Cosmo D announces Moves of the Diamond Hand, a surreal narrative RPG heading to PC this year

Demo available now; explore a dubby jazz-noir mystery in Cosmo D’s grandest title to date

Brooklyn, NYC, United States – February 19, 2025 – Award-winning indie developer Cosmo D Studios is today pleased to announce Moves of the Diamond Hand – a brand new first-person narrative RPG set in a surreal dystopian jazz-drenched city.

The game will launch for PC, as a multi-chapter title into Steam Early Access – with the first full chapter of the game available as a free demo today. The demo will also be a participating title in Steam Next Fest, which begins next week.

Moves of the Diamond Hand builds upon the mechanics of Cosmo D’s previous game, the award-winning Betrayal At Club Low (Seumas McNally Grand Prize and Nuovo Award at the IGF Awards 2023), but is much grander in scope – delivering deeper dice-driven gameplay, a richer, more mysterious narrative and plenty of player choice and consequence. It evokes a feel of a multi-session tabletop RPG experience, with all player stats represented as dice; offering tons of opportunities for drama and strategy.

Set within the uncanny streets Off-Peak City, Moves of the Diamond Hand will see players on a quest to become a part of the legendary Circus X – an actual circus and artist crew of the highest caliber – in a bid to mint their destiny. However, Circus X isn’t hiring and there’s plenty of people who also want a piece of their magic (and money). To become part of this elite crew, players will need to figure out a way in. Sure, they’ll find leads, but they’ll also find trouble…

As they explore the neighborhood, players will meet a cast of odd characters, each with their own agendas, perspectives, and secrets; slowly becoming entangled in the strangest Mayoral election in the city’s history. One of the candidates isn’t even a real person, he’s the clone of a Mayor from a hundred years ago! Furthermore, someone called The Diamond Hand is playing all sides against one another. No one knows who they are or why they’re causing trouble. Players will have to decide if they are a potential collaborator, or a pawn in The Diamond Hand’s game?

Moves of the Diamond Hand is the culmination of Cosmo D’s previous work, a statement of intent going forward and his grandest title to date. As such, the game will be split into four chapters, each of which offering a few hours of playtime.

Chapter One is free for all to experience and now available to download via Steam. Chapter Two will go on sale in mid-2025 and mark the beginning of the Early Access period. Chapters Three and Four will follow in late 2025 and early 2026, respectively.

Anyone who purchases the game during the Early Access period will gain access to all released content as soon as it’s ready. Pricing and further information on future chapters will be announced at a later date. Dates given are development targets and are subject to change.

Moves of the Diamond Hand Features

  • A Full Embrace of the Spirit of Tabletop RPG Gaming – Your stats are all represented as dice. These dice offer opportunities for drama and strategy. Items are dice. Conditions are dice. Disguises are dice. These dice are all customizable in a myriad of different ways.
  • A Tight Narrative Full of Twists and Turns – Explore a dubby jazz noir mystery. You, along with your dice, will determine how it all plays out, right up to the very end.
  • Choices and Consequences Aplenty – Three very different mayoral candidates offer stark points of view and personality. But their race for The Key to the City is as close as it gets.
  • A City of Personalities – Odd characters, each with their own agendas, perspectives, and secrets, await your arrival. Some of them might have connections to previous Cosmo D games, but knowledge of those games is not required.
  • A Vibe Like No Other – Cosmo D games put a premium on head-nodding music and thick atmosphere. Moves of the Diamond Hand continues to elevate this approach.
  • A Collaborative, Transparent Approach to Release – Starting with Chapter One, all players will have access to a bug reporting and feedback menu in-game. Bug fixes, balance adjustments and quality of life improvements will be ongoing and continuous.

Moves of the Diamond Hand is scheduled to launch into PC Early Access later this year. Chapter One is available in its entirety today as a demo via Steam, where you can also wishlist the game.

For more information on Cosmo D Studios and Moves of the Diamond Hand, please visit the official website.

