Remember Me TGS trailer walks us through the Combo Lab

Remember when Capcom announced Remember Me a couple of months ago? Well I’m sure you do because it had quite a stylistic appearance. Well now that Tokyo Game Show is in full swing Capcom released a new trailer for Dontnod Entertainment’s Remember Me and in this video we are given a walkthrough of the game’s “Combo Lab” system.

This Combo Lab will allow players to create and customize their own combo attacks by unlocking and stringing together various fighting move memories. There are four combo sequences that can be remembered (unlocked) in the game and they can be customized in this mode. Each combo begins with a basic attack which can be followed up with a number of “Pressens.” But don’t listen to my explanation, listen to Remember Me’s creative director Jean-Maxime Moris give a much better one below!

Zero no Kiseki Evolution’s TGS trailer is beautiful

With Tokyo Game Show still going on over in Japan, Falcom has chosen to release a new trailer for their upcoming PlayStation Vita RPG The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki Evolution. The video itself can be seen below and for those who don’t know, The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki Evolution is a port of the 2010 PSP release.

Currently the game is meant to be released on October 18th in Japan and at the moment there have been no plans made for a Western release of the game. Of course with how beautiful the game looks in this trailer, it would be quite a shame for this game to be passed up. It is worth noting that XSEED Games released The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky last year on the PSP, so they may be the most likely ones to make such a localization announcement.

Sleeping Dogs’ October DLC detailed

Square Enix’s plans to support Sleeping Dogs with six months of DLC continues into the month of October and today the company revealed what sort of content gamers will be able to purchase in the month of October. There will be a Street Racer pack that adds in three new races, one in a car, one in a boat and one on a motorcycle. This package will also include a Sting motorcycle, a special helmet and even a leather jacket that protects against gunfire.

Also released during the month of October is a SWAT pack that gives you a chance to use an armored van to respond to emergencies in a new SWAT outfit that provides twice as much defense as normal. There will also be a Tactical Soldier pack that unlocks special assault rifles with grenade launchers and a special outfit. No price has been announced for these packs, but there will be a free gift pack sometime in October.

Those who are curious about actual story DLC will have to wait until October 14th when Square Enix announces it at New York Comic Con. Until then, check out these various packs shown off in the trailer below.

Australian game developers Firemonkeys launched their development diary series for Real Racing 3. The first video shows off graphic improvements to the game and creating the most realistic cars possible in the game. Even minor details such as the pain finishes and the brakes behind the hub caps on the car has been carefully added. Real Racing 3 provides mobile gamers a chance to get behind the wheel of some of the best cars in the world from top manufacturers such as Porsche, Audi, and Dodge.

In addition, to celebrate the release of the iPhone 5, EA Mobile is knocking down the prices of some of their best games up to 80% off. The sale ends Monday.

New Worms Revolution trailer, hide your grandma

Worms Revolution is almost upon us and Team 17 have released another trailer video showcasing some of the unique weapons and giving a very brief glimpse of some of the new environments. There’s nothing like watching a maniacal worm using an old lady to blow up their opponents or a giant water pistol to just blast the into oblivion. The trailer also shows just how far the little guys have come over the years, always adapting to new environments and manifesting fabulous and fun weapons along the way.

Worms revolution will launch on October 10th on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms via their respective online services and is now available through Steam for pre-order. The Worms pre-order pack includes

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time gets a solid release date

The once delayed Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time now has a solid release date as Sony revealed that the game will be hitting the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita in North America on February 5, 2013 and in Europe sometime in March. It is worth noting that gamers who pre-order the game will also get special skins for Sly and Murray.

To go along with this announcement the company also released the final box art for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time which can be seen to the right. On the box art we see that those who buy the PlayStation 3 version of the game will be given the Vita version for free as part of Sony’s cross-buy promotion.

Older PlayStation 3 models will not be given a price cut

One would think that with the reveal of the new “super-slim” PlayStation 3 announced at Tokyo Game Show a few days ago the price of older versions of the console would drop a bit. Well, that would normally be the case but that isn’t going to happen with the PlayStation 3 according to SCEA VP John Koller.

In an interview with Engadget he stated that “There’s no price drop formally. But the thing that’s been happening in the market over the last year or so is that there’s been so many retail price promotions, and so many different gift card offers and all those things, being done by all of us (Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony), that we’ve heard from our consumer, ‘Enough with all these weird price moves. What we really want is content and games and value.'”

Well… I’m not sure what consumers he has been speaking too but he certainly seems to be putting a nice little spin on their decision. It is worth noting however that in about a month and a half one of the biggest sales in the United States, Black Friday, will make the PlayStation 3’s price drop significantly for at least one day, so Sony can continue to sit on their hands.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter beta begins in October

EA has announced that they will be starting the Medal of Honor: Warfighter multiplayer beta in early October for Xbox 360 players. To reward people who have taken part in the beta, participants will receive a full hour of double XP when the full game is revealed. The beta itself will be primarily testing a new multiplayer mode called “Hotspot.”

In Hotpsot players will have to basically play king of the hill on a the Sarajevo Stadium map. If over three million people take part in the beta EA will unlock a special music video from Linkin Park called “Castle of Glass” earlier than they previously stated. For those curious about when Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be released to stores in it’s entirety, it is currently set to hit shelves on October 23rd.

New Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Trailer from TGS

Coming out of the Tokyo Game Show was a new trailer released by Konami and Kojima Productions for their upcoming side entry into the Metal Gear Solid series, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.  The trailer this time around focuses on story, though non-Japanese fans may have a little trouble piecing it together as, since the trailer was for TGS, it is in Japanese.

Despite that one language barrier, fans of Metal Gear shouldn’t have too hard of a time figuring out a bit of what’s going on and even if they don’t there is plenty of action in the trailer too.  Just be sure to stick around towards the full end of the trailer too as there are some lighters moments with some humor that you might miss.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is set to release on February 21st, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  Be sure to check out the TGS trailer embedded below.

New Little King’s Story Hits Australia October 4

In Europe, New Little King’s Story will be released next week. For those in Australia and New Zealand, however, patience will have to be exercised a little longer. Konami has revealed that New Little King’s Story for the Playstation Vita will be released on October 4 in Australia and New Zealand, one week after the European release of September 27. A price for both retail and digital download was not announced at this point in time.

In New Little King’s Story, players will take control of King Corobo, tasked with reclaiming his kingdom from the Devil King, “The Nightmare.” In order to achieve this, King Corobo must battle through seven different kingdoms with the Royal Guard, loyal followers and soldiers of King Corobo. Players can use the different control methods, including the rear touch pad, to lead King Corobo and his Royal Guard to victory. Online features such as downloadable content, item combining, co-operative play and online leaderboards will also be included.
