When players are given a chance to play as one of the deadliest assassins in the world, most of them spend time figuring out all the neat little ways they can go about killing everyone in the area with every tool at their disposal. But before you do that, perhaps you should remember that there is a story to be told in Square Enix’s Hitman: Absolution and this latest developer diary tells you exactly how they managed to create an immersive storyline to surround all of the deathdealing.
They also demonstrate a full performance motion capture at Giant Studios in Los Angeles, California and how they had to create some new smoking techniques for one of the characters in the game. Check out the video itself below.

On the game, the developers had this to say –
The developer says…
“It’s a game that lets you know what dads do when they are off to work. I doubt my dad was slaying mutants and blowing up stuff when he was on a late shift, but I’ll never know.”
Maarten de Koning, Managing Director at Green Hill says…
“We’re excited to bring Digital Tribe Games and Serious Brew together on this amazing journey to outer space! The creative freedom for the developer was an important goal for us, and collaborating with Digital Tribe Games proved to be a good fit. Now all gamers around the world can enjoy this truly unique title on Mac and PC.”
The title will be releasing on the Steam service for both Windows PC and Mac platforms. It will sell for $9.99 and is being regarded as an action-platformer. Be sure to check out the trailer below for more info.
Editors Note: This game actually looks pretty fun!
Players with access to the Marvel XP universe of games, Avengers Initiative and Avengers Alliance, can expect some new content to open up to them as New York Comic Con opens. This content has players unlocking a new costume for The Hulk in Avengers Initiative, as well as a chance to unlock everybodies (including my own) favourite merc-with-a-mouth Deadpool for Avengers Alliance on Facebook.
For all of the information, directly from Marvel themselves, check out the following quotes –
Avengers Initiative (Mobile Game): For the duration of New YorkComic Con, from October 11 – 14, Avengers Initiative, Marvel’s first episodic game created exclusively for mobile devices, is giving the Gladiator Hulk costume away for free! This unique costume, a $3 value, provides players with additional bonuses as they battle their way through a barrage of super-powered criminals who have escaped from a top-secret S.H.I.E.L.D. holding facility. Marvel is also offering this critically-acclaimed brawler for a limited time at $2.99!
Marvel: Avengers Alliance (Social Game): The Marvel: Avengers Alliance team just recently stepped up their competitive Player vs. Player scene with a new tournament system that offers amazing exclusive rewards for the most dedicated of all S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents. Players will be placed into tournament “leagues” determined by their PVP performance with prizes awarded based on a leaderboard system. Tournament “seasons” will last approximately one month. At the end of each PVP season players will earn rewards based on their league placement, receiving their current league’s reward plus all those beneath it.
As stated earlier, Deadpool will the prize for this PvP season. Everyone will have to fight their hardest to earn those top spots to win over the crimson comedian.
Interestingly enough, players don’t need to use Facebook to play this Marvel Avengers Alliance game; they can do so on this Playdom service. Be sure to check out the iOS and Android Marketplaces for corresponding versions of the game.
For the two of you who were unaware, Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 launched this past Sunday. I’m sure a lot of you are making your way through the new story and visiting those familiar faces of Unova, but you should also remember a few other extras recently released alongside the set of Poke titles.
Pokémon Dream Radar and Pokédex 3D Pro are 3DS exclusive extras, which each come with a small fee to add to the Pokemon experience. Dream Radar lets players transfer hard to find Pokemon to the main games through a unique mini-game, while Pokedex 3D Pro acts as a complete Pokedex, featuring all 640+ species. Our review will be up soon, so stay tuned for that, and get to downloading and playing as all of the above are available now.

It looks like Compile Heart is working on a PlayStation Vita game of some sort, as Game Jouhou is reporting that this week’s copy of Famitsu contains information about a Vita game from Compile Heart that is being called Monster Monpiece. A website for the game has also been launched and can be found here.
Currently there is little information about what the game will involve, though it seems that it is an original IP of some sort. The game itself will apparently feature a chibi art style and involve “rubbing, pinching and poking.” Given Compile Heart’s history for risque games, perhaps this is one of the first ecchi type titles for the Vita? Well from the image seen above and shown on the game’s teaser website, this is a yes.

The incredibly popular Serious Sam 3 for PC garnered much critical acclaim amongst fans and reviewers alike. The epic 16 player Campaign co-op being just one of the reasons for its incredible popularity. The game itself harkens back to gaming of old with no cover system or recharging health and a huge emphasis on insanely large amounts of enemies for you to strafe and shoot at on each level.
Well congratulations Xbox 360 owners, because Serious Sam 3: BFE has just been announced as coming to Xbox Live this October 17th. In less than a week new fans and old veterans will be able to get their hands on this extensively ported version of the game, designed just with the Xbox 360 in mind.
The new version will feature both, Singleplayer and Splitscreen Campaign as well as the huge online co-op and competitive gametypes. For just 1200 Microsoft Points. For an extra 1200 Points, players will also get the Jewel of the Nile campaign expansion, as well as the Deathmatch, Last Team Standing, Capture the Flag and My Burden competitive game modes.
“Ever since we announced Serious Sam 3: BFE our fans have asked us to bring the game to Xbox LIVEArcade,” said Davor Hunski, Chief Creative Guy at Croteam. “Boom. Done.”
Also including 25 achievements and classic leaderboards, this package seems like the perfect way for Xbox 360 players to finally get into the game.
“Awesome, now I can go from getting absolutely annihilated by some loudmouth with a mouse and keyboard to getting annihilated by some loudmouth with an Xbox 360 controller,” said Fork Parker, Devolver Digital CFO. “Damn these silky smooth thumbs.”
Serious Sam BFE will be releasing on the Xbox Live platform on the 17th of Octorber.