About Cosmo D Studios

Cosmo D is a game designer based in New York City, with a background in cello performance and music composition. One rainy night in June 2013, he was struck by a car while crossing the street and found himself unable to play or make music for several months.

While convalescing, he took it upon himself to learn the Unity Engine. The result was Off-Peak, released in 2015. A homage to Cosmo D’s home city of New York, as well as a commentary on the commodification of art and music in the urban space, Off-Peak gained a cult following, with hordes of press nods, let’s plays on YouTube, and a fanbase eagerly awaiting the follow-up.

With assistance from NYU Game Center’s Incubator program, publisher Alliance Digital Media, as well as the New York game development scene at large, Cosmo D released a sequel, The Norwood Suite, in October 2017. Building on the momentum from this release Cosmo D released Tales From Off-Peak City Vol. 1 in Spring of 2020, the award-winning Betrayal at Club Low in Fall 2022, and is now developing Moves of the Diamond Hand – his biggest project to date.

The PlayStation 5 physical edition will not only include the full version of the game on disc, but will also draw gamers deeper into the world of Antro with a beautifully created artbook containing illustrations from the game.

Fans of physical releases can pre-order the PlayStation 5 edition from specialist retail stores now! Check local stockists for pricing and availability.

About Antro

After The Collapse, only 1% of humankind survived and was forced to take refuge underground. Under the old city of Barcelona stands Antro, a dirty and dark hole divided into geographical strata. The inhabitants of the lowest levels fight for survival by working forced labour, while the ones in the higher levels rule over the new underground world.

Antro’s government has become a totalitarian system, handing power over to a corporation based on technological overproduction and the automation of sectors known as La Cúpula. Freedom of speech has been censored, art and music are forbidden, and a rebellion seems to be coming to life inside the den in which they’re living.

Journey through the most remote places in the underground metropolis of Antro, and join the protagonist, Nittch, as you embark on a mission to deliver a package to a mysterious, unknown recipient. While you’re at it, how about overthrowing the totalitarian government of La Cúpula?

Explore Antro to the rhythm of hip hop, drill, R&B, and electronic music, and move around the city overcoming obstacles in your way, be it by resolving puzzles or traversing the environment using parkour. But be prepared to run at full speed, as the pursuits in Antro are plentiful and both you and the scenario will move in synchrony with the music. But remember: the enemy is always lurking.

PC gamers can now download a free demo of Antro from Steam.

MASSIVE 1.4 UPDATE LAUNCHED FOR MEDIEVAL TURN-BASED TACTICS GAME, ‘PRICE OF GLORY’

The update introduces a revamped tutorial system and adds 3D visual effects to the mobile strategy title.

Orlando, Florida, 19 February 2025 | Mobile turn-based strategy title, Price of Glory, is treating players to a massive new update. The Alpha’s 1.4 launch introduces an updated tutorial system and 3D visual effects to enhance player’s immersion in the game’s medieval setting. Price of Glory is available now on iOS and Android in select regions.

Duel Head-to-Head

Welcome to Price of Glory, an asynchronous turn-based strategy game where players can compete for real rewards. Set in a medieval fantasy world of constant conflict, gear up for action and engage in strategic combat across arid deserts, dense forests, molten lava flows, and more. Price of Glory is a game of pure skill where nothing is left to chance. Players must carefully protect their stronghold against enemy forces while taking turns to advance into each other’s territory, overcome the opposing army, and destroy the enemy base to win. Clever positioning, effective attacks, and tactical foresight are essential in this strategy mobile title.

Available Now In 3D

Immerse yourself in the world of Price of Glory with the game’s latest 3D map update. See your units come to life as they spawn onto the battlefield with idle animations and particle effects. Call upon scouts to see through the fog of war, revealing your enemy’s position, and anticipate unseen threats to your party with healers. Powerful units, known as Heroes, possess unique abilities to change the tide of war. Summon Worp, a mech hero with teleportation abilities, or Blix, capable of converting an enemy unit into one of your own. The game’s primary resource, Animo, is used for spawning units, moving, attacking, and using special abilities. A limited amount of Animo is generated each turn, meaning every choice matters.

