Carrier Command: Gaea Mission X360 Trailer

Bohemia Interactive have recently put up a trailer showcasing footage from their upcoming game Carrier Command: Gaea Mission. In this trailer, titled Xbox 360 Assault Trailer, we can see how impressive this title will appear on the Microsoft console when it is released.

The Xbox 360 centered trailer shows off not only the visuals of the game on the console version, but it also includes a little bit of the games storyline that is featured within the main campaign. From the looks of things, this will be quite an interesting game.

What’s also of note is that the title will be shipping, not only with an FPS main mode of gameplay, but also with a mode reminiscent of the original game called Strategy Game. This is shaping up to be an excellent package, considering that most games will usually just come with a single player story and paid DLC content.

Be sure to check out the trailer embedded below for more info.

Pre-order Dead Island: Riptide for a SteelBook case

Now that Dead Island: Riptide has been fully revealed and shown off at PAX Prime today, Deep Silver and Techland have chosen to reveal one of the pre-order bonuses for the game despite the fact that it won’t be released until some point in 2013.

Anyone who pre-orders a copy of the game from GameStop, Amazon or Best Buy will automatically get a “extremely limited edition” version of the game which comes inside of a SteelBook case with some rather interesting artwork shown below. Those interested in learning about the few details so far released for the game can find them here.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII announced for 2013

Square Enix revealed during their Lightning Saga event in Japan today that they will be bringing another Final Fantasy XIII title out to the public in the form of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Let Sir Hammerlock introduce you to Borderlands 2

With Borderlands 2 about two and a half weeks away from being released at this point in time, it seems that 2K Games and Gearbox are turning their marketing level up to one hundred because they have just released a new seven minute trailer to help introduce potential buyers to the various characters, weapons and changes that have happened to Pandora since the original Borderlands.

The trailer itself can be seen below and it is humorously narrated by Sir Hammerlock. Excited enough yet? Then you should keep an eye out for the game when it hits store shelves on September 18th for the PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.

More Silent Hill: Book of Memories screens spotted in the wild

With the October release of Silent Hill: Book of Memories growing closer, Konami has decided that they would upload a few new screenshots of the game to their Facebook page. These screenshots can be seen below and fans of the franchise should probably take a chill pill at this point in time, because these screenshots actually look pretty decent.

Sure the title may not play like any other Silent Hill game, what with it being designed like a dungeon crawling game that can allow for co-op play via multiplayer, but it is an interesting direction to take and one that looks like it will work well with what the Vita is capable of.

Dead Island Riptide arrives in 2013 with character importation

Deep Silver had a few things to reveal about Dead Island Riptide today and one of them is the fact that the game isn’t really a sequel but more of a spin-off. The title will focus more on close combat than the latter half of Dead Island which began to focus on gunplay instead.

The company has also added in a new weather system as well as upgrades to the gameplay engine from the first game. The weather system will allow players to float down rivers on boats, though you’ll have to deal with the zombies that are also in those rivers. The game will take place on an entirely new island near the previous island and gamers can import their character stats from the original Dead Island. As for when gamers can expect the title, Deep Silver has currently listed a release window of sometime in 2013.

Torchlight 2 release date finally announced

Fans of the original Torchlight have been anxiously waiting for news about the sequel’s release date. Unfortunately that wait time has been quite long and fans were beginning to worry about the title since it was originally meant to be released before Diablo III last year.

However today it has been announced by Runic president and Torchlight II designer Travis Baldree that the game will be released on PCs on September 20th. The title will cost $20 when it will be released and is actually being released at quit an opportune time thanks to the fact that many people have seemingly abandoned Diablo III due to Blizzard’s shady practices and poor development.

Bikini DLC included with early copies of Atelier Totori Plus

Now that we have a confirmation about the game’s existence, it’s release date and even seen some screenshots of what the title will look like, it is safe to say that Atelier Totori Plus is well on its way to taking the PlayStation Vita by storm with its beautiful visuals and enjoyable gameplay.

Well now it seems that there is even more motivation for gamers in Japan who want to pick up the title early, as Andriasang is reporting that Gust is going to be including some bonus DLC in early copies of the game. The DLC will provide the player with two sets of swimwear costumes, an Angel Swimsuit and Little Devil Bikini. Sounds a bit like Dead or Alive 5’s swimsuit DLC doesn’t it? Let us hope if Atelier Totori Plus does get released in North America, this little treat makes the trip as well.

Neptunia V gets a launch trailer in Japan

Although a localization announcement for Neptunia V has not occurred for the West at the moment, it is highly likely that one will be made eventually. As such it seems like fans of the series and fans of RPGs in general may want to check out the launch trailer for the game which was released today to commemorate the game’s release in Japan.

The trailer features a number of the game’s characters as well as some battle sequences. Neptunia V continues the tradition of past Neptunia titles with all of the main characters being personifications of game consoles and a number of other characters referencing other Japanese companies have also been created specifically for Neptunia V.

Phantom Breaker is not cancelled; still on the way

It has been quite some time since 7sixty Games has said anything about their anime-styled fighting game Phantom Breaker. In fact, the game was originally meant to be released back in July after it was already delayed at one point to fix bugs and since that date has already passed, gamers have been in the dark about Phantom Breaker’s potential release.

Well, despite the silence of the company, potential purchasers can still set their money aside because 7sixty posted the following update for the game’s status on their Facebook page yesterday:

We’re hot off the heels of a Phantom Breaker status meeting. We’ve been working with Microsoft as quickly as we can to get everything on the business end squared away for launch. The process is moving forward, but it hasn’t been moving along as quickly as we thought it would be over the past week.

Things tend to slow down when big shows are on the horizon (anyone going to be at PAX by chance?) so we should be moving forward again after the holiday weekend.

As we said in the comments late last week there are still some giveaways planned for launch which includes one last Eightarc stick! Not only that, but some of us here will be jumping online to join you in some matches via Xbox Live.

Thanks to all the fans that have stuck with us through this. It’s great to see people so supportive of the game, even through the snags we’ve hit along the way.

This is great news for those who have been keeping an eye on Phantom Breaker as this means that the title is still going to be released at some point in the future, though when exactly is currently unknown. Those of you wanting to learn a little bit more about the game now that it is still on the way can find our preview of the title here.
