More names to be revealed in the leadup to the May event

BOSTON – March 27, 2025 – PAX East 2025 organizers ReedPop and Penny Arcade today unveil the first round exhibitor list with more than 280 talented developers, publishers, and other companies within the gaming industry set to participate in the East Coast’s most-attended gaming event. More names will be revealed in the coming weeks for the event taking place Thursday, May 8, through Sunday, May 11, at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.

Also revealed today, a new trailer spotlights never-before-seen gameplay including the first glimpse of a powerful mode players unlock as they progress through the game, where they take on the form of a massive robotic mech called GAIA. GAIA inflicts devastating damage to enemies and levels the playing field for battles with some of the game’s most epically huge bosses. GAIA is the latest reveal of multiple modes of play along with the quick and agile Swordsman No.8 melee combat and Mini PUCK mode that lets players ride rails and explore small areas in classic PAC-MAN fashion.

As a departure from any previous PAC-MAN game, SHADOW LABYRINTH puts players in the role of another character as protagonist, a warrior named Swordsman No. 8, but with the mysterious yet familiar yellow companion PUCK at their side. PUCK’s role is that of guide and guardian, teaching players that their aim in this treacherous world is to escape it, and to achieve that they must consume everything that waits in the darkness to survive and grow more powerful.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Fallen Banners dungeon pack and free Update 45 base-game patch is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 consoles. Starting today, console players can venture into two new four-player dungeons, Exiled Redoubt and Lep Seclusa, following the launch for PC/Mac on March 11.

The Fallen Banners introduces two new PvE dungeons that feature their own personalised storylines, characters, challenges, unique boss battles, and secrets. Players will earn unique rewards, including item sets, collectibles, and Achievements as they battle their way through the new content with up to three other players (four total).

To access the Fallen Banners dungeon content, players are required to have an ESO Plus membership. However, later this year, additional ways to access this content will be made available—find out more during the 2025 ESO Direct on April 11 at 5AM AEST. All the details on both the Exiled Redoubt and Lep Seclusa can be found on the ESO official website.

Accompanying Fallen Banners is Update 45, a free base-game patch, providing all ESO players with a series of fixes, additions, and improvements to the game’s core experience. As part of this patch, several starter zones have received visual updates to better match the high level of detail seen throughout the rest of ESO.

Additionally, this base-game patch brings various quality-of-life improvements, including faster starting mount speeds, reworked Craft Champion stars that don’t need slotting, and better visibility for Mundus Stone boons, with more updates expected throughout the year. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe announces today that the iconic 90’s pocket companions are back in a new videogame with Tamagotchi Plaza,coming on 27 June 2025 for Nintendo Switch.

The latest entry into the Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series will bring back the unique feel of setting up quirky shops in the Tamagotchi world and serving cute characters with even more fun possibilities! The Great Gotchi King declared the Tamagotchi Fest will be held in the most exciting city of Tamagotchi Planet. It will be up to the player to help Prince Tamahiko turn Tamahiko town into a lively place fit to welcome the festival.

Enjoy a total of 12 different shops around the town’s plaza, from returned classics found in the Corner Shop series like the Dentist, to new establishments like the Afternoon Tea Shop, the Eyewear or Galette shop. Each shop will bring its own mini game with unique gameplay and serving clients well will increase the reputation of shops, attracting more than 100 Tamagotchi customers to meet!

Some shops will allow players to share a controller for offline two players co-op mini games to play with a friend. The team is working on a new first-person sci-fi adventure coming soon

Toronto, Canada – March 27, 2025 – Soft Rains is a newly announced independent game studio founded by industry veterans from AAA and indie studios, including Bethesda Game Studios, Ubisoft Toronto, Capybara Games, Riot, and more. The team is currently developing an unannounced sci-fi first-person adventure title that brings a modern twist to the genre.

Soft Rains is co-founded by studio head Joel Burgess, game director Matt Scott, technical director Jules Glegg, narrative director Kaitlin Tremblay, and world director Daryl Brigner, a group whose past work spans major titles like Skyrim, Fallout 4, and VALORANT, to acclaimed indie games like A Mortician’s Tale and Grindstone. The studio brings together world-class development experience, from worldbuilding and memorable storytelling to immersive gameplay and art.

The adventure platformer based on the beloved TV series is now available in Europe at major retailers, including GAME, Argos, and Amazon, with digital editions on the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop worldwide—US physical editions out April 8

Los Angeles, California – March 27, 2025 | Maximum Entertainment, in collaboration with Cloudco Entertainment, is excited to announce the official launch of Care Bears: Unlock the Magic, a vibrant adventure platformer based on the beloved TV series. Now available on PlayStation®5 (digital and EU retail), PlayStation®4 (digital only), and Nintendo Switch™ (EU retail and digital editions), the game brings the whimsical world of Care-A-Lot to life with engaging gameplay designed for fans of all ages. Physical Nintendo Switch editions will be available in the US on April 8^th while PlayStation 5 will be available on May 6^th. 

Players can step into the paws of Cheer Bear, Bedtime Bear, Tenderheart Bear, and more, exploring over 200 levels filled with mini-games, obstacles, and magical Belly Badge abilities. Inspired by classic arcade-style gameplay, Care Bears: Unlock the Magic blends adventure, teamwork, and fun challenges to create an interactive experience that is both nostalgic and fresh.