Ready For New Players

New players looking to join the action can experience Price of Glory’s updated tutorial system. Begin with an overview of the game’s objective: reducing the enemy’s base to rubble. Following this objective, learn how to manage Animo, spawn different enemy types, and check your units’ HP and attack power. Some units require more Animo to spawn in exchange for greater damage, so managing this balance is a key skill. Once you’ve completed the tutorial, you’re ready to take to the battlefield! “Skirmishes” are the game’s quickplay mode, dropping players straight into the action for low-stakes play. For serious competitors, tournaments up the ante, pitting up to 64 players against each other in a single-elimination bracket with larger rewards. Salt Crystal currency is required to enter these tournaments and is awarded through the Salt Mines or other in-game objectives, such as inviting players to your dynasty.

Gameplay Features:

  • 3D graphics immerse players in this competitive medieval world!
  • A refined tutorial system offers new players a quick overview of the game.
  • Asynchronous play encourages players to play how they want, when they want, giving them up to 24 hours per turn or 5 minutes per turn in Blitz mode.
  • Strategic gameplay challenges players to think strategically as they manage Animo resources, control strategic tiles, and maneuver around various map layouts to outsmart their opponents.
  • Casual play is available through the “Skirmish” game mode. These one-off matches offer rewards to unlock future in-game content.
  • Two tournament modes offer competitive play for those looking to up the ante. Tournament entry costs are earned through in-game objectives!
  • A Dynasty system rewards players for inviting friends and being active in-game to receive in-game benefits.

Price of Glory’s Open Alpha is out now for iOS and Android in select regions. More information on Price of Glory is available on the game’s website, and eager players can join their community on Discord for sneak peeks, tournament information, and more.

Time to Deep Clean! Scrub up in the new major update for cozy shopkeeping game Trash Goblin

Upgrade your washing utensils, spot dirt easier with a new highlight feature and discover inventive Chisel variants to help clean your wares

London, England – February 19th, 2025 — Indie game developer Spilt Milk Studios is proud to announce that their third content update, “Deep Clean”, is now available for their ‘Very Positive’ rated wholesome shopkeeping game Trash Goblin, currently on PC via Steam Early Access. Upgrade your tools including the sponge and soak tub to scrub and tidy your way in this update for the cosy shop simulator!

“Deep Clean”, the third major content update since Trash Goblin launched in Early Access, focuses on revitalising and fine-tuning tools to make cleaning easier and faster. Essential to any crafty goblin, the Chisel can now be upgraded twice to make it even more powerful. Different Chisels have different abilities, like the “Lance” which can punch through multiple blocks in one direction, or the “Cross” which deals a hefty spread of damage to a targeted block. Upgrades also come to the Sponge and Soak Tub, helping the pace of cleaning and allowing room for more dirty trinkets.

Alongside the item upgrades, the patch also introduces a new Quest Tracker, making it easier to keep track of customer requests by displaying their name, order, and the condition of the trinket – clean or dirty. Customers of different species now all have their own distinct voice burble, and cleaning time is now relative to the size of a trinket, so smaller trinkets take less effort to clean than larger ones. The “Deep Clean” update brings upwards of 51 additions, changes, tweaks, bug fixes and a good ol’ spring clean to Trash Goblin today!

In other exciting news, Trash Goblin has been announced as a finalist at the GDWC Winter Season for Best Studio Game with the awards due to be unveiled on March 14th.

Trash Goblin’s Early Access launch features:

  • 70 trinkets, accessories & variations to find, clean, repair and upcycle with well over 180 unique (and sometimes questionable) combinations to muck around with
  • 8+ tools & upgrades to use across 3 trinket-care minigames
