Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is coming to PC…. NOT!

2

Ubisoft initially said that Ghost Recon: Future Solder would be coming to PC. They even tagged some forum posts with this information. However, it appears now that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be coming to PC as Ghost Recon: Online, a non-DRM, free to play game that is “the PC equivalent” of Future Soldier.

Ghost Recon Online senior producer Sebastien Arnoult says that 95% of people would pirate Future Soldier if released online.*

“To the users that are traditionally playing the game by getting it through Pirate Bay, we said, ‘Okay, go ahead guys. This is what you’re asking for. We’ve listened to you — we’re giving you this experience. It’s easy to download, there’s no DRM that will pollute your experience,'” Arnoult tells PC Gamer.

*Can we please get some actual verification on that Ubisoft? Thanks!

People Can Fly making Gears prequel?

According to OXM, via CVG, the developers behind Bulletstorm will be prodcuing the next Gears of War game and it will be a prequel to the rest of the Gears games. According to them, “a prequel trilogy developed by Epic-owned People Can Fly [is] a likely scenario.” After failing to reach profitably with Bulletstorm, it seems like the logical move by People Can Fly and Epic Games. It And it will be great to have a fresh approach on the Gears franchise and new characters will also be fun to play with. In addition, Dom and Fenix’s story has reached a solid conclusion so tacking on more to their side of the war would be pointless.

Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots to come to Android

Halfbrick has announced that one of the biggest – and in my opinion, most awesome – mobile titles of 2011, Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots, will be available for Android devices tomorrow (Monday, November 28).

Not only that, but as part of Amazon’s Cyber Monday promotions, they will be offering Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots as the FREE app of the day. After that, it will be available for 99c at the Amazon Appstore.

Fruit Ninja takes on an especially ‘Puss in Boots’ Spanish theme with Desperado and Bandito Mode. Desperado Mode adds Magic Beans and enhanced waves and scoring while Bandito Mode involves a four-tiered challenge adventure where players work through a number of increasingly difficult and varied puzzle-styled slicing games.

Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots was highly successful in the iOS market, so its inclusion to the Android market is a great move on Halfbrick’s part. Check out the iOS debut trailer that was released a month ago.
