Brand new Wonderful 101 trailer released

wonderful101
Platinum Games fans have reason to be excited as Nintendo showed off a brand new trailer for the upcoming mass hero action game Wonderful 101 which featured English voice-work as well as new gameplay footage.

The trailer which you can see below focuses on a number of the heroes that players will control throughout the game. It is very evident by the trailer that this game is somewhat of a spiritual successor of Viewtiful Joe, especially when you consider the uncanny appearances of the heroes and general superhero theme. Not to mention Hideki Kamiya the man behind Viewtiful Joe is working on this title.

Be sure to check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments section.

In tonights Nintendo Direct Conference, Iwata-san has announced a new smartphone app that allows users to access the Mii Universe using their smartphones. While no specifics have been announced for the service, it is something that Nintendo will be looking into including to their repertoire in the future.

We can only speculate as to why this is a good idea but I feel that this is Nintendo’s way of keeping people connected across many different mediums, as is their intent with this system. What do you think of this new app from Nintendo? Is this their first entry into the Phone marketplace?

In tonights Nintendo Direct conference held online, Nintendo’s Iwata-san has announced that their will be a brand-new Action based Super Mario game coming for the Wii U console. This game is being designed by the Mario Galaxy and Mario Galaxy 2 team so it should be an incredibly dun game to play.

Other than that, not much info has been posted on the game, but we can be sure to expect more news from Nintendo during the coming months. We will probably get a closer look at the title come time for E3.

What do you think of this? Too much Mario? Let us know in the comments below.

The Legend of Zelda Glorious HD Zelda Announced

At tonights Nintendo Direct conference held on the internet, Iwata-san had a small, but detailed look on an upcoming Zelda title for the Wii U. This will be a new Zelda game that is apparently going to be designed to change up the way the Zelda experience is handled.

This is not surprising since the theme for this new Zelda game is “Rethink the conventions of Zelda”. This is, I think, a great convention for a New Zelda title to have as the formula has pretty much been beaten to death at this point (even if I still love it, I can see why some players are getting annoyed). It will be interesting to see where the team takes this new concept. I believe we can expect some early promo for this game at around E3.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has just announced via the Wii U Nintendo Direct presentation that the Wii U will be receiving two system updates; one coming in Spring, and one coming in Summer.

The updates will do wonders in improving load times, cutting the time it takes to return to the Wii U main menu and helping software to launch much quicker. What’s more exciting is the news that the Virtual Console service will be coming alongside, or possibly shortly after, the Spring update as it will be adding the appropriate software to the Wii U Nintendo eShop.

As was the case with the Wii, NES games will be priced at $4.99-$5.99 and SNES games will range from $7.99-$8.99. Now, you will have to pay an extra $1 and $1.50, respectively, to purchase the Wii U version of any NES or SNES titles you already own on the Wii. Before you start audibly shouting “Why?!”, know that this is because there are extra features such as 3DS-like save states, the option to play entirely on the GamePad and ability to post to Miiverse added.

To celebrate its launch and the 30th anniversary of the NES since it’s initial Launch in Japan, Nintendo are also running a Wii U Virtual Console Trial Campaign, the details of which can be found here.

At the Wii U-centric Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata introduced a gameplay trailer of a title simply dubbed ‘X’. You can view the trailer below!

It is being made by the franchise’s developers Monolith Soft and we believe it to be something of a spiritual successor to Xenoblade Chronicles, and not necessarily a sequel. As you are able to see, it has hot-keyed attacks and mech combat. It seems you will be able to pilot mechs, which can even transform between a combat and vehicle state.

Any Xenoblade fans out there? How are excited are you for ‘X’!? Let us know, and watch the trailer below!!

Nintendo showed off a brief trailer of the game which featured a huge cast of characters from both series which are sure to feature in this crossover title. No news was revealed on what type of game this well be but both series being RPG series seem to insinuate that this will be an RPG as well.
