Launch Date Updates on Existing Platforms for Simultaneous Release

Marvelous Europe today announced an updated launch date of June 5, 2025 for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma on the Nintendo Switch™ system and Windows PC via Steam. The latest entry in the popular action-RPG and life-simulation series will now launch alongside the Nintendo Switch™ 2version simultaneously.

Players will experience the Eastern territory of Azuma for the first time, a land of Japanese-inspired visuals and unique twists on familiar gameplay elements from the Rune Factory franchise. Those playing on Nintendo Switch 2 will experience the title in a higher resolution with improved frame rates, along with Joy-Con 2 mouse controls for village building.

The company also announced that those who have pre-ordered the Nintendo Switch version of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will be able to play on the new platform with the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack. Details regarding the upgrade pack will be available at a later date.

LONDON & Montpellier, France (April 3, 2025) – New details for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the debut title developed by French independent studio Sandfall Interactive and published by Kepler Interactive (Tchia, Sifu, Pacific Drive), have been revealed ahead of its imminent launch on April 24 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S (available day one with Xbox Game Pass) and PC via Steam and Epic Game Store. 

Fans looking forward to release can now watch the new ‘Sciel Character Trailer’ as part of an ongoing series that puts the spotlight on some of the playable characters players can look forward to discovering. Previous weeks have already revealed character trailers for Gustave, Maelle and Lune, and fans can also look forward to a trailer featuring Monoco the Gestral next week. 

The developers at Sandfall Interactive have also confirmed additional details across both PC and console ahead of launch, so players can prepare for their upcoming expedition to destroy the Paintress and end her curse of death. PC players will be able to fine-tune the game’s graphics to their liking with a variety of in-game settings and pre-sets (ranging from Low to Epic) to find an experience on their hardware that balances both incredible Unreal Engine 5-powered graphics and consistent framerate for a smooth gameplay experience. 

Additionally, console players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X can also look forward to playing the game in either Performance or Quality graphics modes to improve framerate or image resolution respectively, depending on their preferences. For PlayStation 5 Pro owners, Expedition 33 is PlayStation 5 Pro Enhanced, meaning players on the console can also look forward to enhanced performance, whilst Xbox players can pre-load the game now ahead of launch, and also take advantage of Xbox Play Anywhere capabilities when the game releases later this month. A free demo of Professional Fishing 2, the upcoming sequel of the popular fishing series developed by Polish studio MasterCode, published by Ultimate Games S.A., is now available on Steam. The demo offers access to the picturesque Forest Lake region set in Central Europe (Poland). New playable characters include a male and a female angler, both with appearance and outfit customization options.

The in-game shop features a new interface and an expanded selection of fishing gear. NPCs now include a tackle shopkeeper, a fish market trader, and a wanderer offering fishing tasks. Camera control in third-person view has been improved, and first-person view now focuses more realistically on the fishing rod. Players can now choose between short/precise and long casting techniques. Other updates include the removal of stamina limits, improved fish bite rates, more realistic influence of bait depth and rod type on casting, and the introduction of feeder fishing. Further updates planned by the end of the year include baiting mechanics, fishing from boats, and expanded multiplayer interaction.

The Early Access release is tentatively scheduled for Summer 2025, with the full release anticipated by the end of the year. The game will be published on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation5 in 2026.
