Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 New Online Features

EA Sports have released some details about the new online features for Tiger Woods’ PGA Tour 13, including Online Country Clubs as well as a new coin-based game economy.

The coin based economy allows players to earn coins through regular gameplay. These coins can then be used to purchase Pin acks as well as individual rounds on PDLC courses. The ultimate goal for players will be to unlock unlimited play on PDLC courses either by collecting all the pins for that specific course or by completing course mastery on that course by purchasing the individual round with the coins.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 will be out March 27 for Xbox 360 and PS3.

Bleach Anime Ending Next Month

In a shocking turn of events, TV Tokyo have announced that the Bleach anime series will be coming to an end on March 27. It will be replaced in it’s time slot by the Naruto: Rock Lee spin off.

This means that the anime series will end with the Fullbring arc, which as many fans of the manga would tell you is not a good place to stop. There is no word as of yet whether the series will ever return in any capacity to TV Tokyo but for now it is absolutely final that the anime series will end on March 27th, 2012. Studio Pierrot has already shut down production on the series and begun work on the Naruto: Rock Lee spin-off and Polar Bear Cafe (two new Pierrot series).

There have been previous instances in which an anime series based upon a manga has ended while it’s source material was still going. Recent examples of which are Reborn! and Gintama, the latter of which eventually made a return.

Watch a human find out he is a robot in latest Binary Domain trailer

In Binary Domain machines have infiltrated human society to such a degree they could be walking right next to you and you would never ever know it. The problem is, the machine wouldn’t even know it either. In Binary Domain there are certain machines called “Hollow Children” which are machines covered with human flesh who truly believe they’re human.

However what does one do when they are confronted with the fact that they are not a living breathing human but a machine? Well you can see in the cutscene video below that was released by Sega today. Though perhaps things may have went a little bit different if this poor Hollow Child didn’t run into a gang of humans with little sympathy for its plight…

Live-Action Bleach is really happening, the Final Kubo Troll

Warner Bros. have today announced that they have acquired the rights to develop a live-action film adaptation of Tite Kubo’s divisive supernatural action manga, Bleach, in a move that has shocked and confused fans.

The film will be produced by Warner Bros. who have already announced that Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans) will write the script and Peter Segal (Anger Management) will produce and direct. Other people attached to the project include Masi Oka (Heroes) and Jason Hoffs from Viz Productions.

It’s safe to say that like all news of a live-action adaptation of anime, that Bleach fans will most likely boycott the project before hearing any more details on it or even seeing a clip from the film. But with Warner Bros. track record for anime adaptations, all of which are pretty much considered dead projects (Death Note, Akira, Ninja Scroll) there may not be much for them to worry about. That is unless Warner Bros. pulls something from the playbook of Kubo himself and actually make this thing.

What do you think of a live-action Bleach film? Good? Bad? Impossible? Let us know in the shoutbox and comments section below.

0

The Playstation Vita has finally seen a release worldwide and is now available for the gaming public. Today saw Australia and New Zealand embrace the new handheld following the release of the handheld in North America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East on the 22nd of February. The PlayStation Vita offers uncompromised portable gaming experiences and provides the convenience of a small yet powerful device that you can use on the go. The launch draws on years of PlayStation gaming expertise and leadership; it is the fifth major hardware launch and the second portable launch for Sony Computer Entertainment Australia.

A hardware launch is never complete without the software to back it up. The Vita offers a library of over 20 games for gamers to choose from. These include first party offerings including Uncharted: Golden Abyss, WipEout 2048, Modnation Racers: Road Trip and Little Deviants. Supporting the first party line up is a great selection of third party games from Ubisoft, EA, Capcom and Sega, to name a few. The Vita doesn’t lack in social applications that people now expect from a portable device, such as Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. In addition, exclusive PS Vita social applications like “Near”, “Party” and “LiveArea” will provide gamers with new ways to connect with each other.

The Playstation Vita retails for AU$348 for Wi-Fi only and AU$418 for Wi-Fi/3G. Vodafone is the official carrier of the 3G Playstation Vita, however, the Australian model is not locked to one network.

Mass Effect 3 Comes to Sydney

Mass-Effect-3-Event-EA-06

A couple of very lucky editors here at Capsule Computers were in attendance at EA’s latest Mass Effect 3 event yesterday. A trendy Sydney nightclub was taken over by endless Commander Shepard cutouts, plenty of playable copies of the game and some faux metal paneling for that Normandy chic feeling.

Of course the main attraction of the night was the game itself (although Commander Shephard herself was in attendance). After a live rendition of the Mass Effect Theme and a brief introduction by Executive Producer Robin Theberge it was straight into the action, with a good dozen stations quickly snapped up by some of the more strategically positioned attendees. The game was looking and playing extremely well, accompanied as it was by some nifty Razer headsets and control pads. After much abuse of the character creation screen (there were some rather intriguing looking Shepards running around that day) it was down to business.

Mass-Effect-3-Event-EA-03So what was on offer? Well if you’ve played the demo then you’ve seen a little snippet of what was available at the event, which covered about the first hour of the game. As well as the opening scenes played through in the demo there was also a mission set on Mars, which saw Commander Shepard and her team taking on some more Cerberus minions. The level offered a largely combat based experience (no spoilers!), and like the public demo showed off some extremely tantalizing gameplay – roll on March!

Also looking promising on the night was iOS game Mass Effect: Infiltrator -part of the Galaxy at War line up for of Mass Effect 3 which is certainly shaping up to be a great looking addition to the Mass Effect universe. A couple of the guys from Melbourne based developers Iron Monkey were in attendance and Capsule Computers managed to snag a brief interview with them, which you’ll be able to check out soon. Thanks as always go to EA, and here’s to the imminent release of Mass Effect 3, due in Australia March 8.
