It has been quite some time since 7sixty Games has said anything about their anime-styled fighting game Phantom Breaker. In fact, the game was originally meant to be released back in July after it was already delayed at one point to fix bugs and since that date has already passed, gamers have been in the dark about Phantom Breaker’s potential release.
Well, despite the silence of the company, potential purchasers can still set their money aside because 7sixty posted the following update for the game’s status on their Facebook page yesterday:
We’re hot off the heels of a Phantom Breaker status meeting. We’ve been working with Microsoft as quickly as we can to get everything on the business end squared away for launch. The process is moving forward, but it hasn’t been moving along as quickly as we thought it would be over the past week.
Things tend to slow down when big shows are on the horizon (anyone going to be at PAX by chance?) so we should be moving forward again after the holiday weekend.
As we said in the comments late last week there are still some giveaways planned for launch which includes one last Eightarc stick! Not only that, but some of us here will be jumping online to join you in some matches via Xbox Live.
Thanks to all the fans that have stuck with us through this. It’s great to see people so supportive of the game, even through the snags we’ve hit along the way.
This is great news for those who have been keeping an eye on Phantom Breaker as this means that the title is still going to be released at some point in the future, though when exactly is currently unknown. Those of you wanting to learn a little bit more about the game now that it is still on the way can find our preview of the title here.
While the Ni no kuni: Wrath of the White Witch “Ninostarter” program was meant to end tomorrow, it seems that Namco Bandai wants to give everyone a couple more days to pre-order the game and make the program reach its level two goal of a golden wizard coin being added to the Wizard’s Edition of the game.
With PAX Prime happening this weekend, Namco Bandai has announced that the program has been extended throughout the weekend and will now end on September 3rd. It is worth noting that while only United States residents could pre-order the game in the past, now Canadian gamers can as well. Those who wish to pre-order the game or simply take a look at the Ninostarter can find it here.
Double Fine has revealed that they will soon be breaking into the iOS business with a new game that combines all the fun of superheroes battling villains with the enjoyment of middle management. The game itself is called Middle Manager of Justice and it will task the player with being the new Middle Manager of a branch of Justice Corp.
The title will be released as a free-to-play game and will be released sometime “soon.” Until then you can watch the trailer below to catch a glimpse of what will be in store for you as you begin to manage your team of superheroes and train them to be the best around.
As we have already mentioned, Atelier Totori is being ported over to the PlayStation Vita with a number of little bonuses as Atelier Totori Plus. Now a few more pieces of information about the game have been revealed as well as the first screenshots of the game have surfaced on Famitsu.com.

Currently the game is slated to be released in Japan on November 29th, so until then you can check out how gorgeous the title looks on the Vita with the screenshots below.
