, where and when to use artillery, which hills and valleys are worth going for. Make sure you’re accounting for topography, terrain and weather, as these elements could turn the tide of battle. The name of the game is strategy, not micromanagement or fast-clicking. Do you have what it takes to lead your battalion to glory?

Deploy solo or bring up to two friends in online co-op. You can even play through the story mode together, where each player will have to make decisions that alter how the narrative unfolds, ensuring that every playthrough can take wildly unexpected turns.

Customize everything; from a faction’s name, motto and leader, to the cause it’s fighting for. Players can even customize unit names or use their own PNG images to create completely personalized flags. With multiple unit types and upgrade paths, Killbot General lets you create the unstoppable army of sentient toasters of your dreams!

With Killbot General we wanted to focus on the satisfaction of making impactful tactical decisions, without requiring quick reflexes or micromanagement,” said Francois Bertrand, game director at Universe Workshop. “Also, we aimed to get right to the good stuff, without all the lengthy buildup or tedious cleanup. Think of it like blitz chess; you’ll have to think fast, but you won’t need to click fast.”

About Universe Workshop:

Over 10 years after co-creating the indie success Symphony and then working on a wide variety of licensed titles for PC and consoles including franchises such as Final Fantasy and Dead Island, as well as a few prototype projects and VR, Jean-Francois Hains and Francois Bertrand returned to their roots in 2021 to create the original and bonkers world of Killbot General, as Universe Workshop.

Their efforts got noticed by fellow indies at Signal Space Lab, who integrated them as an independent label, where they continue to work on the game.

ATTENTION, SOLDIERS! NEW WARGAME ROGUELIKE ‘ROGUE CONFLICT’ COMING SOON TO STEAM

Enlist for duty in the new turn-based war tactic roguelike

Mariehamn, Finland, 13th November 2024 | Solo developer Frans Wikman is excited to announce the upcoming release of Rogue Conflict— Where the inspiration of classic strategic war games meets roguelike gameplay. Featuring key pixel art designed by Wikman, players will assemble their army, face opposing army factions, engage in turn-based battles, and demonstrate their military expertise in paving their way to become the supreme leading faction.

Prepare for Combat!

Congratulations, you have just been assigned to your new post! Step into the boots of a war-decorated commander and unlock up to 15 different army factions. Each faction, from infantry units to powerful armored fighting tanks, brings its own distinct strengths and abilities to the battlefield. Players are challenged to think several moves ahead. Assess the strengths and weaknesses of various enemy types, and use procedurally generated terrains from seven unique map styles to your advantage in outsmarting opponents.

Command your Forces

Begin every campaign with a transmission briefing from high command, outlining your mission objectives. Start with the deployment phase, where positioning your troops for optimal coverage of the battlefield is crucial. Create a plan of attack to infiltrate enemy territories. Use recon units to scout out enemy lines and captured village locations. Deploy artillery units to unleash powerful barrages that not only damage enemy units but also their morale. Coordinate with aircraft to provide air support, raining down from above while your tanks engage in close combat, delivering decisive blows to enemy forces. Dismantle your enemy’s strength and morale, depleting their health to zero, and complete all necessary objectives within the turn-count.

Customize your army

Adjust your strategies throughout ever-changing campaigns. Overcome enemy territories by securing enemy supply depots, radar stations, and nuclear power plants. Upon completion, players will have the opportunity to upgrade their troops’ capabilities through a Requisition Point System. Exchange RP points to obtain an intelligence report on enemy units ahead of battle, unlock boons and more advanced unit upgrades through new vehicles, equipment, and action abilities.

Gameplay Features:

  • Choose from 15 different armies to coordinate your most effective plan of attack.
  • Randomized map combinations challenge players’ combat skills on foot and in the air.
  • The game’s upgrade system offers boons to your units, reinforcement types, and large battle equipment such as tanks and aircraft.
  • Run campaigns from a commander’s perspective, managing complete control over your army’s every move in battle.

So you’ve got to work as a team to collect pellets and keep your energy reserves in check, all while being hunted by arcade anomalies. There’s also plenty of cool upgrades and special items, ranging from a humble flashlight, to a satisfying power washer, to map-room upgrades that allow players to spawn helpful arrows, decoys, or broadcast their voice to other players. Can you survive long enough to uncover the mysterious evil that has trapped you, and escape?

This latest update offers enhanced performance boosts and adds two new remixed, damaged environments and two new anomalies.
