Atelier Ayesha sequel teased by Gust

A sequel to an Atelier game? How revolutionary. But in all seriousness, director Yoshito Okamura revealed during an interview in this week’s Dengeki PlayStation that fans should “please anticipate it” when asked about a sequel. He went on to say that he would b “willing to work on it and am up to the challenge of something new.”

Of course this isn’t too new as far as Gust is concerned considering they quickly made three games in the Arland series which then were brought over to North America, so this series would probably be something similar. Of course it will be interesting if they actually continue the story with the main character, rather than introduce someone entirely new this time around with past characters playing cameo rolls.

Dead or Alive 5’s latest Fighter Chronicles follows the sexiness of realism

Hey look, Helena in her collector’s edition swimsuit! But wait, there is more! Today Tecmo Koei released another video in their developer diary series “Fighter Chronicles.” In this one viewers will see a number of the game’s developers as they talk about how well known most of the characters have gotten over the series and how it was difficult at times to add new moves to pre-existing characters.

They go on to talk about how the company is taking a more “mature” approach to the sexiness that Dead or Alive is known for with this upcoming game by looking at various things that occur around them in everyday life, such as realistic hair movement, dirt, sweat and of course… the breast physics. The video itself can be seen below and hey, Helena is up there too if you want to check again, now the only one missing is Lisa (La Mariposa.)

Lightning Saga is not the name of the next Final Fantasy

Since Square Enix began teasing their next Final Fantasy announcement they have been tossing around the name Lightning Saga quite a lot. This has apparently led to some people thinking that the next Final Fantasy game would actually be called Lightning Saga, considering the massive amount of focus the character has gotten.

However it seems that will not be the case as Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase stated on Twitter that while the announcement will focus on the Lightning Saga, that is not the name of the game that will be revealed. Still, he did confirm that there will indeed be a new game of some sort revealed during the event. So stay tuned this weekend on September 1st for the big reveal.
