House of the Dead Overkill Extended Cut release trailer

House of the Dead Overkill Extended Cut was released just yesterday and SEGA has revealed a new trailer for the game for the titles release. House of the Dead is a PS3 exclusive that can be played with either a classic controller or the Playstation Move. The original House of the Dead game was a light gun shooter. This successor features HD graphics, lots of violence and tasteless jokes. That sounds right up our alley!

This version of the game also has 3D support and includes all seven stages of the original re-mastered and two brand new scenarios. The ‘baddest’ just got bigger! If you want to get your hands on this game you can order the game for $29.99 here.

Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi available now in North America

While FUNimation may be releasing plenty of different versions of the Dragon Ball Z anime, Namco Bandai has been working on delivering the best Dragon Ball Z video game experience that they possibly can, and today it arrives in North America. Those living in Europe will have to wait just a few more days as their release date is October 28th.

Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi provides not only a completely redesigned battle system that provides the most over-the-top action that you could be looking for in a DBZ game. To make things even better, there is also now a system that will allow players to create a fighter of their very own and pit them against other people online. That doesn’t even touch upon one feature, completely redrawn segments of the original DBZ anime with modern technology, making it look the best we’ve ever seen the series. Take a look at the launch trailer below and see for yourself.

Mario Kart 7 steering wheel peripheral revealed for Nintendo 3DS

It seems that I spoke too soon about the 3DS not becoming the Wii. It appears that Nintendo has abandoned hope for the Nintendo 3DS’ portable capabilities because Andriasang recently found a new attachment which can be added on to your Nintendo 3DS to make all those racing games just a bit more easier. It is a very stylish, impossible to fit in your pocket Hori Mario Kart 7 steering wheel.

The attachment which has been sponsored by Nintendo will cost ¥1,280 or $17 and will attach to the back of the 3DS handheld to provide better handgrips one would suppose, as well as easier control over the tilt-to-steer mechanics the game will offer. Just don’t carry this around in public, please.

Circle Pad Pro trademarked; possible name for 3DS Slide Pad in North America?

    0

Despite Nintendo not announcing a release of the 3DS Expansion Slide Pad, which adds a second circle pad to the 3DS, outside of Japan, Capcom already has stated that the add-on will be available next year for Resident Evil: Revelations. It seems all the more likely now that this peripheral will be released in the West, especially after Siliconera dug up a new Japanese trademark.

The trademark is for a Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad Pro, which would most likely be the name of the new add-on if it were released in the West. Of course at this time, this is all speculation as companies have trademarked things in the past and never done anything with the name, but it is all the more likely that Nintendo will soon have a peripheral for the 3DS… at least there aren’t a bunch of strange peripherals besides this one.

Batman: Arkham City ships 4.6M, 2M sold in first week

When Batman: Arkham City was announced, I’m sure no one thought that it would be a poor selling title, but nobody thought that it would be as successful as quickly as it has been so far. Warner Bros. has revealed that their next venture in the Caped Crusader’s journey has done extremely well in the marketplace, shipping 4.6 million units in the first week and selling over 2 million copies in that time.

With it’s predecessor title being extremely well made, and this one being better than the original in nearly every way, these sales aren’t very surprising. It is interesting to note that the first game, Arkham Asylum, sold 4.3 million copies. So if the rest of the shipped copies sell, then the sequel will surpass the original in sales as well as content.
